I cant really listen to much gospel. I just dont really feel comfortable with the usual southern white gospel stuff. I know its all gospel and its all for the same Lord. Hes the SAME everywhere.But for some reason- since I was a little girl- I never felt very close to gospel unless it was Mahalia or the old time black pentecostal stuff.( im not black)Maybe Im just weird. I dont know. But the "country" like stuff never EVERmade me feel better. Never will. And I grew up in a racist southern town.
