  • It's sad that this was the last film for both George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc, the respective voice actors for George Jetson and Mr. Spacely. They both passed away in 1989, 1 year before the film hit theaters. O'Hanlon died of a stroke on February 11th. Blanc died of heart disease and emphysema 5 months later, on July 10th. Don't feel too sad though, as O'Hanlon was 76 years old and Blanc was 81 years old.

  • I first saw this movie when it was in theaters....it was the first movie where i saw the new Universal 75th logo, and a trailer for the Universal theme park in Florida opening. Great movie I saw with my late nana. Saw it again on VHS, and again in HD on Universal HD (HDnet movies now has the broadcast rights to it).....still ahead of its time in CGI and animation...what was the budget on this movie? I can't find it on wikipedia or google....this movie sadly bombed in theaters but did well on vhs

  • hey i want the movie and i try so many torrent though i didn found THE JETSONS movie plz plz plzzzzz cn any one tel me d site frm wer i cm download the movieee......plzzz

  • When I was young, I used to have a huge crush on Rudy 2, the annoying robot kid in the movie. My mom was glad I was so into him, because she thought Rudy 2 was a better person for a 7-year-old to look up to than Charles Manson. Luckily, I grew out of that phase quickly, and my bedroom walls were soon adorned with hundreds of pictures of ol' Chuck once more.

  • Did anyone else but me notice "The Last Starfighter" main theme music in the background? lol

  • Jane! STOP THIS CRAZY THING!

  • I always thought the Grungees were the Ewoks!

  • I loved this movie, they would show us this at day care

  • Thumbs up you play this video in 2011 (sorry for my english '-' I 'm a brazilian)

  • Man, this movie takes me back. The soundtrack, the characters, the story, everything. :')

  • Is it just me or was Tiffany trying to sound like Pat Benatar?

  • why hasn't there been a live-action Jetsons movie yet?

  • Oh, I LOVED this movie when I was a kid. I watched it all the time.....man, what happened to good animated movies like this? I truly miss those days and wish I could go back again.

  • Mr Jupiter looks like Adolf Hitler. They even scream the same way.

  • There is CGI in THIS film...

  • who is tiifanny???

  • @vikkess a teen singer in the late 1980's biggest song was called "I Think We're Alone Now". not bad, not brilliant. but wrong voice for Judy Jetson. they actually recorded Janet Waldo, the true voice of Judy but discarded her for Tiffany...big mistake

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! i used to have this trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was a fun spin-off of the classic cartoon but the biggest problem was Tiffany was the voice of Judy instead of Janet Waldo, Tiffany still could have done the songs with Janet as Judy. I mean Janet made Judy who she is even in the 80's seasons of Jetsons. I did saw this movie when it came out in theaters 2 times when i was 9.

  • originally slated for a 1989 release

  • @kblixt

Then they moved it to the summer of 1990 instead which came out at the same summer of Ducktales The Movie, did you see this in theaters?

  • Does anybody know the name of the man who narrated this trailer?

  • @VGRetro

Percy Rodriguez who narrated many Sci-fi/horror/fantasy movie trailers since Jaws.

  • When I first saw this trailer at a young age, I remember being scared stiff at the opening of the trailer. The creepy music, the narrator's deep voice, then jumping in sheer fright at George Jetson screaming "Stop this crazy thing!". It all happened like an online screamer, and to this day, that sequence scares the heck out of me.

  • wow they used music from the last star fighter for the trailer.

  • R.I.P George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc.

  • anyone know where i could watch this movie??? i have it on vhs but i dont have a vcr =[

  • Well, at least they both lived to old ages. I believe George was 76 and Mel was 81. And of course, the film was rightly dedicated to both men.

  • Which do you like Better? Mr. Spacely yelling "JETSON!!", or Dave Seville yelling "ALVIN!!"

  • @AaronBruceLadner ROFL!! definitly "JETSON!!!!"

  • @AaronBruceLadner Spacely.

  • Wait what? They made a Jetsons movie?

Why dint I herd about it? Must see it!

  • "This movie is dedicated to the memory of George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc." That was what brought tears to my eyes, especially since it showed up at the start of the end credits when the song "With You All The Way" started.

  • The theme from The Last Starfighter?! Why?!

  • they're making a live action jetsons movie for 2012! cant wait!

  • Maybe it will be as good as the 1st Flintstones film!

  • @yomama5677 i know right!

  • The Jetsons The Movie (1990) - B Good

  • This is AWESOME! I didn't even know thet made a Jetsons movie XD

  • Back when I was little watching this, it was soo futuristic and it still is today. This Jetsons' cartoon has perils, action, comedy, and drama that are more amusing compare to the series. The endding was so warm, it made me cry (only as a child). It still is an amazing movie today. Such memories.

