  • Harry Potter and the Return of Dobby. XD

  • OMG 300! such a good movie!

  • poor dude, goblin, spider, retarded thing.its eyes and teeth are almost the size of its head, that thing must be really stupid....

  • from 300

  • you didnt model the character? thats weak

  • it's an animation reel, not a modeling reel.

  • Epic goblin FTW i was expecting something like "this is Sparta!!!!!!!"

  • This needs a lot of work. This animation is really slow and stiff. It needs to be cleaned up a lot.

  • I can't really tell if its good or not, but I'm gonna go with "not." of all the differenct action scences, you picked one where there were many different characters interacting with eachother and chose to animate 1person. You really can't tell if the animation is smooth, or if the animator has a certain style. It just looks really stiff.

  • NICE ANIMATION

  • just a tip, if youre going for the slow motion look, dont then animate the eyes and the blinks as if it were real time, it really stands out

  • The movements really lack definition and power.

    It needs moar extreem

  • very good stuff.

however, as a fighting animation, it is lacking some realism. I mean, the animation is very good, but it seems more like the goblin is training (and not because he's fighting invisible enemies). He often handles the sword in a loose way, and when he throws his spear, it seems to me (as i'm not expert) it was pointing down when it shouldn't, his hand was supposed to be upper on the spear.

Anyway, I know how hard it is to make, and it very good, just some points you shouldconsider

  • 300 goblins vs 1 million invisible people!!!

  • Nice

  • I like the work you've done here. I think if you exaggerate the movements a bit more, it would be more believable. After all, he his a toon goblin. Great stuff here though! keep it up.

  • SPARTAAAAAAAAAA

  • nie nie nei nei

  • excelent! visit my animation!

  • I like the character design

  • really cool....

  • its very nice .

  • this is goblin Sparta!

  • It's real cool, you worked on the positions and stuff, if you animate the face and feet it would be amazing :D

  • i agree!! :3

  • haha amazing !

  • The goblin looks like Ephialtes!

  • he just killed himself ._.

  • He's adorable! LOL.

  • crazy guy

    hahahaha

  • Die invicible PEOPLE~!

  • me gusta el personaje

  • camera is disturbing. it looks like the character is floating without a ground plain.

  • Over all great but you really needed to fallow through on the combat it felt emotionless.

  • awesome concept dude..

  • needs to be pushed a lot more

  • lol theme from 300 nice..

  • i see your going for a 300 theme here.. I would say push the poses more, exaggerate the movements. Also don't copy the video reference hand on hand, Push your poses more and have more energy in your transitions. A shot like this I would have huge anticipation, If you don't know what that is i would look at the 12 principles from the book "The Illusion of Life" by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. Chapter 3. Nice slow motion movements but make the poses feel more organic.

  • that was amazing. Absolutely great work !!!

  • lol,nice video,what an ugly character lmao

  • cool

  • the animation had no power at all and it was pretty slow and stiff.

sometimes parts like the hand freaked out.

Good things: when he blocks with the shield, the power is good and the impact of the spear at the man was nice.

  • I agree

  • Never seen 300? it's the same like this :)

  • Character and weighting seemed good.

But you definitely need to power up the animation. Many times animators dont over exagerate poses and movements which makes the animation look very dull.... If you want to really catch someone's eye, just try to over extend the joints a bit more than originally thought.

Also- you should work on secondary motion (ex. wrist shaking, recoil when it hits something)..

  • But very good work caputuring the camera movement of the movie.... Might even be cool so put both videos side by side and or transparantly overlap them and compare.

  • this is AMAZING! I think I will steal this idea for my senior presentation

  • Yep..good character but the animatioin is really stiff

  • Promising looking character, horrible animation.

  • Only thing that i miss are the facial expressions

  • holy crap! what a nice animation. got to my favorit list

  • XDDDDDD

  • Can you put a tutorial on how to do animation of this video?

  • Major props for you on this one. Keep up the good work.

  • Rocking man.....great great job.

  • tooo goood man

  • good job man!

  • Good job. If you could put the movie and this together it would be very popular video.

  • dude , that's AMAZINGLY COOL !!!!!!!

  • 300 LOL

  • 300 lol

  • Very awesome

  • Pretty damn sweet!

  • it's great! maybe i put the background of "300"...

  • lol

    well done.

  • i think this is great!

    couldnt help laughing

    its been done really well

  • Fantastic!

  • Your timing is pretty accurate to the movie, you just need to push your poses some. Bend his spine more, thrust his arm out more. You do that and this will shine.

  • i think the time 1:07 the left heel have some problem ~~

  • happy animating

  • Nice animation!

he's really cute and the animation is really nice ^^

    Have you model it?

  • thanks..

but i didnt model the goblin character though..

it is from the dvd that is included with CG Toolkit's "the Art of Rigging Vol1"...
