Now, with that said, I'm no fan of Obama-Care, but for all its flaws I'll accept the reform, as it is better than the way it was. Allowing 'competition' across state lines would be absolutely disastrous (see what that for credit card co.)

You know something that is at least in the same INDUSTRY. It's amazing how low car insurance is, but hey that's not because of NATIONWIDE competition for my money as opposed to just statewide competition, I mean I am sure having less competition actually lowers prices.

@Aegius I do not know the exact waiting times in Canada as I do not live there. Every country in Europe has sociaized medicine and I can not imagine not having it. I just can not understand how in a successful country like the US you can care so little about other people. I think the view in Europe is that the sign of a civilised country is caring for the poor, week and sick. That is why we have social security and socialised medicine. Why do you not want children to get health care?

Sweden, Denmark & Norway & more recently Germany cut back on gov-run health care & allowed for more private care as there are no more funds for it. Gov-run health care is doomed to fail as the money runs out & the quality plummets. That happened in USA in HI, ME, TN & MA. All bankruptcy & all failure.
