  • Loose form or not, it was pretty impressive with no lifting aids and the guy was probably around 50 years old at no more than 220 lbs.

  • check out eric lilliebridge's 10 reps at 405 today, flawless form and perfect. train with him. he is the best there is.

  • is that at ozark fitness in springfield MI?

  • I'm stuck at 385 lbs. How do I get outta that to get to 405 finally? I've been stuck for 2 months now and becoming agitated.

  • @tank44tide well tank sounds like to me, u need take a break from lifting heavy for couple to few weeks, sometimes when you egt wrapped up in numbers and r struggling u usually trying to hard, eat big, get plenty rest, and go after it few weeks. do tricep training tons of it, nose breakers, dips weighted, tricep pushdowns with rope, your chest is a lot bigger muscle than arms so u never train chest more than twice a week if u wanna be real strong.

  • @tank44tide well I mean you should do more tricep work outs besides the bench press. triceps are really important for benching. if you look at someone benching you will see his triceps n vains pop out

  • that guys shirt says niggers

  • damn 405 is fuckin' nuts! goodjob!

  • ur bumping it.. try strappin ur self to the bench than i bet you couldnt do it.

  • your ass have to be on the bench - just saying

  • @SrNNN93 fucking stupid internet tough guy

  • @drastaify Mate its right what i am saying. I do not play tough. Just Pointed the mistake, because the lift is not accepted if the ass not on the bench

  • Bouncing or not, benching 405 is pretty nice! I cant even press this one time, with or without bouncing or cheating hehehe.

Im stuck at 300lbs, so nice work!

  • @steefmek

I'm stuck at 225. This is crazy weight. You are pretty strong too. 300 ain't no joke.

  • ok first off arching your back is CORRECT form. It takes pressure of the shoulders to decrease the chance of shoulder injury. However, the man is "ghost fucking" which means is butt is coming off the bench. Therefore, not a PERFECT lift. But this isnt a competition, the man is only training. And big boy philosophy is, the heavier u go the stronger you get. PLUS this man isnt exactly young. So MUCH respect to this man for doing something that 99.9 percent of you youtubers couldnt imagine doing.

  • @mjhs3609 99.9percent? LOL but I get what you are saying

  • Yh thts right u bounce it off yh chest, any harder and you'll break yh rib cage , then bye bye benching!!!

  • keep your ass down

dont bounce the bar off the chest

  • impressive! there should be no disrespect on this video when you are throwing up that much weight. nice work.

  • impressive to put up but you shouldnt be touching your chest let alone bouncing about an inch of is perfect form

  • @dan9322

perfect form would be coming down to the chest, pausing it until the bar stops, pressing it clean, locking out, then racking the weight. while keeping your upper back and bottom on the bench the whole time, an inch off the chest? thats called half reps.

  • @cgbb2005 ok i agree, but now i do 405 for 10 reps clean

what u think about them apples?????

  • @sgtfitz71

well, i think that 405x10 is impressive weather or not your form is perfect or not, bouncing the bar off your chest is going to add reps to your lift, one of the most difficult things about bench pressing is getting the bar off your chest back to the lockout position. i mean, im not trying to knock your lift, but i do own 5 records bench records across two orginazations, including two world records, and a competition lift is pausing the weight. i benched 420 raw at 198 pounds.

  • @dan9322 who the fuck told you not to touch your chest?

  • @jiggaboo904 if you dont have anything nice to say to people you shouldnt really say anything at all, in otherwords keep your mouth shut on my videos!!!!!! moron....

  • @jiggaboo904 DICK EATER DICK EATER DICK EATER

  • @jiggaboo904 Dude you called that guy the n word. WTF, why don't you call people at your job or school that word. Your a bitch ass hoe, a closet racist that doesn't have the balls to tell people to their face.

  • @jiggaboo904 maybe racist? maybe?

  • I hate when people touch the bar when im repping or maxing out and i doint need their help

  • omfg, baddest form ever seen... Keep your fucking ass on the bench or someday you arent even able to wank

  • @Skrydstrup9 can you even take this weight off the rack? can you perform one good perfect rep with it? if not then you have no business commenting, imo if arching the back helps him get another rep out, then it is better to do that than give up on a set

  • @jalidav1 of course not? Im 18 years old, so its a bit to heavy, but if you bend your back at the amount of this, it can damage your back for life.... One wrong move and.... BAM! goodbye to workout the next 20 years. I must say, if you have to bend your the back at the 5 rep, you have to much weight on....

  • @Skrydstrup9 Totally disagree, if you watch powerlifting videos watch how the likes of gene rychlak and others set up for the bench, they lie down and move their feet as close to being in line with the shoulders as they can, they also use their hands on the barbell support to push their shoulders down further. This creates an arch in the back and is a far stronger position to perform a bench press as it utilizes more of the chest and also part of the back comes into play when pressing. peace

  • @Skrydstrup9 obviously if your 18 you have much to learn about lifting. So i really dont understand you commenting on something you really have no clue about. But here is your schoolin for the day. Most if not ALL professional lifters will bring their feet as high close to their head as possible to create an arch. The arch takes strain off the shoulder, which decreases shoulder injury. You tighten your delts which creates a firm foundation. the bar isnt on the stomach so the back doesnt get hurt

  • BTW ...people that are talking shit about his butt.. have u ever been to a power lifting comp? .. obv. not ..

  • @Gibson102286 obviously you haven't either then, fuck-stick...shoulders AND ASS have to be on the bench, but arch your back all you want

  • old dude suckin roids down hahaha slow, fat, and illegitmate muslde strength.... sad really...

  • stop raising your butt off the bench its bad for your back

    i learned the hard way

  • impressive man

  • may i bounce it also?

  • dumb spotter

  • good job bro u have very excellent strength hope to see more vids in future!

  • bouncing it off your chest a little, but stll tone of weight

  • I love to see this from older guys especially Vets. Thanks Sarg!

  • damn

  • nice!!

  • That's pretty cool to see a guy that age push that amount of weight

  • thats amazing you dont look strong at all great work

  • That is impressive as hell

  • who told you that crap?

tonksie93 how much do ya bench son?

  • Holy shit, you made 405lb look easy lol I turn red as hell and struggle maxing out with this weight, which I don't always get by the way.

  • Uhh... maybe that "crap" is true? Leaves your lower back in an extremely vulnerable position for injury.

  • Your not supposed to come off the bench

  • thanks see you are doing lockouts BRETZERR good work!!!

  • Great job bro...nice power. 5 stars.

  • My goal is to catch you by Aug. Nice work on all your lifts. Keep up the hard work. Did you check out my new video? It's my full chest and Triceps workout.
