  • Dude, there is no such word, and it can't be used in a sentence. Pristine means like unspoiled, beautiful, but you can't use it as an I don't even know what part of speech that is!

  • @briantravelman it's an adverb, it's a word, and you could definitely use it in a sentence.

  • judges? isn't that the name of an obscure italian pasta?

  • rofl i also said pristenelli

  • use it in a sentence "I just won wheel of fortune solving the word pristinely"

  • Pristinelli LOL

  • this was a fail puzzle

  • See, proof Blondes are not stupid :P

  • @smikules

    WTF?

    Are you always thinking Sterotypicly!

  • Lol.

  • this is why you go to school.

  • These three women combine for an IQ of 2

  • FAIL, both of them!

  • "She carried herself pristinely." What an awful use of the word. Can't believe they accepted it. But I guess they thought one embarrassment was enough.

  • man she must have been so embarrassed ... shoot 'im embarrassed for her

  • Uh... can I sic the clip of Samuel L. Jackson from "Pulp Fiction" on the contestant? (The one who said "Pristinelli") XD

  • She just had her em-PHASIS on the wrong sy-LA-ble!

  • THE ALWAYS EXCITING... megaword...

  • Who is Pristinelli? A singer? lol

  • My sentence:

"Tonight on Wheel of Fortune, the megaword solution is 'pristinely'."

  • Pristinelly, what's the difference?! >:(

  • hmm - what if the word was "Tomato" ?

  • @myrtlebox: probably either way would be correct

  • idk what was worse these dumb Megaword puzzles or the breif period on "Scrabble" where contestants had to speel the words ("Mosquito" lmao!)

  • MegaFAIL.

  • 12 people are illiterate

  • This is why Megaword was such a waste of space on the show, lol.

  • Guys, would it not be fair if the solve was automatic after their guesses finish the puzzle?

  • What, a no just cuz she mispronounced it? That sucks!

  • The woman that mispronounced "pristinely" looks like former ABC NEWS anchor Carole Simpson.

  • Ah...auf die Aussprache kommt es an ;)

  • Megaword was a megaflop! They should have refined the rules so that the solver won the $500 bonus ONLY if they used the word properly in a sentence, which happened quite infrequently.

  • Cheezit box at the end FTW!

  • wow, what a crap van theyre giving away

  • Yeah, really common word!

I saw this on Wheel: "Beware the I_es of March"

She said "Beware the Ives of March"

    FAIL!!!

  • To be fair no one uses the word.

  • Presti Nelly, sounds like a person's name.

  • "She carried herself pristinely." WTF. That is not a sentence.

  • It's weird. The lady in the red spot is wearing red, and the lady in the blue spot is wearing blue. I've noticed that happens alot on TPIR, where the contestant is wearing the same color (roughly) as the monitor in front of them.

  • the second one is like thanks for doin all the work bitch

  • wow i've seen people unable to solve words and phrases missing one letter, but now with all the letters in too????

    HAHAHAHA!!!!

I guess, if you say you're from singapore and you pronounce things weirdly you can argue it lol.

  • lawl fail

  • Well the definition of Pristinely is pure, uncorrupted by society or civilization. Like a lake or something way up in the mountains that pollution and people can't regularly get to to destroy it or make it dirty. I do laugh at the first woman haha

  • this should definally be on fail blog lol

  • Would the Inane Clown Posse call that a miracle?

  • FAIL

  • Pristaneely lolololololololol

  • whut?

  • ROTFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OUCH.

  • Fork! I pronounced that in my head and got it wrong!

  • that was a really lame bonus question. Use it in a sentence?

  • thats the dumbest word ever

  • lmfao! lolol

  • DAMN! "She carried herself pristinely." Are you kidding me? This is pristinely why I don't watch the show.

  • must be the newspeak I keep hearing about.

