It doesn't matter with your power of finger (or thickness). You will realized that just front of your finger has more fat than the side. Use your finger's side born to press fret. That will make bar easier.

If i use the skinner part, the bone will just stop the skinnier parts of my finger from reaching the frets. Anyways, i do have some luck with pressing the side of my finger, ill practice that, sometimes it doesnt work though, very random..

I don't view / hear Sunghas playing as emotionalist. I think it is very emotional. Some have committed on Sunghas lack of facial expressions. I think that comes from intense concentration. I have some OLD flim from the 40s and 50s of classical guitarist performing on stage. They don't show a lot of emotion either. These days we expect people to be jumping around on stage, waving their arms, kicking and such.

Leutchik, if you compare sungha to a machine then you probably take some things for granted. i mean if his music doesnt make all the bad things go away, i dont know what does. sungha needs perseverance to be this good unlike a machine. Besides, hes only 13, so how do u know hes getting closer to being a machine, hes probably working on his emotions when he can. and theres no such thing as emotionless sounds from sungha as you stated.maybe its just ure hearing thats the problem.

Excellent technical presentation. I don't know if it's the *type* of music he plays or just what, but I get the idea that

if a guitar playing robot was built, it would sound a lot like Sung Ha; nearly as emotionless as his guitar and face. It wouldn't occur to you to think that if you watch Tommy Emmanuel, Richard Smith, Doyle Dykes, Pete Huttlinger, or Pat Donohue; monster fingerpickers all.

Maybe it's a Korean thing -the closer to machinelike precision you get, the better they like it.

Fingerstyle guitar doesn't require all 5 fingers to be used to strum. 1,2,3 = thumb and 4 = index 5 = middle 6 = ring finger
