hehehe try putting a hot towel(but make sure squeez it and leave small water on it) on the keloid and just leave it for several minutes and do this every night to cause the pores to open up and dehydrate. I hope it works cus it works on me.

There is a way to remove them, theres this study that if you freeze the keloid it will fall off, although your doctor has to freeze it. I recently had a keloid due to a navel piercing but my piercer said to get bayer asprin wet it a little to create a paste and cover your keloid with the paste. I worked for me, it gradually got smaller, and went away. I also used tea tree oil, it helps ALOT. Because a keloid is puss filled and bayer asprin & tea tree oil draws out the puss from the keloid.

Hey, I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but in my own search to get rid of my keloids, which I've had for about 6 years now, I found some reviews online for this stuff called black keloid paste aka hei ba gao which is sold by The Jamu Shop. I decided to give it a try, and ordered it all the way from China, so it took a couple of weeks to get to me. I have to say that this is the one thing I've tried that has not been a waste of money.

I just got mine a few days ago (the Black Keloid paste) and the thing with snake oil (don't know what it's called), but I read that it takes longer to start to see effects if you've got it removed before and had injections because it forms more keloids but I'm really curious as to how long I'd have to stay optimistic. @0HJOANNNE Mine aren't completely gone, but I'd say I noticed some difference in about 10 days. Originally they were about the size of small marbles along my jaw. Not cool. I tried the injections earlier this year, and after 3 rounds of them they had gone down a lot. But they were still there. Very painful though, even with numbing cream. I can't afford to get additional injections. So I was looking for something more affordable, and that would be permanent.

Dude that freaking sucks about the health insurance. The American health system seems really unfair. Makes me really appreciate the NHS here in Britain. I don't have keloids but i do have a big ass hypotrophic scar from an operation I had. Like you said, I barely register it's even there until someone brings it up, which I don't really care about anyway cus it's just a scar and it cd be far worse ^^ You seem like a very genuine and cool dude. Also you'll be suprised how dermatologist will work with you if you have no insurance. Injections are a cheap quick(2-5min) procedure for them. My derm told me if i lose insurance just give him $60 every time i come and that will cover the cost of needles and kenalog.
I had and still have keloids on my face, although they're pretty much gone...i dont see peoples eyes wandering around my face when i speak with them. Injections really helped, kenalog 40 mg. I go to the dermatoligist every 2 weeks. Right away the itching stopped and after a few months you see a big differece. No insurance companies cover keloids, they consider it a cosmetic procedure, but for some reason they cover Acne, get your Derm to say its acne treatment and your covered.
Tea tree oil does not work. Well, it did not work for me. I have a large keloid on my shoulder and right ear lobe. The oil did not work. It devastated me :(
yeah shot bro, its cool seeing people that have the same things as you and being comfortable with it. my keloids r just really small ones behind my ears and have not been growing at all, this being said they still used to get me down and sometimes still do. everyone has their bad days. I have noticed recently that when i got chicken pox when i was younger i had keloids form on my cheek and stomach which i never noticed until now, and with time they have fully flattened and blended with my skin.

I know its old but I have a hard bump in each of my ears too and I dont think its keloids. Sometimes they get big about the size of a pimple and sometimes small to where u cant notice them.

I just wanted to say that you should be able to still be on your mom's insurance as long as you remain a full time student. I was able to stay on my parent's insurance until I graduated at 23. So I'm sure you would be able to do the same. GOOD LUCK :)
thing about keliod is that you can get one when ever the skin is broken some small and flat and some large and bumpy , you have to be very careful i had mine remove in 99 it wasnt that big but i got scractched during a fight and i have a large bumpy one on my cheast , and thre have ben times that i got cut and i didnt get one , so its crazy

I had keloids that were removed and they never came back and then like an idiot i got my ears pierced and they started getting swollen and i took the earrings out and the swelling went away, then i got pregnant and i started to feel little knots forming where the old piercings were, the holes had closed years ago. Once i had the baby they went away completely...whew! Pregnant again and the knots started forming and got even bigger after i had the baby

Its good to see a guy talk ab their own skin. Some people always assume you have to be 'gay' to care or be concerned ab your skin. A man has got to look good for himself--no matter what his sexual preference is. Sometimes skincare issues CAN affect a persons esteem too. Anyway, I did notice that the scars have reduced in this video. Tea tree oil soap by Dr. Bronner Magic Soaps, raw Black Soap [use every other day] Apple Cider Vinegar [Half h20/Half ACV, sunscreen, and a moisturizer is good too.
I found Dr. Blaine's complete scar care treatment works really well on keloids, hypertrophic, acne and surgical scars. The treatment has a silicon gel-pad that you wear for 12 hours and then a liquid gel that you apply for the rest of the day. You can buy it at Longs Drug/CVS and Walmart for like $20. It's good stuff.
i have keloids and i got dermatix gel, it works you should try it, i also use bio -oil. it reduce them in size and is no longer visable. u can also get cortisone shots , i have heard they can make your size keloids shrink to nothing in 2 months

