@angelalengleng okay this story about a note that when it play in the piano room in the old building it can make u travel through time..Rain find the note when she been looking for her inhaler, so she play and she meets Jay...which after that they fall in love but she didn't tell Jay that she came from the past 20 years in the past. The first person she meet in the future is the only one she can see at the time she been there, Rain told her teacher which turn out is Jay father bout the note.

Every time I watch this film, I bawl like a big baby. Even when I'm just listening to my music & this song comes on my Zune, I get teary eyed really bad. This film is one of my all time favorites ever. So romantic, passionate, so cute, so everything. <3

now all the pieces of jigsaw puzzles are comin together, and he realises that he has to rush to the buildin immediately since the process is abt to start (pretty smart =P). so he played the piece really fast, just like how his girlfriend has WARNED HIM NOT TO LOL, and in the nick of time, he made it back to the time before his girlfriend has actually discover the piece, (maybe he played too fast lol idk), and woot he meets her =D

the school decides to demolish the old buildin, and jay has just found out tt his girlfriend is twenty yrs behind his time. he rmbs tt his girlfriend has asked him nt to play the piece she has taught him in on the old piano. finally he realises tt the piece is a secret melody tt his girlfriend has left, out of her affection for him, so tt there is a slim chance tt he can connect to her (she taught him after knowin tt the buildin is goin to be demolished).

Aye, 20 years, most popular interpretations say that he travelled prior the event she found out about the 'secret', hence saving her from her then 'future' death, and also spared her the hurt of being mocked by her school'friends', mother and teacher.

I don't know why I liked this movie either...I mean, we all know that they'd fall in love and something will go wrong...I think it's the pace of the movie and kwai lun-mei's great acting...ahhh I love her!