  • Come The Jotsons realy back on TV ??? coooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllll :)

  • In addition to the passing of Mel Blanc and George O'Hanlon (and the infamous Janet Waldo-for-Tiffany switch), Patric Zimmerman had to do Elroy's voice (regular voice actor Daws Butler had died in 1988 and never got to reprise the role for this film).

  • RIP Mel Blanc.

  • woot! new jetsons movie coming 2012!

  • The Jetsons Movie 2

  • @jewifeifei WHAT?! OH MY FUCKING GOD, IM EXCITED! ROCK ON JETSONS!

  • what r the little fluffy things from the movie? i forgot... and the name of the main fluffy thing?

  • theyre called grungies and the main one is squeep! :) i have this on dvd im sad

  • thanks! i absolutely love this movie

  • hey everyone i have some part of this video with ending song check on my channel and see

  • The movie is too good and its exciting to see all the scenes.. i enjoyed a lot watching this movie. To See The Movie Go To BigOnlineMovies . c o m

  • I always hated the fact that Tiffany did the voice of Judy Jetson for this movie instead of the original TV cartoon voice Janet Waldo.

Waldo had recorded the lines but the film makers didn't use them. Tiffany to rerecord them later. This was so that she would sing those songs for the soundtrack and attract a teen audience.

The songs kinda work on thier own but are ridiculously out of place in the movie. Tiffany can sing but she's no voice actor and it really shows. She's just awful!

  • Yea, well at least they let her be in the movie. She had a small part as the Mr. Spacely's secretary.

  • i really dont know why they havent made a live action movie yet

  • Check wikipedia. It's due out in 2012.

  • Indeed. The original series appeared the same year I did, 1962. Now, if you see the trailer guess at which point I went "blechhhhhhhhhhh! Forget this!"? That's right, about 0:53 in ...but who knows may catch someday to see if there were good parts.

  • i used to love this as a kid!

  • LOL yes perfect role for DeVito

  • RIP George O' Hanlon (Geroge Jetson) & Mel Blanc (Mr. Spacely).

  • William H Macy would make a good George

  • I agree Devito will make a good Mr. Spacely who can make a good George Jetson?

  • William H. Macy

  • Another great movie from my childhood.

  • lol!! "Space, the final frontier!!!..."

  • Taken from Annie (1982) 1990 VHS.

  • they're doing a new film in 2011 but they can't find a judy or a Rosie: Think people you can use Monique for Rosie

  • cool i want to see it on dvd

  • i'm suprised no one uploaded this movie yet

  • i got it today how about you?

  • the animation is.... sloppy

  • they made this in 1988/89...OBVIOUSLY it wouldn't be the greatest animation but it looked nice back then.

  • I surprisingly found out that this wasn't released until 1990. It was once scheduled to be released during the 1989 holiday season, but the release date was moved to about a year later in order to avoid competing against The Little Mermaid.

  • that and The Wizard which Universal produced

  • Well I got good news Jetsons The Movie is going to be on dvd on 4/28

  • Great movie, i'm a huge fan of the toon series and enjoyed this movie since i saw it in theaters in 1990 when i was 8 years old. Can't wait for the DVD and of the second season on DVD.

  • I have good news when I checked it daily on dvdempire, there is DVD will be coming on April 28, 2009!

  • This movie will have subtitles English SDH, Espanol, and Francis.

  • Great, here in mexico we have the dvd of the movie in anamorphic widescreen since 2007 and is official from Universal Pictures, but is only on Stereo and has no extras and it doesn't include the english track =(.

  • @vikingscool Why mess with the warm inviting sound of VHS?

  • hmmm apparantly the full movie was on youtube at some point but got removed because of an nbc claim.

  • Wow Nice Movie Trailer.

  • Mel Blanc didn't do this film, because he died a year before the film came out and Daws Butler didn't do this film, because he died two years before the film came out.

  • No, this was actually Mel Blanc's final voiceover work before his death and the movie was dedicated to him, so if this movie were to be remembered for anything it would probably be for that. I'm surprised he could still manage to play Mr. Spacely so close to his death considering all the yelling his character does in the film.

  • So...I guess you could say that THE JETSONS MOVIE KILLED MEL BLANC!!

  • Well at one point in the film Mr. Spacely says this:

"Every second lost means money lost, and money lost means I SCREAM A LOT!!!"

But I think they had someone else fill in for him in some parts after he died, so I don't know. Maybe it was just his time.

  • This was also George O"Hanlon's final voiceover as George Jetson before his death as well. This movie is also dedicated to him. George O'Hanlon played the voice of George Jetson ever since DAY 1 of The Jetsons.

As for Mel Blanc, he said playing Mr. Spacely was always one of his most favorite roles, another one was Yosemite Sam. You can tell because both sound very similiar. Mel Blanc, the man of 1,000 voices. He played most of the toon voices in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

  • I love this movie. I used to watch it a lot when I was at Camp O'Fun. George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc 2 actors who got started in Vaudeville passed away after this movie completed filming. Bill Hanna said "I looked at George and Mel and no words came out of their mouth." "I then knew that they had strokes." They are watching from heaven on how we love this movie

  • I wasn't aware Mel Blanc had a stroke. I heard it was cardiovascular disease.