Another natural remedy that I am also trying that is more powerful than that one is Baking soda with Hydrogen peroxide and it has also keep the keloids soft and under control.
From what I hear this works but you must be diligent in applying it every night or daily. You will notice the scar getting smaller and smaller over time. The surrounding skin that once was part of the scar will no longer be affected (scab) by the ACV. The ACV will bring the healed skin to its normal color but will continue to eat away at the scar. I just started using this and did notice a reduction in the size of my keloid.
Hey Bro watching your videos was inspiring to me as I suffer from keloid skin as well and have been seaching for successful treatments. What I have recently discovered is that there are several ways to treat them. A natural remedy you can try is applying apple cider mixed with vinegar on a cotton ball to it over night. If it irritates your skin you can dab the solution on it 3-5 times during the day. A scab will eventually form that would exfoliate off in the shower.
i only have one keloid. my doctor suggested rubbing cocoa butter on it. i bought a stick of pure cocoa butter and rubbed it on the keloid for awhile, and i think it flattened it out a bit. mind you, i started using the cocoa butter probably 5 years after the keloid formed. maybe if you start using it right away on the ones on your back, the wont get as big. love your videos, and your confidence. good luck man!
Great video !!! I have the same issue that you have with keloids on my cheeks. I took the shots then the surgery then the surgery + radiation. But lately i have been used Cordran tape which is working great for me. Kinda wish I would have done the Cordran tape and shots to reduce/remove my keloids. Then maybe the radiation treatment. Then surgery was expensive and didn't work well for me at all. Bro I really want to highlight the cordan tape in combination with what ever else you do.

But now I got one on the back of my head cause I recently had a cyst removed. To me my skin is weird Ive had piercings and cuts burns on certain areas of my body and that didnt keloid Oh Well Just gotta live with it. Oh. and you do look good jajaja.

I actually have keloids in the same place as you on my face on both sides, i guess they grew from razor bumps, but i also did the shot injections and they did not help any (Which hurt really bad). Im so lost i dont know wut to do my dermatologist said i shouldnt cut them becuz they will just grow back bigger. So the next step i might try is garlic oil on the face they say that might work. If you find out anything new please let me know n ill do the same if something works for me!
P.S im in college to but lucklily Im still covered under my parents insurance and Im 23, I thought they raised the age for insurance thats what my mother told me but it might be different in different places cuz im in louisiana..
@SlabbMuzickEnt how many times did you get the shots? you should take at least three at 6 week intervals. They do work. My mum's keloids flattened and I'm in the process of doing mine.

Hey, I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but in my own search to get rid of my keloids, which I've had for about 6 years now, I found some reviews online for this stuff called black keloid paste aka hei ba gao which is sold by The Jamu Shop. I decided to give it a try, and ordered it all the way from China, so it took a couple of weeks to get to me. I have to say that this is the one thing I've tried that has not been a waste of money.

@Kalinn1223 can you please tell me how long it took for you to see results, how big your keloid was and have you had it surgically removed/done steroid injections in them? I just got mine a few days ago (the Black Keloid paste) and the thing with snake oil (don't know what it's called), but I read that it takes longer to start to see effects if you've got it removed before and had injections because it forms more keloids but I'm really curious as to how long I'd have to stay optimistic. Thanks.

@0HJOANNNE Mine aren't completely gone, but I'd say I noticed some difference in about 10 days. Originally they were about the size of small marbles along my jaw. Not cool. I tried the injections earlier this year, and after 3 rounds of them they had gone down a lot. But they were still there. Very painful though, even with numbing cream. I can't afford to get additional injections. So I was looking for something more affordable, and that would be permanent.

Ya I have a keloid on back of ear lobe from Piercing. I had 3 surgeries on them and the keloid still grew back! So maybe it is a blessing that you did Got dropped from your moms insurance? I mean that was still NOT cool....

Also I received a hypertrophic scar on my face from a mole removal I did myself. I kind of anticipated the scar n it was a better trade. Instead of a Eraser end of a pencil sized Mole, I now have the same shape redish pimple scar. Lol. I guess its bitter sweet.

Ps: What kind of face wash do you use? The stuff is like Gold!

Cordran tape in combination with shots or the tea tree. I just wanted to mention it again to everyone since i have been though the surgery, shots, and radiation. The tape is like compression and Steroid mixed together. The bad thing is if you research it on the internet you won't find too much on it the only reason I know about it is a nurse told my dad about how his keloids went away.

Dude that freaking sucks about the health insurance. The American health system seems really unfair. Makes me really appreciate the NHS here in Britain. I don't have keloids but i do have a big ass hypotrophic scar from an operation I had. Like you said, I barely register it's even there until someone brings it up, which I don't really care about anyway cus it's just a scar and it cd be far worse ^^ You seem like a very genuine and cool dude. Also you'll be suprised how dermatologist will work with you if you have no insurance. Injections are a cheap quick(2-5min) procedure for them. My derm told me if i lose insurance just give him $60 every time i come and that will cover the cost of needles and kenalog.

