  • so many guitars

  • Well, Guitar Hero is now officially dead.

  • @KrimsonDragon24 not really i still play it, its a very fun stress reliever

  • Am i the only one that noticed this man is completly fucking stoned in this commercial?! I mean look at his eyes!He was on celebrity rehab and said hes dad stole his pot so he beat him up with a baseball bat lol

  • An actual guitar game that showcases Gibson/Epiphone rather than having over 9000 different models of Fender Strats...

  • I NEED THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HardFacktor You don't need this to learn guitar for fucks sake

  • @MaxHallbergz I didn't say that, i can play guitar and i am kinda god at it, i see this like a jam track that you'are playing allong to. and i agree whit you, you dont need a game to learn play guitar.

  • Gibson LP BFG

    For the win !!!

  • Lol the cord it comes with is no where's close to that big ass pile of cord he has sitting next to him! Lol unless they extended it somehow jus for the video

  • I have a friend hes a good guitar player. he told me to avoid tabs as much as possible with an exception; if the gig is really close and you have a hard time nailing the song, go for tabs. But one problem still remains, you don't have money to buy all those gadgets. Some people can't even buy a decent amp. with the creation of this game, it could really help: broke intermediate up to pro guitar players, and especially it could teach beginners like me! XD

  • this dude was on celeb rehab hes someones step son

  • This is good for beginner and intermediate players exclusively. Advanced players should avoid this, since it does not cover any music theory at all, and the techniques it teaches are pretty basic.

  • @qwertyuiop46853 i am considered advanced and i think its really neat...its really easy to learn some songs i never got around to learning

  • @clokedbigman You can spend your money however you want. This game however, will not teach you inversions, modulation, reharmonization, diatonic substitution in tonal contexts, substitutions in modal contexts, tritone substitution, changing chord quality, pitch axis theory, etc.

  • @qwertyuiop46853 what it is is tabs...yes you wont get any of this from the game...but that is more like the really extremely serious guitar player....i already have a really good guitar teacher but this is still kewl for the average moderate guitar player...although im still advanced and know what youre talking about...this is still a cool way to learn a song....

  • @qwertyuiop46853 oh and this game actually has somthing called guitar arcade....and my favorite in there is where it makes you run scales....for instance the c minor pentatonic...you just choose a scale and it teaches you the scale...really good tool for some people out there

  • @clokedbigman You've said it. This game is almost exclusively tabs; I believe spending 80$ for tabs and scales that can be easily learned in cheap books or on the internet for free isn't the wisest investment. Then again, you can use your money however you want. However, one thing I did find interesting was being able to use several amps and effects, then again I'd prefer actually purchasing the effects and amps rather than the game for obvious reasons.

  • @qwertyuiop46853 while your point is valid...i personally have an easier time learning a song through this instead of a book

  • The Xbox isn't even hooked up :O!

  • the bands this guy listed sucked and some were not bands

  • i have this game and i play it but i still play guitar hero its still fun

  • this is a rip off guitar hero was first few years later rock band came with guitar drums mic the when guitar hero world tour came out it copied rock band and then this weird guy comes in with rocktrash or whatever and copy's guitar hero

  • @quickscop675451 Guitar Hero is for no talent ass clowns, just like quickscoping. Rock band ripped off Guitar Hero, Rocksmith is a revelation.

  • @lojack816 quickscoping is for hardcore players(not u for sure) rockass suck balls and i seen some game play every one who plays it sucks balls at it and dosent look good

    (STFU )

  • this shit is a guitar hero rip off and if you buy this your a poser fag

  • @UberLifeTroll its nothing like guitar hero... you're using a real guitar instead of a piece of shit plastic, so in reality the guitar hero fans are the "poser fags".

  • @UberLifeTroll so if someone plays a musical instrument instead of a plastic fake guitar their posers? i think your wrong buddy. hop off guitar heros dick and learn an instrument. your a poser if you sit on a couch playing guitar hero all day

  • @jaketheguitarist6379 ughh buddy, ur getting trolled. look at his user name........................

