If you look at Woody's face when Andy first takes him out, the right side of his smile isn't quite all the way up. But, you gradually see it start to curl up, especially when he starts being played with.
man, i remember when i was little I played with my car, my transformers toy, and my own woody. After the 90's ended my mom threw out all my toys. I didn't stop her from throwing them away because I was stupid back then. but then soon after realized that I just let my whole childhood get thrown away. Today toys aren't the hot topic for little kids these days, it's all about electronics and talking with friends, which I think limits their imagination and motivation to do incredible things.
i went to see this in the cinema, wasnt surprised to see folk my age there to who grew up with thr franchise who just wanted to see how it all ended, i was in tears was really sad
I'm came to this video to check if I wasn't the only 17 year old guy who couldn't hold back his tears over a boy and his toys. This movie is just a masterpiece.
This is my favorite movie series because Toy Story 1 is the first movie ever watched on a theater . . . and this is also the first movie that I "understand" when I was small . . . now I am 15, turning 16, It's time to say goodbye to Toy Story . . . :'(
People and kids just as I will see this trilogy and endure the emotion of millions of others had and the emotion Woody, Buzz, Andy, and every other toy had. As I look back on the toys that had come and gone in my childhood, I always regret a moment when I didn't appreciate a toy for it failed to meet my wants. This series impacted the way we look at films and defined a new era of animation. Thank you Pixar, for delivering the movie of a lifetime full of life, comedy, sadness, a tearful ending b
As far as I know a lot of you are older than me for I am 13. No I haven't seen the first two movies in theaters but have repeatedly watched them on VCR as a young boy. When I saw this in theaters I too cried but unlike everyone who grew up with the story and characters I cried for it was the end of a tale, end of a legacy, end of series. But I also realized that the impact ANDl legacy isn't over.
This is just one of the the most amazing endings I see. What Iove moat about it is the reaction from Andy in 3:03 , its extremely human life and just shows our emotional nature from the attachments we make in life. In fact, watching this scene makes me feel so warm inside and I will be leaving for collage soon as well and I grew up watchig toy story and to watch this can actually get wuite emotional. :)
goodbye is the hardest word to say. It's ironic, but human only realise how precious things are to them when they say goodbye. So kids, enjoy every little moment in your childhood so that when the time comes and things leave you, you won't find yourself standing there saying ' If only '
@Josh1023cp agree, there is exactly 3 times when I tried not to cry in front of my friends in the theater. This ending is so touchable. I think I'm gonna cry if I were alone in that theater :(
oh man i shed a lot of tears, i was 6 when the first toy story came out. and now i almost 17, and everytime i watch this movie its just like "goodbye my childhood" :'(
@fsnlovers ..Waitamimmu--.. 1995 Toy Story.. you six years old.. 15 years later.. *GAAAASP* Oh you're a lier, you must be near 21 by now with that sorta logic. :3
This movie makes me feel positive. Let's just say that the 51 people who disliked this video disliked it because it invoked too much nostalgia and sadness in them. I love this movie, no words can ever describe that feeling. Each one of us has our own memories that we will cherish forever :')
I think everyone can relate to this. You only have 1 childhood and when its gone its gone :''( When Andy was saying goodbye to his toys he had admitted growing up and so the story must end :( so sad.
I'm 10 years old ever sense I was 3 we had toy story 1 and 2 we watched it every month and watching this made me cry for 5 HOURS! thumbs up if u cried in the movies!!!!!! :D
@kurtsietz Its character development, jhon lasseter proved that with character development and uniqueness we can relate to an inanimate object, Also all of us had some sort of feeling towards toys when we were children. And it talks about growing up etc. I would not expect someone feeble minded like you to understand
I was an absolute mess in the theater. My boyfriend was seriously concerned about me. I just couldn't stop crying. He ended up with this big wet spot on his search because I was bawling so hard into his chest. It's such a happy but sad ending at the same time. I have the dvd but it isn't opened. I don't wanna cry again.
I'm 20 years old, heavy metal fan, and this ending still makes me fucking bawl. I had near all the Toy Story toys as a kid, and went to university around when this film came out. MANLY TEARS. SO MANY MANLY TEARS.
I don;t know about the rest of ya'll, but that little girl is murdering me over here! She is too damn cute and this scene always reminds me of why it is always so hard to say goodbye.....damn, lump in my throat!
I grew up with Toy Story. I cried so badly at the end. This series means so much to me and I think we all feel like Andy at the end of part 3. Thank you Pixar !
I am 15 and have grown up with these movies since they came out.....I have not cried in 3yrs when my grandad died....until I watched the ending to this great warm hearted masterpiece
I am 18. I grew up with the Toy Story movies. Woody, Buzz, Andy-- they were all part of my childhood. Today is the day before I leave for college. I spent it packing everything up, saying goodbye to my friends, and giving my now-bare house one last look. When I turned on the TV today, Toy Story 3 was on and this scene was about to play.
"So long.....Partner." That threw me overboard, I cried then and I'm 15. Growing up sucks.. Well, you got more responsibilities, and you got your mom on your back nagging. I just wanna yell all the time "GET OFF MY BACK WOMAN!" ..But yeah. Thank Pixar Studios.
@thedudeyeah You'll only understand if you had a childhood in the 1990's. If being a pussy means that we're remembering how great out childhood was and how much happiness this movie has brought to our lives and how sad we are when it came to an end, then yeah, we're major pussies. But I guess you just didn't have a childhood that was as good as those who grew up in the 90's... or one at all for that matter.
@TheRitchardgaleHater Because we grew up with Andy and Toy Story. And were all of to college or in college too and we had to grow up and give our child hood away just like Andy. It's a sentimental thing.
i was 3 when toystory 1 came out i was i was 8 when toystory 2 came out i am now 18 and the funny thing is my 3 year old sister asked why i was crying its just a movie. to her it might be a move but to me its my childhood ahah
hey i was 15 when this film came out and i cried because i watched the movies and enjoyed them so much and just to see and driving away i was all teary and i was trying to wipe my face before my dad saw me crying after the film i ran to the restroom to wash my face. saddest and the greatest movie ending ever. (even my 14 year old sis cried because she loves toy story)
I'm a grown man, a movie has never made me cry. I watched this movie today.. and I'm not ashamed to say that this made me cry.. this movie was my childhood, and when he said "They.. They mean a lot to me." for some reason is made me cry, and I tried to stop, I couldn't figure out why I was crying.. I still cant' quite figure it out, but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who was brought to tears by this.
This is for ages 14+..little kids in the movie theathre were just sitting there with no emotion while us adults were basically crying thru out the whole movie,I think I can speak for most of us when I say that this ending was one of the saddest movie endings we have ever seen.
I cried so much when I watched this. I grew up on the first two movies. When I was about 5 or 6 I sometimes just hid outside my room to see if I could hear my toys talking to each other. Now that I'm grown up, I can still see the magic of these movies, and know they will inspire more generations to come. That's kind of what this scene represents to me
I start crying at 3:10. I always do! But 4:40-5:30 is the part that gets me every time. I can't stop crying at the end of this movie, and I'm 14 lol. :)
No matter what, friendship will always be enternal and will never die. They should atleast let him grow up with his toys because I would have :)

