@tank44tide well tank sounds like to me, u need take a break from lifting heavy for couple to few weeks, sometimes when you egt wrapped up in numbers and r struggling u usually trying to hard, eat big, get plenty rest, and go after it few weeks. do tricep training tons of it, nose breakers, dips weighted, tricep pushdowns with rope, your chest is a lot bigger muscle than arms so u never train chest more than twice a week if u wanna be real strong.
@tank44tide well I mean you should do more tricep work outs besides the bench press. triceps are really important for benching. if you look at someone benching you will see his triceps n vains pop out
@drastaify Mate its right what i am saying. I do not play tough. Just Pointed the mistake, because the lift is not accepted if the ass not on the bench
ok first off arching your back is CORRECT form. It takes pressure of the shoulders to decrease the chance of shoulder injury. However, the man is "ghost fucking" which means is butt is coming off the bench. Therefore, not a PERFECT lift. But this isnt a competition, the man is only training. And big boy philosophy is, the heavier u go the stronger you get. PLUS this man isnt exactly young. So MUCH respect to this man for doing something that 99.9 percent of you youtubers couldnt imagine doing.
perfect form would be coming down to the chest, pausing it until the bar stops, pressing it clean, locking out, then racking the weight. while keeping your upper back and bottom on the bench the whole time, an inch off the chest? thats called half reps.
well, i think that 405x10 is impressive weather or not your form is perfect or not, bouncing the bar off your chest is going to add reps to your lift, one of the most difficult things about bench pressing is getting the bar off your chest back to the lockout position. i mean, im not trying to knock your lift, but i do own 5 records bench records across two orginazations, including two world records, and a competition lift is pausing the weight. i benched 420 raw at 198 pounds.
@jiggaboo904 if you dont have anything nice to say to people you shouldnt really say anything at all, in otherwords keep your mouth shut on my videos!!!!!! moron....
@jiggaboo904 Dude you called that guy the n word. WTF, why don't you call people at your job or school that word. Your a bitch ass hoe, a closet racist that doesn't have the balls to tell people to their face.
@Skrydstrup9 can you even take this weight off the rack? can you perform one good perfect rep with it? if not then you have no business commenting, imo if arching the back helps him get another rep out, then it is better to do that than give up on a set
@jalidav1 of course not? Im 18 years old, so its a bit to heavy, but if you bend your back at the amount of this, it can damage your back for life.... One wrong move and.... BAM! goodbye to workout the next 20 years. I must say, if you have to bend your the back at the 5 rep, you have to much weight on....
@Skrydstrup9 Totally disagree, if you watch powerlifting videos watch how the likes of gene rychlak and others set up for the bench, they lie down and move their feet as close to being in line with the shoulders as they can, they also use their hands on the barbell support to push their shoulders down further. This creates an arch in the back and is a far stronger position to perform a bench press as it utilizes more of the chest and also part of the back comes into play when pressing. peace
@Skrydstrup9 obviously if your 18 you have much to learn about lifting. So i really dont understand you commenting on something you really have no clue about. But here is your schoolin for the day. Most if not ALL professional lifters will bring their feet as high close to their head as possible to create an arch. The arch takes strain off the shoulder, which decreases shoulder injury. You tighten your delts which creates a firm foundation. the bar isnt on the stomach so the back doesnt get hurt
My goal is to catch you by Aug. Nice work on all your lifts. Keep up the hard work. Did you check out my new video? It's my full chest and Triceps workout.
Loose form or not, it was pretty impressive with no lifting aids and the guy was probably around 50 years old at no more than 220 lbs.
