  • Hi there, to me, in the UK it’s a valve tester I just can’t get around to calling them tubes, but thanks for sharing the tester it looks like a nice bit of old test equipment.

    Kind Regards ... Andy

  • @AndyDaviesByTheSea Hi Andy, Here a VALVE is something that controls the flow of water, gas, oil or any liquid or gas.

It is also what you will find in an gasoline engine.

I sold that Triplett tube tester 2 years ago.

  • Excellent video. I have both the Triplett 1210 and 1210-A they use a 01A tube inside. I have partial sight too so I understand what happened and have done that too in the past. I have the 1210 manual and schematics. Where did you get the 1210-A material from? I love vintage stuff. Your tester is around 1935. Lovely pin stripping on it too.

  • Hi Charlecup, Thanks, I got the tester from an estate sale, I sold this tester last year.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  • I appreciate all your knowledge. I'm a 30 year old tube junky and can't get enough of electronices. I currnetly have TV2 and a Sencore that I use for testing. Oh and you had me laughing on the eye sight thing. Anyway just know that us young guys DO appreciate all the knowledge gained from people like yourself. Good day. :-)