If they did make a Toy Story 4, it should be a PREQUEL to the first one.
The following questions would be answered:
How did Woody get to be in Andy's room?
Who was his owner before Andy?
What happened to Andy's father?
How did Woody meet all the other toys before Buzz?
In fact, the movie would end right as Toy Story 1 begins.

Also, there are only a handful of movies that have ever made me cry, and this is one of them.

What the fuck
Why would you give away your toys
This straight up pisses me off, kick that little girl in the neck for trying to grab your Woody doll.

My childhood didn't end when Voldemort died, it ended when Andy gave away his toys...

hey i was 15 when this film came out and i cried because i watched the movies and enjoyed them so much and just to see and driving away i was all teary and i was trying to wipe my face before my dad saw me crying after the film i ran to the restroom to wash my face. saddest and the greatest movie ending ever. (even my 14 year old sis cried because she loves toy story)

also...
the reason why Andy was sad because they will cost mullah when he's old. like in TS2, the toy collector.

That's kind of what this scene represents to me
TheSethman95 6 months ago 6
@ACoe Yea. The older you get, the sadder this movie is. I agree.
@ClassicModernGamer Me too. And the part right after where it shows all of the toys on the deck and Andy says "Thanks guys." Gets me every time.

it doesnt matter how many times i watch this, i cry. No, not cry. Sob, bawl my eyes out!
I think i can speak for many of us when I say we grew up with this series, and it kills us to see it go.
All in all, a masterful ending

watching this and crying again. What a fitting end, especially means something after growing up watching these movies.

I start crying at 3:10. I always do! But 4:40-5:30 is the part that gets me every time. I can't stop crying at the end of this movie, and I'm 14 lol. :)