  • What guitar at 1:42? it's not on Gibson's website.

  • See what I want to know is if you ACTUALLY learn while you play, or if it just become muscle memory to teach you songs.

Like if you're playing a song, will the game actually point out the chords or notes that you're actually playing? I want this game to start to learn how to play guitar, not on how to play the game, you know? Not just some new controller.

  • @mdossantos047 i was wondering something similar. i think this is basically a tool to get a feel for the guitar and learn notes and how to play a few songs, its not going to teach you how to write music if thats what youre getting at.

  • @Itsallover57 Oh I know to write music I have to write some music theory, but I want to actually learn how to play guitar, not be some douchebag who plays a couple songs at parties to get laid lol

  • @mdossantos047 aw. thats exactly what i was gonna use it for. that and playing songs you love in gh was alot of fun so i can only imagine the satisfaction with a real guitar. but ive looked up more info on this game and apparently it does give you the knowledge to go out and learn new songs. so it does teach you how to play?

  • @Itsallover57 Don't get me wrong I want to do that too lol. But that's not all I want it to do. I hope it does teach me.

  • @mdossantos047 It has scales drills, chord drills, and several other practice tools in the mini games. It also has some cool learning exercises. You probably won't become a world renowned musician from this, but you will certainly learn more than "just a few songs", plus you will develop the dexterity and finger strength needed.

  • @notthatbrad Sweet this seems like a great jump-off point then :D

    Thank you

  • INTERPOL SLOW HANDS!! *______*

  • why hasn't a single person heard of rock band 3 pro mode?

  • Comment removed

  • also, do they have metal songs in the track list?

  • "you dont need to drag your whole amp around." ya all you have to bring is your xbox and your tv

  • @kiamlambellissimo AND your guitar. but that was implied. . . :P

  • Chimney! Cool :)

  • Drumsmith Anyone? \m/. Drummers Unite!

  • look at those eyes. STONED

  • i bought this on holiday. it's too late to play it now but i'm playing it tomarrow afternoon and i can't wait.

  • Bye Guitar Hero

    Hello Rock Smith :D

  • KEATON SIMONS? -sniff- It appears we share quite an epic first name.

  • more game. less douche.

  • Jesus kids just buy a guitar and teach yourselves. Its so much fun to discover the guitar yourself, not have some game teach you a setlist. You wouldn't learn guitar, you'd just learn those songs.

  • Dear Santa...

  • I hope that they don't limit the application of this to the guitar, as there is no reason that keys or electronic drum kits can't be integrated.

  • omg wireless xbox O_O!

  • I've been told that games are a waste of money and are unproductive. KISS MY ASS.

  • @ThinkingWithPortal2 FUCK YOOOOOOOOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!

  • clickity clack lol

  • I don't really get it. It sounds awesome, but if you wanna play the real guitar, just do, you don't need a game to do it, do you? :/

  • @Hellharicot I believe this can make learning songs much easier. You know, you have a video tab of every section of the song. The bad thing is it will not teach you theory and wont put your creativity to use. It's very interesting when you can add a bit of "you" to the song. :)

  • @Hellharicot i get where you are coming from but learning the notes only gets you so far and sometimes you just want to play around or play a song by lets say greenday you got tabs and books out there and even videos of people playing it but for most its far easier to actually see it as its coming up rather than having to read along with the tabs or figure out where they need to be i learned a song in about 2 weeks where as if i had this i prob could have had it down in about a day

  • @Hellharicot its just motivation i guess you got exercise games on kinect that are just to motivate you

  • @Hellharicot the thing is that i spent hundreds into guitar pro that is tablatures on your computer but its not motivation its to play whit a band and always having songs to learn. i'm sure you never played guitar and i play eruption by Eddie Van Halen at 100%(its not in the game) and having tablatures and the song at the same time is THE BEST advantage

  • @G0lfer4EVER I play the guitar actually! And pretty well I think. The thing is that I don't use tabs, I learn songs by using my ears. Guitar pro tabs are almost never correct... :/

  • @Hellharicot it has some minigames that improve your techniques :D

  • @Hellharicot Yeah but this way is better than reading TAB because you know, you don't have to read, pfft. But no really I think it's good because that seems to be the only way to get kids like something nowadays, turn it into a video game.