  • 1984 lol

  • @theSnakeJakeRoberts

Mr. Jake the Snake Roberts, I agree. They have no clue what pristinely means, do they? But I have to disagree with you on the fact that you don't watch this show. You're watching this video, aren't you?

  • @mmetris Shut the fuck up you inbred shit.

  • Really ?

  • pristenelly lol

  • Reading fail followed by comprehension fail. Proof positive that the fault with the public education system has been going on for years.

I feel the need to throw a dictionary in the shredder and clean the machine afterwards until it shines pristinely.

  • @axenome

How do you know she didn't attend an exclusive private school? I've know some knuckleheads who went to fancy schools.

  • haha well played sir, well played.

  • wtf??? she solved the word! thats not right...

  • You can actually hear someone in the audience laugh.

    lol. Public school fail.

  • I've actually seen several other times where the puzzle was totally filled in but they mispronounced it (one was FRANCIS FORD AND SOFIA COPPOLA).

Either way, Megaword was a mega mistake.

  • I always tell friends about "Francis Ford and Sofia Co-POE-Lah."

Do you know if anyone uploaded that to YouTube?

  • @bellcurve No one that I've seen. I have that episode on tape, but I don't have a video capture card.

  • @TenPoundHammer Upload it when you get that card. I remember Pat(maybe it was editing after lots of deliberation) was like, "Eh...no."

And that chick had like a trip or two and lots of cash in her bank too. I bet she was pissed.

  • @SoapGeek Compare DESE DEM AND DOES GUYS. Contestant says the first word like "Desi". Pat asks for a verdict. Nancy has him say it again, with the same mispronunciation, and Pat says "Listen, he's got all the letters up, I'm taking it." At least that puzzle was excusable since it was, as Pat put it, a "crummy puzzle".

  • @TenPoundHammer I'm glad Pat stood up for the contestant. That must have been from an older episode, because all he seems to do nowadays is berate the contestants and cut them dirty looks.

And yea, that's a terrible puzzle.

  • @SoapGeek It was from October 1989. And I did see him give a second chance at least twice — one time with THICK PLUSH BEACH TOWELS, the contestant said "Thick plus beach towels" then re-solved properly, and Pat said they'd take it because it was a tongue twister. The other was CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG; the contestant left out BIG, stopped at "do", then backtracked and re-solved properly. Also, I mistyped; it was "DOSE GUYS" not "DOES".

  • who else noticed tht piece o' shit van

  • yeah, I never cared for that van, either!

  • ...I would not have accepted that answer.

"The house was pristinely clean" would have been acceptable to me. It's bad enough when the contestants are stupid, but when the producers just don't want to deal with them...UGH.

  • FAIL

  • "ummm, pristinelly?"

  • public school fail

  • BS that they have to pronounce it.

  • Wheel of Fortune has never exactly used strange and unknown words.

If you've read anything at all, you should be able to pronounce the words.

  • "What is our producer doing?"

    Probably laughing her head off.

  • Man i woulda been like WTF!? i just solve this thing lol

  • I would be so pissed off. lol.

  • pristinelly?

  • total fail!!!!!

  • haha, the host sounds like he thinks this whole thing is ridiculous.

  • lol pristeneely

  • FAIL!!!1!!

  • lolololololollololololol epiiic fail

  • FAIL!!!!

  • I honestly though it was pristenelly... lol.

  • lols

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMFG

  • I may be alone here when I say I can honestly see how she did that. When the end reads "nely", it's possible for your perception to set itself to "nelly". If she'd uncovered "pristine" and only the "ly" remained, then yeah, she'd be a dumbass. But all that happened was that she got tunnel vision from focussing on the game.

  • Yeah but come on, pristen-ely doesn't even sound right. Happy to say I would have got this right.

  • OMGG

    WOW

    SO SADD!!

  • Woman in red = FAIL!

BTW what happened to Pat Sajak's hair? He had that weatherman cut all those years; now he looks like he got raped by a flobee

  • Wow ... this is an oldie o.O

  • Seriously who could be that dumb to get this wrong when all of the letters are up there. Probably the best WOF fail video I've seen.

