You're both wrong lol. They were members of the Tyrone/Monaghan Brigade. It is usually referred to as the East Tyrone Brigade because it is in this area that it was most effective. Similarly to the way the "Armagh Brigade" is referred to as the "South Armagh Brigade".

Also parts of Tyrone actually came under Mid-Ulster Command.

there was no such thing as the 'west tyrone brigade' - they fought along with Tyroen-Monaghan brigade commonly known as the East Tyrone Brigade. West Tyrone area would have been Strabane/Castlederg/Omagh areas
