  • If you could only keep one instrument what would it be?

  • wow this song is amazing! great job! i gotta check out your other stuff now!

  • oh man, this song is really great! any plans to get some people to play with and hit the road?

on another note, can someone tell me the sound difference, if any, between a 330 6 string and a 360 6 string?

  • Hey Dan, what type of gauge of strings do you use on your 6 string Rickenbackers?

  • Whatever is already on them! :p (Literally true - my only 6 string Ric still has whatever was on it when I bought it 2nd hand.) When I buy new strings I get the usual Ric ones: 10, 13, 20, 26, 34,42.

  • awesome! very smiths influenced i can tell, but still extremely original. fantastic job man

  • diggin it.. lovely verse riff, and as always, a masterful outro..

  • I really love this song and the album. Also your arrangement of Sitting On A Fence is wonderful, better than the original even though it's shorter.

  • Hey Daniel,

Would really appreciate to hear your input. Would you go to TR Glynn "South Ave" on itunes? I was trying to send you the file but cannot send on facebook or myspace.

  • This is amazing! I downloaded both your albums and am hooked! Can't wait to hear more!

  • genial , superbe , comme d'habitude .

  • Love the bass, very 'Rourkesque'

  • Nice song. The basic rif is amazing. Well done!

  • COOL ...as ever a top tune

i even like the vid ...

    more please Daniel

  • Another bewt.Particularly like the backing vocals and the acoustic guitar on this one.The lyrics are great too especially the bit that goes:-

"This must be the worst good time you've ever had,Drowning in the din,Smoking like your life depends on it"

    Testify!

  • Ace as usual. Sounds like youtube's poor audio conversion ate your ride!

  • Unbelievable...I was heading off to bed and checked my email, only to find new postings of videos.

    First one was yours.

Needless to say, I'm still awake and I'm playing along with this on my Martin.

I have to agree with "braddesrthemod"...this is your best yet.

You're very influencial to us Dan and it's always such a joy to hear you and your humble creations.

Thank you for making music that much more fun to listen to.

    Happy Holidays!

  • your best song yet! Quality lyrics. Will there be a third album?

  • Damn, you have the coolest voice! Right up there with Ray Davies and Paul Weller.

  • Just Clean Sweet n Vunda! What great dance music. I hope the kids are still doing that - ya know - dancing.

  • Ace

  • I like the video presentation particularly on this one. Long live jangle pop.

  • Congrats Daniel !!!!

  • great bassline man. and great mixing as always..

  • damn. i was greedily hoping for a few more, but i suspected (and appreciate) that you wouldn't put more than twelve tracks on an album (the unwritten upper-limit of perfect album length).

hell yeah dan, january to december... dropping awesome tracks all year long! this album fully defines '09 for me... especially how you close with "Skinny tastes as good as nothing feels"... oh shit, that's frickin' great!!

By the way, killer drumming on this one.

  • Another amazing track from Primrose League. Thank you Daniel, thoroughly enjoyed this.

  • perhaps one of the best albums i have.

  • oops sorry! got so excited 'cause of how much i agree and clicked the wrong "thumb"... you have impeccable taste in albums my friend.

  • Even thought I always enjoy more Primrose League material, I'm actually happy "Letters" is finished now, because now I can review it. :D

  • Great stuff Daniel. It makes me think of Athens, Georgia 1980-1982 or Manchester, England 1979-1983. Congrats on finishing LTCC.

    Keep um coming!

  • IMO, even if you never got around to recording more original music, you have accomplished a great deal. ( But do keep them coming!)

  • I'd mix the main vocals down a bit. It's a little loud on my monitors.

  • Very good. :D

  • Two albums of your own original hard work, you should be very proud of yourself! Thanks Daniel for the sharing your music, it is much apprieciated. Roll on No3!

    Rich.

  • Thanks - there may be some delay as I'm moving to a new home pretty soon.

  • no label for the third one? lol!

  • Great effort. This album has its highs and lows, but still very nice sound, very rare to find something like this nowadays. Though i still think the best songs apear in your first album. Keep on working hard, you have great potencial dan.

  • How does you get your bass to sound like that?

  • a pick

  • It's a Ric, they sound like that even when they're not plugged in. :)

  • @danielearwicker I've been waiting 2 years to get one.

Thank God for barmitzva! (if you know what that is)

  • What, is this another "request" for a video?? (Similar to the "Generic Tele" one) :D I must admit I find Dan's studio tour and How-to videos fascinating and entertaining....

  • First.
