i went to tuol sleng before and what really got me was the photographs of the victims. There were hundreds, maybe thousands posted on walls. Its a sad display as you see their faces and they look like innocent people who does not have a clue of what is going on.
These men rely on the same defense used by Nazi conspirators at the Nuremberg trials in 1945--1) "Total allegiance" and 2 )they were just following orders. Not once is any remorse expressed by them. This is shocking. There is no justice for the dead!
The word "Angka" its meaning then was an "absolute obedience" People must do what Angka wanted people to do. An ordered by Angka must carry out either to kill or to work to death or put someone to dead with no remorse or hesitations even if those were ones' parents, siblings or relatives.
Those people should be tortured and distroyed.
