Am.Cancer society: As of 2010, scientific evidence does NOT support the notion that induced abortion raises the risk of breast cancer or any other cancers .....MAYO CLINIC website:< “There's no credible evidence of a link between induced abortion & cancer “...............PROLIFE LIES
Some folks seem to have trouble grasping this elementary logical point: Just because induced abortion is supposed to be associated with a greater risk of breast cancer, this doesn't mean that if someone doesn't have an abortion they'll NEVER get breast cancer. The point is that the risk is higher, not that abortion positively causes breast cancer all the time, or is the only cause of breast cancer. Why not read the studies for oneself before dismissing it because the conclusions are undesirable?
You don't have to be "religious" to understand the connection between abortion and breast cancer. It is what it is. You can be atheist and understand the connection between these two things.
National Cancer Institute issued a breast cancer research paper in Apr 2009 that clearly stated induced abortion is associated with elevated breast cancer risk. Would you like to see the report? I can send it to you
@sandroeleven I have just sent you a private message with a link to a breast cancer research paper published by National Cancer Institute that states, "...induced abortion is associated with elevated breast cancer risk." Unfortunately, the National Cancer Institute is under tremendous political pressure to conceal the results of their own breast cancer research which is why the their website contains information that contradicts the results of their own breast cancer research.
@sandroeleven You've enabled "friend lock" so my private message bounced back since I'm not on your list. This public forum doesn't allow hyperlinks to be sent. If you're still interested in reviewing the breast cancer research paper by National Cancer Institute that states induced abortion is associated with elevated breast cancer risk, please enable the "friend lock" on your YouTube profile. Otherwise, you can also see this research paper at breastcancerawarenessnews (dot) blogspot (dot)com
@BreastCancerUpdate Woo woo, it's all a conspiracy! Postponing or avoiding childbearing is a risk factor for breast cancer. Whether childbirth is avoided by abstinence or by abortion makes no difference. Sorry to disappoint you -- it's sadly obvious that you relish the idea that women who have had abortions are punished with breast cancer.
@stingingnettles No, I definitely do NOT relish the idea of anybody getting a horrible disease such as breast cancer. My goal is to inform people that there is indeed alot of research linking abortion to elevated breast cancer risk. I believe women should be informed of this research when they are deciding whether or not to abort because all patients have the right to know ALL risk associated with a procedure that are considering. My goal is to save lives not to delight in others misfortune.
@BreastCancerUpdate If you really want to save lives, than you should be encouraging teenage girls to have babies before they turn 20, since that has a SIGNIFICANT impact on their breast cancer risk!! Are you doing that? Or are you encouraging teen girls to be abstinent?
@stingingnettles At What age 10,12 13? Why don't you encourage the young women to get a daddy 1st, Get MARRIED, get an EDUCATION ,get a JOB, PLAN FOR A FAMILY (novel idea) experience life then have kids?
@mediaphotographer You know, you have a good point. Increasing your risk of breast cancer by 50% (as women do when they don't have babies before the age of 20), might be worth it, in order to ensure that children have two parents, mothers are educated and employed, as well as mature. In fact, it might even be worth having an ABORTION if a woman can't offer her potential child a stable home. Thanks for the insights, mediaphotographer!
PROSTATE CANCER IS CAUSED BY ABORTION!! Prostate cancer has been going up since Roe v. Wade. PROSTATE CANCER IS SKYROCKETING!! THE FEDS ARE COVERING IT UP! It is a war on MEN! The feminists want us to be impotent!
Breast cancer rates are highest in countries with the highest induced abortion rates. Breast cancer was infrequent before Roe vs Wade legalized abortion nationwide. Currently, there are about 1.2 million abortions in the U.S per year. By age 45, 42% of American women have had an abortion. Since Roe vs Wade in 1973, breast cancer rates in the U.S. have increased about 40%. Induced abortion cause biological changes to occur in breasts which make women more susceptible to breast cancer.
