  • @smush48 or keep the change :)

  • Love this scene! Snoop's an excellent character. It'd be great to see a Snoop vs. Boomhauer mashup video.

  • more bodies, more savings, thats the power of the home depot

  • "He say this right here is the Cadillac, he mean Lexus but he ain't know it."

  • omg this scene here is what made me watch the show i though snoop was a hot guy..but later found out she was a girl..love the show though

  • @IMME01234567 heh nothing wrong being lesbian...

  • "sheit i seen a tiny ass 22 round nose drop a nigga plenty of days maan. muhfuckas get maan you like a pinball. whip yo ass up. Big joints tho? Big joints maan, just break a bone ya say fuck it.......ima go with this right here man. how much i owe you?"

  • Malik Jubal-From this first moment that I listened to Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, I fell in love with the character! I knew she would be great on this show just from this scene. Watch how she looks at the salesman as she listens, how very natural she talks with him. No acting here!!!!!! Felicia "Snoop" Pearson is a raw actress, and life was her acting coach. She is Jada Pinkett and Rosie Perez in one! She will do great things! Malik Jubal

  • both top comments got the quote wrong

  • snoop think he talkin about guns n "contracting" "We work all over " classic

  • I don´t get it. Every season-opening is supposed to talk about the themes of the season. What were the themes in this scene?

  • @aguyyaknow The police focused on the vacant houses which tied into the nail gun. And when Snoop says to Chris "I've been schooled dog," that ties into the school storyline.

  • @ajbahus

Sorry, but that just seems a bit too theme-less for The Wire. Was the theme.... improper schooling? People being taught the wrong things?

  • @aguyyaknow the theme is that people are going to learn. The question is what and from who. In this scene Snoop's getting schooled on nail guns, she even says 'you laughing, I've been schooled dog'. After she describes the nail gun to Chris. It demonstrates the two different worlds that she and the shop guy live in. From the way they talk, to the way they handle money transactions. It's related to the theme, but it's subtle.

  • I have a cousin that's pretty much just like snoop minus the cold blooded killer part hopefully lol. The look on face from 1:38 to 1:45 is priceless though.

  • HILITI'S are the best

  • Sad thing is this is what negro teenagers aspire to be like.

  • Is that a boy or girl? If its a girl I owe my friend $10

  • @MysticDMBherb better start payin up thats a girl

  • @SLJJERK22 Arguable

  • How did the old nail gun ran out of power when they only shot 6 nails for each kill, 5 times a month...?

  • @SyntaxxErrorr they aint killin fools with it. just sealing up vacants

  • @PieandBiscuits

yes... thats what i meant... 6 nail for each time sealing up after a kill

  • @SyntaxxErrorr oh yea misread that.. because they leave it in the car I guess idk, pretty unrealistic now that you bring it up

  • this is like the only scene when chris isnt wearing a dickies shirt

  • So fucking good.

  • 1 person didn't earn that bump like a motherfucker

  • Scariest little girl since The Ring.

  • @Zackhanscom.. You do realise it's a fictional drama, and these people are actors, right?! What a fuckwit

  • as bad and evil chris and snoop were i came to love them!

  • Miss this show so much...

  • Snoop <3

  • "Nail-throwing mayhem" lmao!

  • This bitch is stupid, she just stands out. Law enforcement looks for everything. Think if McNultty decided to go aroung looking at surveillance video,or asking if a specific person was in the store. She is walking out with the tool, not paying at the register.

  • @thecj29 There's nothing illegal about what she's doing and the police would have no incentive to look at security tapes. :/

They even caught Snoop and Chris with the nailgun in their car but they let them go. You're overthinking things.

  • @acountddd It still stands out, thats all Im saying. Nothing illegal definately, just stands out

  • @thecj29

Frankly if you're in a business which generates it's income via standing out on a corner selling drugs plain as day and you are known publicly as the muscle for the head of that business the least of your concerns will be buying a nail gun.

  • @MrWarrenLO Stringer Bell or Proposition Joe would say the same thing I said.

  • @thecj29

That's the thing about her. Does she give a shit? Nope...

  • hahahah "but this is 800 dollars?"

  • holy carp! i've never see The Wire and only saw this because of the news about her recent arrest and someone said this scene was stunning. holy carp!

