  • And then everyone dies in an IED blast because it's not as blastproof as the MRAP vehicles.

  • @Dominik520520 Bullshit the Dingo has a exellent IED secure in his class. The MRAP weigh between 19 and 40 tons. The Dingo has only 12,5 t!! The MRAP is blastproff to 15 kg TNT . The Dingo only to 5 kg TNT .But in combat 3. Juni 2005 he took a 6kg tnt the crew survived with light injury . At 27. März 2008 the dingo took a 10 kg IED 2 soldiers take heavy insuraqnce and in soldier light insurance but everybody survived . And that ia a exellent IED security in his class .

  • Vojáci tomuto vozidlu říkají "Zasraný Barták" ..vědí proč

  • @shindoso WOW ITS RUN DOWN AMERICA,SO U HAVE A CHOICE TO PICK WHAT YOUR PEOPLE WANTS,THANKS GREAT, FREEDOM IS PRETTY COOL,WAS'NT THIS COUNTRY CALLED USSR A FEW YRS AGO? AND WHY IS IT FREE TO PICK WHAT YOU WANT? DO U THINK IF THE GERMAN WON WW2 YOU WOULD BE GERMAN NOW,AND NOT RUSSIAN, SO LETS RUN AMERICA DOWN FOR THIS AND THAT, IT'S PRETTY LAME YOUR SO-CALLED FRIENDS RUN U DOWN, NO THANKS NEEDED WE ARE USE IT.BESIDE WE HAVE A MACHINE CALLED "OSHKOSH MRAP M-ATV,THE HUMVEE IS OVER 20YR OLD.

  • @hotrod4you2

No few years ago it was called Czechoslovakia you dumb fuck.

  • We use the Dingo 2 as well in our military (Belgium). It has served us well in Afghanistan till now. The infantry is a lot safer inside this vehicle then in a humvee. That's a simple fact :)

US military is already looking for a successor of their Humvee, as it's now deployed in situations it wasn't designed for, sadly they haven't found a worthy alternative until now. Maybe they should look at the German vehicles, since their Leopard 2 tanks beats the US M1 Abrams as well.

  • @shindoso

From what i head czech soldiers are not satisfied with dingo at all.

  • @MrLormes

Panacku ty nemas ani sajn o tom co rikas. MG 42 by i dneska strcil do kapsy jakykoliv podobny kulomet zavedeny v armadach NATO o nasi UK59 ani nemluve...

  • leave it to the deutsch to be ahead of everyone else in technology, especailly when it comes to weaponry!

  • 12 tons on 4 wheels for Afghanistan? not good

  • put a 50cal on there

  • You can't go too wrong with a unimog chassis,,hope it saves some lives.

  • I hope they produce their own dingo equivallent based on tatra.

Kind of like IMI Wildcat (Which too is based on tatra)

  • Who needs a Humvee when your have german technology next door...

  • @schenkel123 DIngo is so underpowered that they had to abandon them and nowadays they are speeding to buy Iveco's...

  • Depends on what you are going to do with it. It's a heavy machine, based on the UniMog... the four Dingo 2A2 Czechia ordered came with 4,8l / 163kW / 220PS engine, top speed fully loaded with 12,5t is 89km/h on the street...

  • @schenkel123 The problem was with accleration. Actually it was US Army who made it clear that these cannot be used in convoys - they couldn't keep up.

  • @cimmerianpraetor IVECO's... there is some smart ass bussines involved. Our army gets them from some reseller, for over over three times (3,3 i think) more price than IVECO sells them...

  • @DudeNumberOnePlus Its the same story with anything that CZ Army buys - the APC from Austria were also for double price. Some people should definitely serve time in prison for that but nevertheless most important thing is, that the vehicle serves its purpose - and unfortunately Dingos were such a disapointment that Army had to quickly buy a replacement.

  • @cimmerianpraetor you idiot they have ordered 16 more^^

  • @95predator You are right, German lobbyists can do their job very well. That doesn't change anything on fact that these had to be withdrawn from areas with hilly terrain as well as from joint operations with US Army, because US Army considered them so slow that it would pose danger to the convoys. Other problems were with fuels - the engine is sensitive (comparable to other military engines) and there were many problems with that. It ain't have enough power - trucks we use have 320kW/15tons.

  • @cimmerianpraetor dude its a mine protected vehicle high above the ground it isnt designed as jeep its a mine protected personal carrier.

  • @95predator sure, I am aware of that, and that is also reason why 160kW which would be otherwise sufficient, is in this case simply not enough. I am not saying that it is a bad car only that it is not suitable for the job. It would be probably OK to roll through Poland where there are no mountains, but in Afghanistan it is different story. The soldiers literally reported that they were not able to drive uphill on a road with rest of convoy!!! It might be fine to patrol town though.

  • of course you're right, best german technology

  • @schenkel123

considering that this car a a shit i rather have humvee

  • @janak19771977 the humvee is an outdated piece of scrap metal. it is still built upon a 30 year old frame, design and specs. the dingo beats it by far.

you can make as many modifications as you want, but at a certain point it is easyer to make a new design. while the humvee is iconic and affordable but it is still antique.the germans make good vehicals. just look at the Grizzly, it can outrace the hummve while carrying a humvee on top and is still far better armoured.

  • @evilblades yeach right

dingo is slow and the only reason that we brought it was because we got bribed again

there are better and cheaper options outhere unfortunatly bribes and the fact germans have leverage on us got us stuck with this crap vehicle

  • @janak19771977 the dingo had a superior armor and is IED ressistant, whereas the humvee needs to be specially modified to ressist improvised explosive devices.

it is about 20km/h slower yes, the dingo is equipted with periscope and or remotecontrolled heavy machinegun, meaning whereas the gunnor on the humvee have to actually stand with half the body over the roof, the dingo gunner stays safely inside the transport.

the humvee is terrible at urban warfare and any attacks from above.

  • @janak19771977 that's strange with the us soldiers i talked they rather have the Dingo 2 than the humvee

  • Prý to má slabý motor a Amíci odmítli s našima v Afghanistanu jezdit, když to nevyjelo nějakej kopec.

  • jedno z nich mi stálo před barákem ve Strakách.