  • It's so sad that they don't make good cartoon movies like this anymore...everything is all CGI, don't get me wrong..that's cool..but to see that all the time is very tiring..along with shallow storylines.

  • Agreed. I don't mind the CGI stuff,it's just that EVERYONE seems to be doing it for films while the hand-drawn stuff is merely regulated to crappy tv cartoons nowadays. Pixar's the only one with the best stories, sure I've seen SOME good stories nowadays outside them but they're the ones with the truly timeless ones. Also, the hand-drawn stuff was better with heartfelt moments. The CGI is mostly humor-based,which isn't bad but we miss the heart.

  • To me too much CGI in a movie represents laziness and cheapness. Many successful movies were made without CGI and I still don't see why they still can't be. Especially in live-action movies.

  • Animating CGI is quite an effort too you know. It's all down to the animator at this point. It's not the medium but how well executed the medium is.

  • @truepureblue Heh heh, I just saw this movie tonight... this thing is FULL of CGI and it's a terrible, terrible movie. Movies like How To Train Your Dragon and Up are infinitely superior in every way. It's just childhood nostalgia that create the illusion that it was ever better.

Although I loved watching it again. Damn childhood nostalgia!

  • @truepureblue

Not everything is CGI, there is still some 2D, some Stop Motion and Claymation thanks to the success of Coraline and Wallace and Gromit in Curse of the WereRabbit

  • @Johnlindsey289 yeah but they are far in-between tho.

  • @truepureblue That and the CGI designs are not only totally inconsistent with the original character designs, but it's just ... getting very, very old.

  • I'm likewise pleading to ALL!!!

Can any one tell me where i can find a copy of the movie? I have been scouring the internet for weeks now trying to find a copy or may be an original in our city... but it is ... almost non-existent.

I remember watching it when i was a bit younger, i want to watch it again and see if i still feel the same about the movie.

    HELP!!!

  • It comes on the "encore Wam" channel occasionally.

In fact it was just on tonight.

  • is anyone going to upload a copy of the movie?

    please

    please

    please

    please

  • I remember watching this movie all the time when I was little.

  • I wish this film was released to DVD or Blu-Ray, but must be some kind of a copyright problem between Warner Bros. and Universal Studios that's preventing it from releasing the film on DVD or Blu-Ray.

  • Loved this movie when I was a kid...along with the Jetsons Meet the Flintsones!

  • Has anyone heard of a live-action Jetsons movie being released in 2009? I saw a preview, and it looks like Danny Devito will be playing Mr. Spacely.

  • I just looked at imdb, and according to them we have to wait until 2012. Unfortunately, that is the only information that i have due to the regrettable fact that other information has been restricted to imdbpro users only and imdbpro is not free.

  • You never know. Projects like that often have delays. We might notactually see it in theatres till 2020.

  • You read my mind! Danny (Devito) will be brilliant as Spacely.

  • @2009venjix

yeah I could just picture it.

  • I saw this way back when it first came out as a kid - and it had always stuck with me.

Just today I finally bought a copy and was flooded with memories. I had to laugh at how 'retro' it seems now - but for it to be made in 1990 the animation is fantastic!

I especially adored the sound track ;3

  • Even though this movie was utterly horrible

& competely dissapointing, I must admit Mel

and George did give this movie something

worthwhile. The Jetsons will never be the same

    without them. Especially, George O'Hanlon

cause no one else can bring Mr. J to life

    like him.

  • O'Hanlon and Blanc died a year before the movie's release

  • This movie is dedicated to the memory of George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc.

The Jetsons Movie is where George O'Hanlon(voice of George Jetson) and Mel Blanc(voice of Mr. Spacely) did their final roles. Shortly after this movie, George O'Hanlon and Mel Blanc both passed away. George O'Hanlon was always the voice of George Jetson. Mel Blanc was always the voice of Mr. Spacely and many other cartoon characters, because he was known as the man of 1,000 voices.

May they both rest in peace.

  • i did some research and found out that Jeff Bergman filled in for both characters in some of scenes

  • Bergman had to reloop dialogue in some areas and had to voice the characters when new scenes were added. Sometimes new stuff is added in post when the producers feel the movie isn't long enough.

  • @ExplorerDS6789

But they still credited george o hanlon as the voice of george jetson.

  • @pixargod That's because George O'Hanlon recorded all of his dialogue before he died. Some of it had to be rerecorded after the fact.

  • @pytko3

I know, they died in vein but both were brilliant as they went out with a bang on this movie.

  • when i first saw this movie as a kid, i knew nothing about CGI. i was just awestruck!

  • thanks for adding this video!!! It was also posted on myspace's videos site.
