  • you're awesome, thanks for this!

  • Wow!!!!! easy and yummy.Thanks.I will make this recipe.

    God Bless,

    Elba

  • If I dont have a Slow Cooker what can I do??

  • @debbiedeepr85 the Sammy Choy method: preheat an oven to 350F. You can wrap the meat in the leaves, then with twine and wrap in foil. Put in a shallow roasting pan with a couple cups of water and roast for about 4 hours. Though this method is shorter, the slow cooker method renders it's own juices and comes out more flavourful.

  • No way...12 hours?! I can't wait that long, J-sensei! FEED ME!!!!! Now!!! :D

  • i have never tried Polynesian food before but i'd be more then willing to try :D. also for the sake is there any specific brand that you need to make this? or does it depend on each person's tastes? if not which one would you recommend?

  • XLNT dish as always Jay! I have a banana leaf in my pantry but I smoked it by mistake and was all twisted up for a couple of days! Love that tender pork!

  • Not sure if you've heard about it or not, but chef from Cookingwithdog has been seriously injured while riding her bike in a Tokyo suburb. Is there anything that the YouTube community can do to help her? Maybe a "get well soon" video would help to lift her spirits?

  • @yokohamaguy75 I think that's a great idea. I just saw the latest CWD video.

  • @yokohamaguy75 How did this happen? :[ That's terrible news!!!

  • Excellent video, man. I am inspired by your demonstration. I went to one luau with my wife in Hawaii during one of my business trips. The hosts cooked a whole pig in the ground as you described and it was great! I've never had anything like it before or since. It had a very unique flavor. I would love to recapture that with your recipe. By the way, I didn't care for the poi but the locals loved it. Thanks again! Oh, your spam musubi rocks, just like I found at gas station on Kauai.

  • This is your best video EVER! Love the recipe, music, camera angles and humor! Easily the best 5 minute of my month. Take care, Susie
