  • I remember watching this on 60 min. 10 years ago like it was yesterday. That particular year I had seen DMB live at least four times. In each show that year the band was playing some of there "new" songs. This was the year I heard Bartender for the first time and fell compleatly head over heels in love with the song. This was the year grey street was born too. Man I was pissed when eveyday came out. I got a hold of lillywhite sessions online. So much better then everyday. SORRY GLEN

  • thank you very much for this

  • @dd31406 So true

  • Crack kills dd. Crack kills....,

  • I have listen to this band since 91 they have not put out a good album since everyday. I'm sorry but the last couple have a few songs on each that are good. Some devil was great but collectively their albums have been garbage! But they have great live shows that's all that matters!

  • @dd31406 You are saying Everyday is better than Busted Stuff? LOL what is wrong with you? Big Whiskey was also better than Everyday. New album with Lillywhite will be the shit.

  • You go Dave...... You might not be Led Zeppelin, but you are sure damn near it in my opinion. Yes, opinions, every body has one, just as every one has as asshole, BUT!! Some are wider in diameter than others......rest my case!!! The music industry....give me a piece of the pie.....Been trying to send material to you Dave but can not get through... My home studio is up to date since I just bought a house on the Eastern Shore. I got the bomb, a 2488 neo!! Well kiss my white behind!! She be bad!!!

  • You go Dave, have not seen you at Bodo's in a while....You need to check out a band called Howard Johnson and friends, use to be named Metropolis. Paul, the songwriter of the band is a great songwriter, one of the best, and I was the lead guitar player for two years. Me, also being a songwriter/composer/arranger/producer and player of seven instruments, guitar being my number one. Paul Johnson from Charlottesville, Va. has the ability to write the most interesting material. He is under rated...

  • My drummer from Shadwell, Va. would smoke Carter out, not only in rhythm but style, head, purtity, dedication, hard drive, but most of all HEAD. You gave got to be in the head of every original song that comes across to you....If Dave played just one song with my drummer, he would welcome him in the studio and the outcome would be under image taking another seat of the music industry. Hat's off to the number one band on the planet...DMB!!!!!!!

  • All of the members should kiss his ass....he got them there...they would still be doing Friday's after Five or the Dew Drop in Scottsville Va. Give him the props guy's. I wish the best and wish I were any of you.. Coren cashed in and knew what was there.... I busted mt ass in Charlottesville in the industry. 150,000 copies out of the trunk of a car (first take) and Bodo's Bagels. They made it and the students of the 90s got them there....

  • it's not "the" dave matthews band.

    it's just dave matthews band.

    go with the flow, man.

  • Wow he mispronounced damn near all of their names.

  • R.I.P. Leroi Moore..miss you :(

  • "...football" (as if)

  • what a swing and miss in 2000.

  • "yes... what a long, strange trip its been."

    well played sir

  • i have this dvd

  • another 10 years later and the guys are still amazing and strong. Keep it coming guys!!

  • Thanks for sharing this. Never saw it before.

  • silly Dave, theres not 8 days in a week

  • what song starts at 6:52 ?

  • @geigbla seek up

  • Seek Up

  • what song is he playing at 6:17?

  • @dmbanded The Stone.

  • The Stone... yea. Haven't heard that in ages!

  • @dmbanded the stone

  • @dmbanded

That song would be "The Stone", it's on the "Before these crowded streets"

  • @dmbanded the stone brah

  • 7:22 LOL.

  • Sublime,

  • Reggae... Monn? Fire that man.

  • @ethanbass100; pretty much his gimmick yeah.

  • RIP Andy Rooney.

  • What song is that at 6:06?

  • @digerw1 The Stone - Played on the Charlie Rose show.

  • fuck you glen ballard.

  • guy is cool- hes into music. i love his voice- perfect example about how you dont have to have a huge vocal range to have tallent. the feeling come through anyways. amazing.

  • He has a deep talking voice and a high pitched singing voice.

  • @Ichvyenichalster; two step.

  • @Ichvyenichalster Two Step

  • "I think we have something magical to give."

  • @juliacochran2536

    Great line!!

    Best band of all time!

  • Carter, go join Seven Mary Three or Earth to Andy ( great group, they rock ) or be a back up for Shannon Worrell when her drummer can not make it....REST MY CASE.....GIVE DAVE THE RESPECT NOW WHILE HE DESERVES IT AND FOREVER....Do not take your status for granted, you can always be replaced.....Dave could never be replaced, NEVER........He is what got you guy's there...of course you had your serious, musically ability ( no doubt ), lots of work on your part, but give him his PROPS!Thankhim4ever

  • @hanklove4ever dude when did you ever hear anything that made you think carter has no respect for dave? you must be on something because these guys have serious love for each other

  • @hanklove4ever Since when does Carter not respect Dave? And Carter is irreplaceable. If you knew anything about drums you would know he is among the greats.

  • Without Dave, you would still be doing Friday's after Five....and eating at Bodo's ( well, heck, I love to eat there ) You still remind me of my difficult Bass player, who had three years experience under his belt, and trying to tell the band and I what and when and where to play, and " I can't play Thursday, I gotta work Friday morning...) LATER DUDE. Miss you Rog. I would still love to play with you..I, me Hank Love over-see this group, Still Playing and Struggling. Carter, GET A GRIP!!!!!

  • I love you Carter, but if you guy's did not make it, you would have not stayed.....you remind me of my difficult Bass player, whom I fired, as in agreement with the band. Carter, go get a life, Dave made you and creative what you are today...give that man respect...I received respect from certain band members in my band, being the songwriter, they are my babies....You are rich because of that man..My drummer is fantastic and crazy and a loner....Plays what is happening in the song at the time.

  • i miss lillywhite.

  • Thumbs up is the name Glen Ballard makes you shudder.

  • They've got Reggae...Monnn

  • is it just mee..but Boyd is just yoked.

  • I can't help but think that Carter is lying.

  • @mikebaas; in what way?

  • @olafvisser i think hes reffering to when he said how terrible they were at first

  • @oObadphishOo; k thanks.

  • @mikebaas i dont think i know. find an iem recording listen to him talking about 'fuck i did it lets play captain'

  • @mikebaas You can't help but to think that Carter is lying about what?

  • @mikebaas haha never mind. I figured it out.

  • @mikebaas You're spot on. It was one of his most testing moments with the band. When he said " feel professional" you can feel the irony oozing through that statement !

  • @mikebaas He probably truly thinks they sounded bad, but it was probably just average. They don't except mediocrity, thats why they are so good.

  • Great piece!! DMB are awesome!! Charlie Rose is a great interviewer!!

  • thank u
