Way back when they first announced Emperor as a sequel, the video they released used this song, rather than the stuff Klepacki and the others had been working on for the new game. And FOR GOOD REASON. This song came up in Dune II often, and every time I read the books, this is the stuff that plays in my head. And the first version was written when Klepacki was 18 or so. Amazing.
Those soldiers actualy look like Harkonnen troopers (sort of heavy infantry) from older Dune games. Funny how they weren't included in Dune 2000 even though the intro shows them. Remember them being killed by an explosion? Yeah, apparently those two were the last of their kind...
Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which has electronic music inspired by great musicians such as Frank Klepacki. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!
i remember playing this game ALOT back in the day, frank as a genius when he was making this music its EASILY comparable to the movies they have that movie feel to them, the atreides music really did it felt like it was from the movie
I realise now what I don't like about it. The originals were very sharp and clear, this mp3 version was not MIDI, therefore it suffered from real bad quality. The music is awesome, but the quality isn't. People should ask the original author if he has the original scores.
Hey everybody - I just released my solo album "Mirror Image" that contains electronic upbeat and ambient songs inspired by the music of Frank Klepacki and the Dune video game series. If you're interested you can check out the songs on my youtube page, and links to my myspace page and places to download the full album are on my youtube channel as well :) .
