  • Okay, it's the next day after viewing your tutorial... I looked but couldn't find a way to have linkability on each of the images. Either the whole image, or preferably, a hot spot on each image. Each link going to a different url. Do you have any plans on making a tute for that? Just wondering... Thanks!!

  • Thanks very much for a great tute. Oh, how I envy your ease with code... I put together a similar series and it looks great. Now to find a tute on adding a link to each image.

  • Thanks man...that was the best. I went through 6 other tuts before finding this one...really appreciate your help!

  • Thank u so much!! This video helped me a lot!

  • It's cool to hear the rain trickling in the background..

  • Hey Adam i have sent u a Video response, its very similar to this one ...approving it may help many people siting out there and watching these tutorials. I request you to kindly accept the "video response "

  • Thank you. Your tutorial helped me a lot for my project. You are indeed a gifted person. Keep up the good work..!

  • this technique doesn't look so clean and smoth the transition as to convert the simbol instead of Movie clip do it as graphic

  • Sir, in this video tutorial, is it possible to add this image slideshow with a back and next buttons? Please help me with this one since I need this for my school project :/

  • Adam,

This is a great transitional photo gallery, It's much better than the other ones I have seen. I really liked the mouseover event coding you did to stop the gallery when someone mouses over the image. Thanks again.

  • Man...what IF WE DONT HAVE FIREWORKS?...download it?..nah,cpu dont have much space another ...HOW CAN I DO THAT WITHOUT FIREWORKs?...thnx

  • Thank you so much, I watched 30 of these on here and you are the only one that could get me from beginning to end successfully!!

  • I don't have much experience with coding in general, but, correct me if I'm wrong shouldn't the "addEventListener" be before the function in the lines of code?

I'm making this point because it's a similar principle to declaring variable in Visual Basic.

  • i dont know what you clicked next. at 11:30 mins please show it

  • you take waaaaaaayyyyyy tooooooooooooo loooooooooooong to get to the point....i understand you need to explain things....but MY GOD.

  • 13:41- What does render out mean?

14:11- How do you get that workspace arrangement?

14:47- How did you get all of your layers to show up on one layer and then jump back into it to see all of the layers expanded?

Basicially I'm confused because I don't know how to put a layer on top of a scene

I'm using CS4 so maybe that has something to do with it.

  • @imsannr Render out means he's going to test his movie

The workspace is drag and drop customizable.

I don't fully understand what your saying, but I think the answer would be that he converted an image into a symbol, which means that when you double click that symbol there is a whole new timeline inside of it (that's what he meant by "container"). When you click back to the main scene, all the contained layers collapse back into the symbol and you see the main workspaces layers.

  • nice tutorial, but how can i make hyperlink on each of the image?

  • awsome

  • can i import the images with photoshop instead of fireworks??

  • @magmiss You can import by simply clicking File > Import Image, you don't need to copy and paste from another program

  • VERY NICE

  • this tut rock!!!

  • I am trying to do this in CS5 but adding the second image and changing the alpha got me all screwed up & wont work! I got the first image to fade out but can not get the second image to fade in? Do you know how to do this in cs5? I really need help with this!! Thank you!!!

  • @asiseeit1021 """

I had the same problem, use the classic tween not motion tween!

  • Thank you sooooo much this has been super helpful and the only tutorial that i could find to help me with my particular problem....

You're a star!!! and my hero!!!

  • thanks! great work!

  • thanks man

  • This is nice and simple. Have you done any tutorials on drop down menu?

  • Where do you go to do Fireworks? I couldn't see, because your mouse disappeared, and I couldn't see what you clicked on. I'm extremely new to Flash, and I have CS4.

  • @oneangrysoldier Fireworks is an entirely different program. however, they are both part of the creative suite software from adobe, so they can inter-mingle

  • If you can do this with Action Script 2.0 that would be great. I got it all down except for the action script because I have Flash 8 and Action script 1.0 or 2.0 and cannot use 3.0 and I don't know how to make your code in 2.0. Can you post the code for older actionscripts?

  • Can you the exact same thing in Photoshop CS2?

  • great video and tutorial

  • I need a video to describe on how to link an image on adobe flash, with ActionScript.

  • ALPHA choose is only available for a few seconds then disappears and is is not available. Images do not fade.

  • Thank you so much! I just have two questions... Is it possible to make each image link to a different page? And is it possible to make separate pieces of each image link to different pages?

    Thank you!!!

  • Thanks a lot mate. U R my hero...

  • Very simple tutorial. Thanks!

  • Everything is working fine except for the script with the mouse over.. could u help me please? appreciate it, thanks before han
