i bet my last dollar that 1:8 system has been sent back on warranty, or replaced.

those castle systems dont last 5 mins.

Tekin are better, but the rotors on thier motors need to improve.

the castle motor is good though

Defo tekin.

I pressurized my LHS, to tell me who gets the most ESC back for warranty and replacement.

They said, 40% of all castle stuff comes back, Tekin on the other hand has 86% success rate, that my friend is a lot better than 60%.

So, all my stuff is tekin, untill something better comes along, Tekin is as good as it gets.

Dude great video. I got the newer model and was so sure I was suppose to get the adapter for the castle link and was like where it at. If you had not had pulled it out in the video I would have been calling the company I bought mine from up and telling them they did not include it. lol

I just ordered my new esc and speed control as well. I have mamba max pro for my slash 4x4, and the most annoying part about programming the esc was having to take off the receiver box to get to the plug comming from the esc....Is there a way to splice into that wire and have a extra dongle that could hang out?

It would be nice to have for quick tuning.

@dsmdeegen well certainly you could work in some sort of Y connector, I am not awary of anything premade like that, but you would just need the wire and a connector, and a little solder if you wanted to try making one...I am not skilled enough to attempt that but Im sure its not impossible

Now that i think about it, mabye i will just have a plug made that connects to the esc wire, and have the hobbyshop sauder me up a link that goes into the case of the receiver, that way i could unplug it via a connector in the middle of the connection.. make sense?

@robertjdm well its going to feel a little different...I actually bought some dirt tires for the summit, and along with the mamba am going to experience some seriousl speed however no real need to upgrade for crawling purposes

@bigmikewhitton depends on what you want- want about the same speed as the brushed? get the Novak 17.5 spec system. want a little more? get the Traxxas Velineon. Want a lot more, get the Castle Sidewinder system. Your wallet is the limit, really. come on over to RCNightmare. com and post your ?'s on the forum. We can get a lot more specific over there.

do you think that the ansmann master smacker 1/10 scale electric kit is a good rc car to start off with im buying a 5.5t ezrun motor combo for the kit and a 2.4GHZ FS GT2 2CH Transmitter and Receiver and a metal servo an a few other stuff like steel gears. what do use think?

Hey, i have a Question.  i have a traxxas rustler. 1/10 scale not gas. and the steering works fine. but when i press the throttle the light on the ESU just is red... it is supposed to be green. Do you know anything about this?

@newbloodsk8r are you using the traxxas radio that came with it? If so, look at the top, there is a switch that moves from 50/50, to neutral, to 70/30. try all three positions, its likely it got moved from when the ESC got set.

shoot me a note if you don't know how to reset the ESC

@newbloodsk8r I had this problem on my Traxxas Slash one thing is check your throttle trim also there is a post on traxxas google you problem should be near the top