  • "PRISTENELLY?"

"What is our producer doing? Shaking her head."

    LMFAO

  • AWW man! That's something I would do! For a moment there, I thought she was right.

  • Buy an i.... I WIN!! (Now say the word)

  • Good grief...

  • WOW

  • "All you have to do is say the word"

    hahahahaha

  • FAIL

  • lol

    failed hard

  • Uhm, the one in the yellow is my mom no joke. She is a huge nerd. Her Name is Ina Nozek and her DAUGHTER (ME) is ARielle nozek. she is married to glenn nozek and along with me trhere are 2 other boys, jake and max.

  • I bet she wanted to beat the shit out of the chick in the yellow after that...

  • fail

  • i would have said the same thing

  • Me too! lol...

  • Then your school system has failed you.

  • hell

  • lmfao, pristinelly

  • Let me get this straight. She knew how to spell it, and not how to say it?

  • you're pretty smart for figuring that out.

  • dam....thats.... kinda stoopid, no offence

  • And she got on wheel of fortune how?

  • "pris-tin-nelly"

    my god. really?

  • how do you spell prestienley??? thats one word i cant spell lol sorry (here comes the meaness)

  • aww, fail.

  • Even the host was like, "This bitch is stupid... wait... the producer is nodding? 'You're actually nodding at this fucking answer?' Well fuck, she's nodding. Enjoy the 200 dollars for being a dumbfuck... I gotta get out of this country'"

  • What are they teaching today's kids?

  • Today's kids??? I'm a high school student, and while i admit i'm no the smartest out there i would like to point out that this was an older clip of WoF so I am afraid to say that it but i think we should ask what your generation that was taught :D

  • This chick was at least 30 and there's no telling how old the clip itself is, so i'm thinking its not today's kids you should be talking about.

  • stupidity trickles down the generations, my friend.

  • PRISTI-NELLY??

  • I hear he's the hot new R&B act.

  • ???

  • It was a lame joke about an imaginary recording artist.

  • Why don't they have these kinds of puzzles today?

  • Parts of speech must escape this crowd.

Pristinely is not hard to use in a sentence.

"The family's house was pristinely kept."

  • Poor Condoleezza!

  • Hard to use in a sentence?

"The car was pristinely preserved, so I bought it on sight."

  • LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Same i would know how to use Pristine in a sentence, but pristinely, no clue. It isn't even the Firefox spell check vocabulary.

  • Comment removed

  • i herd the person who said it wrong died

  • Comment removed

  • yeah and you're not selected. fucking idiot can't even spell natural

  • I love her glasses at :45

  • OWNED

  • PristiNELLY! OMG TERRIBLE!!!

  • either way, whether they let her have the word or not by mispronouncing it... she would have only gotten $200... cuz like hell she would have used it correctly in a sentence.

  • what's worse is the lady that failed to put it into a sentence and then got credit for it

  • that's stupid

  • that's not fair, who cares if she pronounced it properly! she got the word, she should have won

  • *if she didn't pronounce it properly

  • But she didn't get the word, that kind of mispronunciation was pretty indicative that she didn't know the word. She got the spelling probably because she might have seen the word before but it didn't seem that she understood it.

I guess those are the official Wheel of Fortune Rules, it's just a situation that you normally don't see.

    Either way it's pretty pathetic.

  • jesus...

  • A "Document" wedge on the Wheel. Wonder what you'd get if you landed on that?

its more shes a full grown adult that cant even pronouce it.

  • what a dumbass "prist-uh-nelly", I laughed soo hard, I'm 14 and I know how to pronounce that.

  • lol it's not really something to brag about.

i'd be worried if a 14 year old couldn't put that together.

  • pretty sure he was just stating rather than bragging

  • more or less.

  • Pat almost slipped up and said "you're actually gonna accept that?". I said to myself wtf as well.