  • @mondovila Me too. I was curious, but now I feel sick. Hey but if you support gay rights... and thuggery, criminality... TV shows like this glorify criminality and thuggery, those in nice homes can view the ugly side of America and those that are in those neighborhoods see these things as acceptance and inspiration of exactly this kind of criminal life. HBO and all those chump cowardly geeks love to sit around in conference rooms and type stories up on their Macbooks about this shit. Nice.

  • @wendileona actually much like the corner and homicide most of these stories come from actual cops who worked the streets and drug dealers. If you actually watch the show (or all 3 series are was intended) you'll see it FAR from glorifies it. It should sicken anyone even thinking of the life. You have several seasons of each series to watch but you'll only need one to see that...

  • @wendileona u cant possibly be that dumb

  • @kurohige1338 Do you have gang bangers in Germany? Would you like some...? Maybe I can set up a migration program for you. Would you like that?

  • @wendileona wow, you can. be that dumb, i mean.

  • @wendileona If you watch this show and think "I want to be like these people" I have to say that you're one fucked up individual.

  • @rofljao Not me. I don't admire this but you'd be surprised just how many people actually DO. Thats the problem that the glorification of this on TV, movies, popular music does.

  • @wendileona what the hell are you trying to say?

  • LOL. yeah the cordless would do that.

  • each season intro represents somthing this is the only one i could never figure anyone care to help me?

  • @Chriseycarlyeah324 To me it represents the saying, "Out with the old, & in with the new" Season 4 was like a new start, with the Barksdale boys all locked up or dead, McNulty now a street cop & Marlo running everything in the city. Snoop buying an upgraded nail gun simply symbolized a new generation & system

  • @KrazySexciKel To me this is what the writers are trying to say. S4 is about education. ed burns said that kids r gonna learn, just where. They wont listen to a teacher, or study bout history. it doesnt speak to their world. Snoop is a gangster, she went to school im sure. thats y they showed her sister was in school. this saleperson is schooling her. he spoke to her world. And she soaked up every word. To show that she learned she broke it back down to chris. See: Education

  • @Chriseycarlyeah324 I think I remember hearing David Simon, on the DVD commentary, explaining that this scene ties in with the overall theme of education in Season 4. I believe he said the idea is that kids are going to get an education one way or another. If the school system fails them, something else steps in to "school" them. So in this scene we see Snoop getting a crash course in the physics and mechanics of nail guns.

  • @Chriseycarlyeah324 I always linked it to Bunny saying "They're not learning for our world. They're learning for theirs". The man tells her about the nail gun, thinking that she will take the knowledge he has given her and use it for something legal, but she's actually applying this knowledge to covering up murders.

  • Look at the man's face as he is fumbling over her words trying to comprehend what she is saying. Its priceless...LOL.

  • it's hard to explain to someone that a scene involving someone buying a nail gun from a regular store guy is one of the best scenes in television history.

  • @pedriano999 You are right on! Soo right!

  • @pedriano999 because it isn;t one of the best scenes in television history

  • @pedriano999 You'er overreaching. This scene is not one of the best in history by a mile.

  • @ShirtlessLocke 25 thumbs-uppers beg to differ. :)

  • @WildWestSamurai 25 people must enjoy being wrong, if you can't see why then I'm not even sure how you've managed to watch this show.

  • "nah, we had about five jobs last month"

  • This scene made me do some thinking. The cops are searching for board-ups with a certain kind of nail...but she was using a Dewalt for awhile, and Chris threw this new one in the river...so how do the cops match it all up?

  • @WiseGuy5674 It's because the city of Baltimore uses drill and screws to board up vacants and not nails and nailguns. I'm guessing the "five jobs last month" were never found because they used the DeWalt and not the Hiltt. Lester figured that out in the last scene of S-4 Ep-11 and explains it to Landsman the next episode after the opening credits.

  • @amayagab ...Herc had the Nail gun in his hand and fired into the ground near Snoop's feet (different location when he shows McNultey and Greggs), they toss the thing in the river, along with 2 gats...Did they go out and buy another Hiltt to continue boarding up? Because I could have sworn I saw them with it again in another episode.