  • I want one!

  • Learning guitar = Learning Bass so STFU

  • @TheXboxPrankcalls With that logic I should be equally as good at electric guitar as I am at electric bass. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

  • Please have bass on this game in the furure.

  • lol is he even alternate picking?

  • This guys just another poser. "Solo Artist" my fucking ass, Anybody can accomplish simple scales in less than a day.

  • @oOTh4TKiiDOo please. stop being arrogant.

  • Is he talking shit about guitar hero? FUCK THIS GUY. I grew up on guitar hero, it inspired me to begin playing guitar. Guitar Hero 1 \m/

  • I kind of wonder why he has the truss cover removed on his GLP at 1:36. That's a little weird.

  • @ImmaKurtCobain yea that is weird......

  • @ImmaKurtCobain it's 2 different guitars.

  • Well RIP Guitar hero.

  • @rapiddrgoan6 guitar hero is already done mate. they went out of business.

  • @rapiddrgoan6 thank god

  • I am learning bass, god fucking damnit...

  • Wow he played with some of the top bands in the world. The black eyed peas, jurrasic five, and snoop dog. They should have interviewed someone else becuase you dont have to be much to play in these rap bands.

  • Rocksmith looks pretty cool and fun. Can't wait to get it.

  • First thing first. Get a console. Or at least a guitar.

  • If they make a rocksmith 2, they should have bass in it.

  • It would be cool if they had a Bass part.

  • Comment removed

  • i wonder if it covers for whammy bars cuz i have an ibanez and i like experimenting and not staying with the actual song

  • something that I'm definitely looking forward to. I've had the urge to to learn how to play guitar for awhile now. And this seems like a viable option.

  • I hope he didnt "borrow" David Meshow's guitar too long.

  • Yeaah SG custom

  • it doesnt teach chords...u need fundamentals....

  • @ScullyboyDX It has a chord book in the game and there are quite a few chords in the songs. It's no substitute for a teacher or practice based around technique, but it's better than sitting around and playing Guitar Hero.

  • Dear Santa...

  • I don`t like this game

  • thats pretty awesome hes played with ozo and its the best way to learn guitar

  • Does the wireless Xbox 360 come with the game?

  • i already have controller a $1300 controller

  • shit... now everybody would know how to play guitar.... but WTH this game seems AWESOME!!!!

  • Interpol <3

  • Thumbs up if your an addict too! Day 2 of Rocksmith and i CAN NOT PUT IT DOWN!!

It's incredible, dare i say the best game i ever played? can i count it as a game?

  • works on a peavey raptor plus exp..just fine!!!I know!!!!And this is a low end guitar!!no lull..I'm using a simple rca flat screen and a xbox 360.

  • I have got to get this game!!!

  • Do you notice that all the guitars are epiphone/Gibson

  • @PMoney2517 whats wrong with sponsers?

  • ive been playing guitar for 5 years and im pretty good, not to brag or anything. will this game be too easy for me?

  • @qpPitchBlackqp uh, did you actually watch this video??

  • @nczempin yeah looks easy. its basicly just repeated power chords the whole time

  • Comment removed

  • @nczempin how am i being a troll -.- im asking a legit question...

  • @qpPitchBlackqp 1:26 just repeated power chords??

  • @nczempin oh ok. thought he was just jamming there. didnt know that was him playing the game. but thanks

  • @qpPitchBlackqp if you can play every existing rock song perfectly, then yes. but i doubt you would be able to even with a lifetime of experience

  • @ERKRAKANARB well i cant, so thanks

  • Guitar Pro for the computer sounds better. and backing tracks can be found online anyway

  • Hey, Keaton Simons - Eric Roberts' son, I first saw him on Celebrity Rehab and I really liked the song he performed. This game looks freakin' awesome and I want it!!! European release, please!!

