Oops sorry, I know you mentioned that you did some research so you'd be ready for the test, but what I meant was when you first started working at a fast pace, was it hard to remember all the drinks and ingredients? I can imagine that would be rather stressful!
@sunbrightt sry for getting back so late! It was a bit stressful with all the recipes, customer service, product knowledge and registry thrown at you all at once..but if you have great co-workers who are willing to stand by and help...theres not much you can do. Just try and absorb everything, one day at a time, ask questions, mistakes are OKAY:)..and enjoy working at a place that so many ppl stop by:)..most importantly if you love coffee..you'll be an amazing barista! Thx!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm away at college and when I go home for 3 months in May I'm hoping to work at one of the Starbuck's in my town. Did you have trouble learning to make all the drinks at first? Love your channel :)
@justagurlstar Yes, its best to memorize the recipes..and you kindof have too because when there's twenty ppl in line, you don't have time to look up recipes in our booklet. I do make brewed coffee and teas at home...but I am saving up money to invest in a nice espresso machine to make white chocolate mocha's :)...(my absolute fav)! Thanks for commenting
@meanubeanu I personally would say they don't look at the applications, from my own experience, I applied to over 20 locations and got not a single call back. I would recommend going straight to the location and talk to the manager. If you have previous experience, great, I had none so I was lucky to get hired! Connections are also great, but at the time I didn't know anyone who worked at Starbucks..hope this helps:)
@meanubeanu Oh, they definitely do look at online apps! That's where the managers mainly look for new employees... Do the online application AND go to the locations you applied at with resume in hand and talk to the manager and hand them your resume face to face. Doing all that will definitely take effect (:

I really want a job at Starbucks. Would you say the online applications are effective?
