I have this song too i was born in 1947, thank goodness loool! I have ALLLL of these songs from the 60s! A big collection and they all sound fabulous! 60s rock on!! thabks for putting this video up! Last year you couldnt find it on here!
Great group for the time - wish they would've had more hits. Strangely, this is the 'B' side to their hit, "'We Aint Got Nothin' Yet", although I think I prefer this to their hit. Great guitar and musicianship!
Gotta Get Away - Blues Magoos [Bronx, New York]- 1966 - "GREAT vocals, harmony, beat, drums, guitar." - Psychedelic Lollipop + Electric Comic Book-1999. NOTE: A Bronx-based quintet, denizens of the Greenwich Village club scene; the kind of simple, direct, infectious rock & roll you could imagine five guys from the Bronx making.
Thanks for the post, my favorite of the Magoos, hey, hey , hey , hey (in stereo or not)... The EP version is maybe better than one of the LP, more speed and punchy.
Man I loved these guys!!! Hope they are all well...... Thanks!

My favorite kind of guitar sounds. Nice biting overdrive and melodic.

Which EP is this from? Was it released in the USA? Or is this the B-Side to "We Wain't Got Nothing Yet?"
