Whilst it is true that the 5th season Charlie's Angels storyline plots were generally dopier than previous seasons it still had one thing going for it, TANYA ROBERTS. She couldn't act to save her life but, boy, was she ever easy on the eye!. If she kicked my arse or booted me straight in the goolies it would be a privilege!.

One of the best scene/s from the show. I just love Tanya here in her lovely red shirt and " long " / over the knee length skirt with it's pleats and split !!! Plus her long hair ! I also love Jaclyn Smith's white skirt and her long dark hair too. And also Cheryl Ladd; a pity ( for me ) that they didn't have her long hair down. All the " Angel's " girls were terrific in their way. Thanks for posting; regards.

Ms. Julie Rogers, who are you fooling, you are NOT a "Angel", in my mind your a "wannabee". Check out clips with Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and, Cheryl Ladd, they were the prettiest, and, the one's most noted for their appearances on this series. Rock on...Jill Munroe, Kelly Garrett, and, Kris Munroe!!!! Love all three of ya!!!!

In fact, instead of having her be the sort of street-wise angel replacing Jaclyn's character who had to change to lead angel, she should have replaced Jill's athletic character as she obviously possesses strong athleticism. Kris' goofy rookie character was no more since she was not new anymore so they could have phased her in to being the smart angel if they wanted to. So many possibilities but the main point is that the show declined for reasons other than the angels themselves.

@StevieNicksfann Julie was very scrappy, unaffected and cool. Much more natural than the arched, aristocratic Tiffany. I like them both a lot. They both breathed new life into the series and I don't see the reluctance of a lot of people to accept them as true angels.

Tanya Roberts was clearly a better skilled actress than Shelley Hack. This was not the same show and it's downfall was the show aging, the scripts getting weaker, and the novelty of replacing angels was no longer effective. But if Tanya Roberts was in season 4, it could have easily been a different fortune for the show.

@shellymines69 She didn't replace Kate Jackson - she replaced Shelley Hack, who was fired after one season. I personally liked Hack better of the two, and thought she was unduly fired.

I actually think Julie is very cool and she can kick some ass - If she played Sheena she must be pretty tough.

When she fought the bad guy @ 1:21 she totally dominated him. She bitched slapped him around the room with her bare hands when he was trying use the iron lamp holder against her, then talked trash to further humiliate him before putting through the two way mirror and knocking him cold.

And yeah it would have been super cool if she had just snapped the guys neck at 0:43 !

Funny how as i've gotten older how fake those fight scenes was, but when I was younger I really thought they were kicking some for real ass...LMAO....Gotta love those Angels though.

In reality, Tanya was only involved in two fight scenes...this one and I think the third episode where she and her friend discover drugs while scuba diving. Most of the time, Julie just pulled her gun. Totally agree though that Kelly should have kicked her butt rather than Kris. Would have made more sense since Kelly always kicked people's butt

@snoops71 Me too, I always hoped ABC would've given CA a 6th season-a second one for Tanya but they would've of had to of searched for a new angel as Jaclyn Smith said she would've continued if renewed for a sixth season. I remember seeing these in first run back then except the Seasons 1 & 2-was still in the Philippines until June of 1978

I love the lovely red just over the knee length skirt that Tanya wears with it's splits / slits at the front !!! ( Good for kicking ! Plus red seems to suit her ). Plus also Jaclyn Smith's pink wrap skirt / suit . I really miss the late 70's / early 80's fashions as per this clip where splits / slits were commonplace and in mainstream fashion ( school teachers and tv presenters wore them; etc. ). You don't see this today ( apart from " chinese " dresses ). Regards.

WOW! Victor Newman for Y&R! Classic. Yes, the show was tired by Season 5. They had really had plans to cancel it when Shelley was there, but decided to see how it would do with another new angel and season.

Tanya Roberts in real life is a New Yorker, The Bronx to boot. She looked really tough. They was an edge to teh character that the writers/directors only pursued in the 2-hour movie that introduced the character. After that they softened her character up.. Julie Rogers was a BRAWLER. No doubt.

The show wasn't out of steam The writers weren't trying too hard and Jaclyn Smith was going to quit after season 5 which is why they decided to cancel the series anyway