  • @patrickwegner it's available for the PS3 at amazon.de, .fr and co.uk. Works like a charm (unless you use an analog PAL tv, which I hope no-one connects to their PS3).

  • Gunna buy this game just to finally 100% a game

  • so wait.... u dont need an amp? your tv is the amp? wtf.... im so lost... no need for pedals?

  • @CowsProduceMethane you don't need an amp; the xbox/ps3/pc is the guitar amp / micro / effects combination [although I don't think you can use any foot pedals, but some auto-wahs etc. are included].

Part of this software models amps, like Amplitube or Guitar Rig. To actually hear anything you still need some speakers, be they in your TV or separate (or headphones).

  • Day 5... and 20 years LOL

  • there should be mandolin, bass, triangle, cowbell, and drum versions

  • Damn!! Now I HAVE to learn how to play the guitar. I can't have these 12 year old video game junkies being better than me at something outside of WOW and Halo.

  • @dick117 shit im in trouble too

  • @dick117 12 year olds wouldnt give a shit. they think real instraments are lame like most 12 year old gamers.

  • @abcjohnlock1993 Really?! That's how you felt when you were 12? Different strokes...

  • @dick117 NAW. I just now a 12 year old who said that. he's kinda dumb tho for that opinion.

  • What is "freestyle" guitar? I've never heard of it.

Nice dig too...I'll never be better than this game. "Better" is as subjective as your pissant reply. Get a life.

BTW, following dots on a screen is 'less' than reading standard notation sheet music. I'm assuming you've never read standard music notation and brought that music to life. It's not like dots. Sorry to all you dedicated dot readers. And guitar screen junkies.... guitarheroesplayrealguitars com

  • will this have a split/screen offline multiplayer? to my girlfriend stop asking me to teach her, fuck.

  • The xbox is not even plug in.

  • Now friggin' Slash (GNR) can stop complaining about guitar games. xD

  • I WANT THIS FREAKIN GAME

  • Metalsmith?

  • if they wanted, they could build a game that could figure out the fingering reasonably well, maybe not exactly how originally played, but enough for you to learn, any song in existence you upload. it could only figure out main chords, and then show you decent fingering for those. but that's awesome. maybe one day it could be better than that, but the technology isn't there yet.

  • TheGreenfire23 this game could be the best teacher ever created, if built correctly. following dots on a screen is no less being a musician than reading sheet music. it can help learn freestyle, but ya, that one can write does not make one a poet. it won't make you a "great" guitarist. but neither will anything else. you talk big, but judging by that, you will never be better than this game could make you, so you could probably use it. ps. i had no teacher.

  • there should be a bass guitar version

  • @bryland7 you just revealed a new feature from rocksmith 2

  • @solexhn nice!

  • @bryland7 It's going to be made available as DLC

  • @bryland7 there should be one for the whole band.... all in one disc...

  • @bryland7 true but in a way guitar is slightly easier than bass

  • @karrodeadd to me bass is easier

  • @bryland7 it's not easier on my poor fingers

  • @bryland7 i know some people feel that way but guitar has only one method bass has regular and slap i play guitar and bass so its kinda of a mixed bag for mei think they should make a bass version to but it might be a little harder for some people who dont know how to do slap bass

  • @karrodeadd i agree about the slap bass thing...but u could consider guitar as having two methods cause u have lead which plays just notes and then u have rhythm which is chords..but this game looks like its just lead guitar...so to make it fair they could just make a bass version without slap

  • @bryland7 no they have rhythm and lead in this game but the only real difference between them is speed other then that they're pretty much the same i mean even though lead goes of on its own time its still to the same tempo as all the other instruments so its still rhythm

  • Amazing what people say when they're getting paid. "play with snoop dog"...what, one note...so what....go find a guitar teacher and really learn guitar and music...anyone can copy stupid dots on a screen...does it make you a guitar player...not really....i don't need some video screen game to make me play guitar for hours....i just play....good luck rocksoft...

