So, is Bad Breath a tp move? or just a special attack it can cast at any moment. If it isn't a tp move, can a rdm/nin go in and melee with Joyeuse and Genbu shield as well?

@SVTcoolguy It's a TP move, but it's not all that bad as long as you have enough Remedies to deal with it. Could probably melee it with Joyeuse if you felt like it, and just turn your back to it if you need to slow it's TP gain occasionally.

Thanks! I really wanna try this sometime... I just wonder how bad I'll be at it since I dont have endgame gear, and I dont own goli or dusk. if I was able to get that coupled with haste, loq earring, af hat, and swift belt, that I might be okay? Also, would a ceremonial dagger be good, too? *still learning*

Also, I would like to testify that even though the macro book doesnt "load" right away on the PC, you can press the according buttons and it'll work anyways, even if the book doesnt show ;3

In that spot the spiders are not supposed to aggro you.. i would try to solo but i play in pc.. and the macros in the pc are kinda slow.. that would suck lol

I meant that to pull out the macros(CRTL or ALT) it takes a while .. in xbox or ps they are instant...

I play on PC as well, and use a PS2 controller. The macro pages definitely take awhile to pop up using keyboard, but seem to load up just as quickly as they do on console when using the controller.

I soloed her over Christmas using Windower, and to be truthful the macros were pretty instant.

She dropped on Christmas Eve. 1/5

agree , i played Bst on both pc and ps2 and theres and there definitly is a macro slowdown on pc trying to spam charm

Full usu is horrible for soloing as NIN/DNC... EVA gets better the more you stack, so stack it all or don't use any. Macroing in haste for recast timer's isn't that hard.

is RDM the only job that can solo this NM? could a BST or a NIN can? i have a lv60 NPC on "Soothing Healer" if that would increase the chances. i'd really like this ring for my mage jobs since i choose rajas so i dont really have any good rings for mages except for serket ring.

pld/rdm can if they have relic or some crazy ass shield skill gear(up in the 340s).

as far as other jobs, no nin and bst can't solo these, nin + a healer could, but if its a NPC im sure it would die after the 2hour went off, the problem with melee jobs killing it is they take alot of dmg outside of PLD.

damn thats disappointing...i dont even have PLD leveled that high let alone having a relic (only Lv24). i guess theres no point in going there just to die, i'd have to worry about other things besides the NM as well. even with protecting bangles and jelly ring it would probably hit me hard. i believe 2-3 bst's could trio though...would be lame if a rdm can solo it but 3 jobs that are built for solo couldnt lol.

reason its so easy for rdm to solo is because they can dmg it without feeding it tp for sleepga and bad breath, besides its 2hour(spamming remedy on yourself on rdm) VV isn't a hard solo at all.

As far as 3 bst go im sure they could if they were all /whm and brough remedy's and very skilled

yeah thats what avesta does...keeps bio and other enfeebles on it, dies, reraises, repeats the process again until the thing is finally dead. ive heard hes solo'ed dynamis mobs in that same fashion. it's not a bad strategy but man he must lose a TON of exp doing that. ofcourse this is different because no dying is involved but it shows that rdm can do alot and have lots of potential. and as for the 3 bst, i could go as a nin instead and tank it and 1 of the bst can go as a rdm. i'm stumped lol..

yes ive seen him do something similiar to this on the cactaur rapido NM in the desert, it never did 10k needles to him since he wasnt feeding it any TP and wasnt getting hit by it. luckily it doesnt have TP regen or whatever like some NMs and most HNMs do and yeah on dynamis mobs you have to reraise because they are so tough and they will inevitably kill you. -_-

@FEDERALKILLA it does... 2hour wont go off if you fight again and kill within 2hours. Enemy 2hours work just like ours unless its a pop NM like any god or trigger NM. Also a small amount of spawn NMs have no recast on thier 2hours.

Hey Seij; I've seen you around on Cerberus quite a bit. My question to you though, is can't you just convert the spiders in the room into saplings? Or is there some kind of limit to how many of what can be up?

What I've found is that there can potentially be up to 4 spiders in the room. 2 of them will always repop in there while the other 2 can repop in the hallways.

So I'll usually keep killing spiders until just the 2 room pops are left before killing VV's placeholder.

Yeah, if you can fight it with your back against the wall in the NE part of the room, you can avoid spider aggro.

The last time I tried this NM though, it wouldn't let me pull it all the way against the wall for some reason. It stopped like 2 steps from it and just kept using draw in, causing me to wipe to the spiders.

Guessing that one was just bugged or something since this one went fine.
