Hyperinflation happens when people lose faith in the currency and they go out and spend it as soon as they make it. Like right now it takes me two weeks to spend my paycheck. With hyperinflation, everyone everyone goes out and spend their paycheck the day they get it. No one saves, they go out and spend their rapidly devaluing currency as soon as they get it and buy stuff that they need or stuff that they can trade for what they need.

I have to disagree, deflation wouldnt work. In the 1930's we had a similar situation as to today except our debt wasnt nearly as high, actually it had a surplus + the feds didnt print money.
But this time... they printed crazy amount of money with a 14.4 trillion dollar national debt, with hundreds of trillion dollars worth of derivatives in debt!
