Ichiro Okouchi said that they left off the anime for fans to decide, and apparently it's been confirmed that Lelouch is dead but I believe he is alive for sure!

I also heard that they will place the setting 30 years in the future. Whatever happends I will watch it Code Geass was and is a great anime!

There was some info (small part) in a famous Japanese magazine that reported every code geass thing from sunrise. It showed that they are working on a new story line. But i dont expect the new series (or alternate code geass) to be out until 2011 or even later.. they want to wait until people kind of relax... on the idea of another series.. but i might be wrong like always, but there is hope of another series/season due to the magazine, it said clearly there will be another later in the future!

A season 3 would probably be an manga adaption of Knightmare of Nunally or something (therefore not a true new season).

An actual 3rd season would ruin season 2's perfectly good ending (sad, no doubt, I was crying). Code Geass is without a shred of doubt the best show I've ever watched and a 3rd season would just ruin everything.

actually schizo i would take that "statement" back. there are many theories as to contradict everything you say. Lelouche Lamperouge. L.L and btw he was in that fight with his father near the end correct? that means when Charles his father grabbed him with his right arm his Geass silgi arm. He could have gotten his code. and or used CC's code either way. he used a code. and CC was also takling to someone. Hes not "fucking dead" as you say.

To further discuss this unending speculation if Lelouch is dead or not, I can actualy accept them both. But I have a theory considering the titel. Some have the Code, and some have a Geass, those with the Code can grant the Geass but not use it yeah you know the rest, but somehow Lelouch obtained Code Geass, that is immortality and a Geass at the same time :D That would make some kind of sense right?

While we discuss this the editors must be laughing their asses of sense they know the truth :/

Lelouch died taking with him all the hatred in the world. Maybe some villain in the past did try it in the real world but in reality when the villain is gone people will just turn to the one whoever is next on their list. We will always be able to find some villain because our story doesn't end on ep 25 :). Still.. this was one hell of an anime... its there to stay in my fav. list for a long time...this song was just the perfect ending...

his death... this anime... its way different than other animes its actualy about how mankin struggle of classes. The columnist Carlo Santos of Anime News Network wrote that the franchise "in a way, Code Geass reflects the malaise of a generation: the realization that old, rich, powerful people have screwed up the world and that the young are helpless to do anything about it

For me, it reminded me of a sacrifice for all of mankind.

He trying to do still do good for all, despite being an anti-hero shows that he was so much more behind that mask. It was sad to see that those close to him realized it all too late.

Either way, this was one of the very few series I watched that made such a huge impact to me. It was beautifully brilliant.

i wrote a 700+ word essay on lelouch's story for my end of term english paper exam last year and it caught my teacher by surprised.

i told her that it originated frm an anime, of course; but that only served to impress her more. she said that lelouch's sacrifice led her into thinking about the past villains in history and wondered if they were truly what we think they were.

i was thinking the same thing when i wrote it n enough said that it made me re-think things really REALLY hard.

Nice, you usually can't do a good essay if it's about anime (that and it's English mind you), so kudos!

Of course with this anime, it broke my norm of what an ordinary villain would do compared to the hero. It would be your usual light vs. dark antics which is pretty much the same thing, but this series introduced the term 'anti-hero' into a whole new meaning.

All honesty, I would think Lelouch is the current epitome of anti-heroes in which no one really knew what he was gonna do next.

Well it's bit an unofficial soundtrack so it's not in the actual OST. I believe bankai's original question was asking for lyrics for this, but since this pertains the genre as well, I meant it to be a soundtrack piece even though it's a fan made rendition.