  • @BlueSpawnRecords this game could be the best teacher ever created, if built correctly. following dots on a screen is no less being a musician than reading sheet music. it can help learn freestyle, but ya, that one can write does not make one a poet. it won't make you a "great" guitarist. but neither will anything else. you talk big, but judging by that, you will never be better than this game could make you, so you could probably use it. ps. i had no teacher.

  • @BlueSpawnRecords I am not sure I follow this statement. You still have to PLAY the songs, regardless of its tabs dots or hieroglyphics. This is not different than reading tabs.Your statement is baseless because everyone learns differently, you think it wont help you improve, but I am willing to wager this game helps many people become proficient at the guitar so they can continue to learn.

  • @Noodie87 Everyone learns differently. That is my point. That is why a guitar teacher will take you leaps and bounds beyond what a game teaches only one way. Get it yet?

  • @BlueSpawnRecords You are missing your own point. Just because one has lessons and a teacher hardly means they will be leaps and bounds beyond where a learning tool can take you. Players who have never had a lesson in their lives can and will blow many teacher taught players out of the water. A teacher is no guarantee you will be better than someone who gets rolling using Rocksmith. You are right, everyone learns differently some people just need a nudge and can self teach. This game does that.

  • @Noodie87 I'm assuming you mean to say "never had a lesson with a teacher". Check out the greatest players in the world...the ones you think are great...someone taught them...Hendrix...taught by several guitarists..one being Ernie Isley....Steve Vai....Berklee.....EVH... piano teacher..carried that knowledge to guitar....Eric Johnson....started lessons at 11....Chet Atkins...as a kid begged anyone that could play to teach him...Jimmy Page 12 yrs old friend..Blackmore..12yrs classical teacher...

  • @BlueSpawnRecords And many of those greatest players are self taught. A teacher is imply no guarantee, and that includes you as the teacher. Regardless, this game is an excellent tool for newcomers to build teh base and see results, thus giving them the courage and desire to continue to push forward and go get so called lessons. Regardless, there are many people, friends of mine included, ho have had 0 lessons and know moer about music theory and have vastly superior technical skills.

  • "A teacher is no guarantee you will be better than someone who gets rolling using Rocksmith."

You know what....I would take that challenge...give one kid this game....and one for me to teach...

rules...they both have to have equal passion to play......my student would have complete technical dominance over the gamer...have a strong understanding of musical theory and the ability to learn by ear...could improvise solos .have a chord vocalbulary..scalesvocabulary and so on...no contest..

  • @BlueSpawnRecords perhaps, but a teacher who incorporates this game will have more successful students than one who doesn't. Especially for the "practicing at home" part.

It doesn't have to be one or the other, why not both?

  • @Noodie87 You know what ...I will give this "game" a fair shake and try it....then, I can give you first hand impressions....stand by....

  • Tabs are more cheap idiots!

  • @rkomemo cheaper* love daniel

  • I picked this game up, I am learning guitar have been for a while and I must say this game is awesome in that you can take what you learn in a lesson or session and work on it for hours. The scoring system and minigames make the time fly by and before you know it youve been practicing for hours. Definitely a cool game.

  • I play guitar pro tracks like this game is played. Graphics are probably better.

  • LOL drugs much Keaton? You look like hell with those black eye sockets.

  • @ThePuryst He's a rock guitarist - what did you fucking expect?

  • i just hate the songs the only good ones are the rolling stone and are not the best song of them

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGreenfire23 Those you listed will never be in any music game. Guns N' Roses Axel got pissed when Welcome to the Jungle got on GH3 because no one asked for his permission, Led Zeppelin One of the band members wont put any songs in any music game, and Aerosmith Guitar Hero already has Guitar Hero: Aerosmith so its unlikely to be any other music game. BTW YOU LEFT CAPS LOCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
