I've flown on these little puddle jumpers out of PIT. My most recent one was Pittsburgh-Houston. I didn't think these little planes had that kind of range.
Nice takeoff. I've flown on a Continental Express ERJ-145 from Little Rock National Airport (LIT) to Houston Bush Intercontinental (IAH) on 8/24/09 & back on 8/31/09. I'm scheduled on a United Express ERJ-145 from Little Rock National Airport (LIT) to Chicago O'Hare (ORD) on 7/19/11 & back on 7/27/11.
well the two that slid off the runway, tail numbers N829HK and N847HK i have also had several problems with them on the ramp, none the less, Trans States have the best crew and the easist planes to handle.
hmm, prety sure they tell u to turn off all portable electronics. If u did this when i was on the plane, ide take ur camera and smash it. people really are stupid when it comes to other peoples lives
@Brycesnwb ok seriously, do you know how many people film takeoffs? if cameras made planes crash, there would've been thousands of plane crashes just in the past month.
@Brycesnwb You're a complete idiot. "portable electronics" may be instructed to be put away and turned off, but as a pilot and a son of a great, great pilot, I would know that video cameras and such devices don't do crap to any of the aircraft's functions. There's no need to slam the guy who made this video ya know! >:|
Nice! Are you qualified to operate all a/c types in the fleet, or are you only on one? I'm a part-time Eagle ramper up here in CLT, as well as a full-time fueler with ASIG. Do you ever fly into CLT? Let me know if you're ever coming in/going out!
I know we get ERJ's to/from MIA and ORD.... and occasionally an ER3 will pop up from LGA, but that's a pretty rare occurrence. So how many times a day do you get to say: "Brakes released, nose wheel steering disengaged, clear to push"? Hearing those words are usually the highlight of my day because I'm doing pushbacks! haha.
This plane is superb, has a range over 2800km with full load (fuel/passengers) and can reach 834km/h as maximum cruise speed, 50 passengers seats, i think it's one of the best airlplanes for medium range domestic/between neighboor countries there is out there...7 people don't pay the fuel...some countries that flight would've been cancelled...hehehehe
@RoHoAirsoft I was the only one once. I was hitch- hikeing back to KSTL from KORD. That was when I worked for TransStates though, it was a company reposition flight. No Passanger load.
Never really thought of it like that. But not really, I've been on flights before (on the 19 seat beech 1900) and there are not FA's on those flights. If its 19 seats or smaller, you do not need an FA at all.
I fly enough that I feel fairly confident in my ability to escape from a crashed a/c (if I'm still alive) w/o an FA. One less person to climb over on the way out I guess!
Nice job! All leather seats, too! I've heard that, even on a full load, these aircraft are most comfortable if you can a seat on the row of single seats, rather then double.
Yeah I'm with FlyGuy, great information! So many of these videos on this website are missing good info. We're waiting on some more posts! Keep it up buddy!
thanks! This was one of the first videos I posted with the added titles- just wanted to see how it was received. I know some people don't like having to sit through 30 sec. of words before you get to the good stuff- but I guess you can't please 'em all. Yeah- I've got another NWA DC-9-50 video to post whenever I get some spare time.

If the plane i was on was that empty i would of gotten a better seat
steveramirez15 7 months ago
@steveramirez15
please define what you mean by "better". I chose the seat for the proximity to the engines to pick up better sound quality for this video.

"how about you toss a coke can into the engine, then see what happens.."
Or at least something to that effect
Very cool video, by the way.

I agree completely, very nice and sturdy a/c. And the fuel bill definitely wasn't paid (my ticket for the segment was only $90 us).