Actually, don't you think that could also be related to WHAT we're eating? After all, a lot of pesticides have been linked to various forms of cancer. There are multiple instances in which abortion is needed. I have the right to have control over my body and it is rare for a woman to use abortion as a form of birth control. I find it disgusting that these people would label a miscarriage as an abortion. She's going through enough issues, psychologically. Why blame the woman?
There is research linking abortion to breast cancer. For more info, type this into your Google search engine:
1) Coalition on abortion breast cancer
2) Abortion breast cancer
These two above will lead you to websites that discuss in detail the link between having an abortion & the abortion increasing the risk of breast cancer. It seems The National Cancer Institute & American Cancer Society try to discredit the research as the abortion industry is a powerful $500-$800 million a yr business.
Keep your religious bullshit out of the issue. Not everyone are blind sheep. A woman has the right to have control over her body and her future. She shouldn't be tied to an abusive spouse, or be forced to carry through a pregnancy she didn't want. You don't care about women, or the babies after they're born. After all, I bet you're the same kind of person who tries to ban GLBTs from adopting and thus taking out a huge group of people who WANT to raise kids.
@ForcedBirther As a young woman with a family history of not only breast cancer but bowel & pancreatic cancer, I am disgusted by your comments. Are you seriously stating that cancer is God's punishment?
@lynn29uk You just don't want to believe it because you are clearly a sinner and your punishment is on its way!!!!! Ha ha ha!!!!!! Jesus is gonna get you!
@ForcedBirther plenty of people get cancer that haven't had abortions, so I don't believe it because it's rubbish. You're either saying this stuff because you have nothing better to do than to get on youtube & wind people up or you're mad. So, Jesus is gonna get me? I'd rather that than the white coat & rubber wallpaper you're clearly heading for.
Either you are joking - or you are missing the point.
Having a child early in life decreases your risk of breast cancer.
If the people making videos like this were actually worried about breast cancer risk and not simply using breast cancer as a way of making women and girls scared to have an abortion - to be self-consistent they would be advocating that all girls have children as teenagers to protect them from breast cancer risk.
Ok, last I checked, invisible beings can't help you. All of the clothing that the media including the churches want women to wear restrict them from getting away from situations. It opens them up to rape and molestation. Your religion teaches you that you must be obedient toward men, but what about if you're married and don't want sex but he does? Is that ok?
It is pretty low and disgusting to tell lies about breast cancer to try to frighten and punish women for exercising their reproductive rights. SHAME ON YOU
I am an oncology nurse in a Catholic hospital, and I can tell you that plenty of women who are prolife and never had an abortion develop breast cancer, and many die of it. It is terrible to try to use breast cancer as a weapon in your abortion battle. What kind of message does this send to cancer patients? I am disgusted by this shameless manipulation.
You should probably tell them that abstinence is just as dangerous as abortion, when it comes to breast cancer risk. Delayed child-bearing increases estrogen exposure, which is linked with increased risk of breast cancer. So ABSTINENCE KILLS!!
@FannyFlair True, and plenty of people who have never smoked will get lung cancer and die from it. Does that mean we should stop telling people about the risks of lung cancer associated with smoking?
@itsinthenet Of course not. But that's because the risks associated with smoking cigarettes are REAL! Women should be told about the known, proven risk factors for breast cancer. Not the fake ones that are used for disingenuous manipulation .
It is true that if a young person decides to have an abortion instead of bringing her pregnancy to term, it will increase her chances.
This is well-known and not denied. The reasons, however, is because she did not have a child early in life.
Having a child early in life decreases risk. However, studies vary greatly on whether or not abortion itself increases risk. Many of the best studies (large populations, no recall bias) show little or no link.
Pretty much. What really upsets me though, is that you are MUCH more likely to die or be injured due to complications of pregnancy than because of abortion.
This isn't some sort of argument that "elective abortion is great" - it's just the concept that "abortion kills women!" is so incredibly FALSE that I have a very difficult time respecting anyone who would say such things.
It's not only an anti-choice scare tactic - any self-respecting and sincere pro-life advocate should be upset as well.
