@paednoch i have hearing aids, and bad hearing (obvs) lol and is mild to moderate, i have speech prblems because of it, ther fore i am stating that everyone is diffrent and whether or not you "should" have speech problems is stupid

@TLCgirl123 i am 12 too! and i have hearing aids. Ive had them since i was two and i get how you feel, i felt so left out and was afraid to wear my hair in a ponytail . I still dont wear my hair in a ponytail, i dont know why, your comment helped me though

I've needed hearing aids since I was 7, had them prescribed to me at 13 and started actually getting my head in gear and wearing them about a year ago, so now I have about 25 years of lost sounds to catch up. Feeling really isolated with the quality of expertise on my rare type of hearing loss, audiologists obsessed with what is "discreet" and tiny instead of something I can hold in my dodgy arthritic hands (yes already!) and which is bold and pretty and COOL! Not beige.

I wear hearing aids also. Although i dont wear them much, i dont really like wearing them for many reasons. I might be getting new hearing aids soon because my hearing has got worse :)

im 11 and i wear hearing aids too in both ears. and the last time iv them to the ear doctor he said i was getting 2% better hearing and thats better that nothing and he also said the technoagy have come this far and in the future the will be a surgery for it and i want that surgery lol and it dont bother me neither =)  some kids make fun of me of it but i daont mind it because its who i am and im proud of it.

Good job, I have a moderate to severe hearing loss since birth. I had to work hard in my hearing loss and speech. I used wear analog hearing aids for 30 years and now I wear digital hearing aids. It helps me a lot with my speech.

You did a good job. I am hard of hearing too since birth. My hearing got worst when i got older too. I have both ears are moderate to severe. My right ear is weak to hear than my left. I used to wear analog hearing aids for 30 years. Now, I wear digital hearing aids. My speech has improve a lot better in my word test from digital hearing aids. I am thinking to get Phonak Naida blue hearing aids next. Good job!

You did a good job with this video. I am hard of hearing person too since birth. I have both ears moderate to severe. My right ear is weak than my left and both are close to severe. I had to go speech therapy when I was young. I used to wear analog hearing aids for 30 years. I wear digital hearing aids now and it had been helping my speech and hear things clear than before.

i wear hearing aids and i have a few suggetions i am 14 yrs old and i wear a hearing aid in the right ear and when i run the wind is all i hear and one that is durable against loud noises like drums

I recently lost my hearing I am 90% deaf in my left ear and 80% deaf in my right ear. I like your video those are some cool hearing aids. I had my molds made last week cant wait for them to get maid

i suffer from a ruptured ear drum in my right ear and i have a slight-mild hearing loss. not sure about how many decibles it is but my ent says that my hearing is not bad enough to where i need a hearing aid. but over the years my hearing has gotten a little worse due to the ruptured ear drum. sooner or later i might have to get a hearing aid

I heard many people saying that they had bad experence with hearing aids and they don't benifit from them.

yes they can help and depends on the hearing loss you have and  it can't make you hear 100 %. ever.

when you turn it on about half way it beeps? is that just to inform you its on or to inform you its half way i guess the button is to cutoff noise when your on the phone it whirrs i think its called telecoil

It is normal and i was never made fun of because i wear hearing aids. Make sure you get a warranty on the hearing aids in case of stolen or lost.I asked my mom something i should say to you.Are you going to get the color hearing aids? I think color hearing aids are so cool.

don't worry hearing aids are cosmetic and you won't be made fun of.

I got my first hearing aid at age 16 and people just know me with wearing hearing aids.

Jennifer, you are fantastic! I know it's tough. I've gone through just about every hearing aid there is. I lost about half my hearing. So I don't belong to the hearing community. And I don't belong to the deaf community. It doesn't matter how much hearing you've lost, once you have those hearing aids you're part of a select group. And my ears stink when I leave them in to long. All the best, Jeff

I am HH too. I found out in college when my lecture notes didn't match my friends for the same class! I struggled so much to hear that by the end of the day I was exhausted from the effort. I became more isolated as I just couldn't hear others in the cafeteria or coffee house. When I first got my hearing aids, I was STUNNED how much I had missed. It explained a great deal about the strange looks people gave me.