I had and still have keloids on my face, although they're pretty much gone...i dont see peoples eyes wandering around my face when i speak with them. Injections really helped, kenalog 40 mg. I go to the dermatoligist every 2 weeks. Right away the itching stopped and after a few months you see a big differece. No insurance companies cover keloids, they consider it a cosmetic procedure, but for some reason they cover Acne, get your Derm to say its acne treatment and your covered.

Tea tree oil does not work. Well, it did not work for me. I have a large keloid on my shoulder and right ear lobe. The oil did not work. It devastated me :(

yeah shot bro, its cool seeing people that have the same things as you and being comfortable with it. my keloids r just really small ones behind my ears and have not been growing at all, this being said they still used to get me down and sometimes still do. everyone has their bad days. I have noticed recently that when i got chicken pox when i was younger i had keloids form on my cheek and stomach which i never noticed until now, and with time they have fully flattened and blended with my skin.

Your still an attractive guy, and there not that bad! I know this becuaze i have a small round keloid on my forehead. I had steroid shots at my local hospital (free cuz i live in the UK), and Im black so i have to be extra careful with my skin these days, but my keloid has flattened and im hoping it fades to the same colour as my skin........neways, Ur keloid actually aint that bad and there are loads of ppl out there who are going thru the same thing x

I know its old but I have a hard bump in each of my ears too and I dont think its keloids. Sometimes they get big about the size of a pimple and sometimes small to where u cant notice them.

yea! i agree with Maya. I have two keloids on my ears(one on each) and they have gotten bigger. now what i could try to do is clean my keloids daily like you do maybe that can reduce there size. so my question to u is what are you using on your face? what are you cleaning with?

I just wanted to say that you should be able to still be on your mom's insurance as long as you remain a full time student. I was able to stay on my parent's insurance until I graduated at 23. So I'm sure you would be able to do the same. GOOD LUCK :)

thing about keliod is that you can get one when ever the skin is broken some small and flat and some large and bumpy , you have to be very careful i had mine remove in 99 it wasnt that big but i got scractched during a fight and i have a large bumpy one on my cheast , and thre have ben times that i got cut and i didnt get one , so its crazy

Check with your mom again to see if the Insurance she has will cover you as long as you stay in school..Tell her to look a little deeper at the Insurance policy,and make sure you check with the County to see if they will cover this as well ,there is hope young man,I believe in God and he showed me the way and now it's my time to show and educate others like yourself..
I have a daughter that's 25 yrs.old she's fine but I also keep her updated as well

7 minutes ago There is help they can be remove but this is the problem if you go and have them removed it's a good chance they will come back,This is what I done if the laser doesn't work.....Find a good plastic surgeon with free consulation,make sure you find one that is willing not only to cut it out but send you to have radation done for five days straight..this will not return,if you can't afford a good surgeon try your county hospital..please I had this myself and it work!!

I had keloids that were removed and they never came back and then like an idiot i got my ears pierced and they started getting swollen and i took the earrings out and the swelling went away, then i got pregnant and i started to feel little knots forming where the old piercings were, the holes had closed years ago. Once i had the baby they went away completely...whew! Pregnant again and the knots started forming and got even bigger after i had the baby

hey man i have keloids also exactly where you have them, what my doc said about them is that it's scar tissue that dosen't stop growing . what i have done that is really working for me is that once a month i get a steroid shots on each keloid. after first session they are 70% gone! just giving some info on it since i had the same exact thing and experience with people and especially little kids! best wishes to you man!

Its good to see a guy talk ab their own skin. Some people always assume you have to be 'gay' to care or be concerned ab your skin. A man has got to look good for himself--no matter what his sexual preference is. Sometimes skincare issues CAN affect a persons esteem too. Anyway, I did notice that the scars have reduced in this video. Tea tree oil soap by Dr. Bronner Magic Soaps, raw Black Soap [use every other day] Apple Cider Vinegar [Half h20/Half ACV, sunscreen, and a moisturizer is good too.

I found Dr. Blaine's complete scar care treatment works really well on keloids, hypertrophic, acne and surgical scars. The treatment has a silicon gel-pad that you wear for 12 hours and then a liquid gel that you apply for the rest of the day. You can buy it at Longs Drug/CVS and Walmart for like $20. It's good stuff.

i have keloids and i got dermatix gel, it works you should try it, i also use bio -oil. it reduce them in size and is no longer visable. u can also get cortisone shots , i have heard they can make your size keloids shrink to nothing in 2 months

Another natural remedy that I am also trying that is more powerful than that one is Baking soda with Hydrogen peroxide and it has also keep the keloids soft and under control.

From what I hear this works but you must be diligent in applying it every night or daily. You will notice the scar getting smaller and smaller over time. The surrounding skin that once was part of the scar will no longer be affected (scab) by the ACV. The ACV will bring the healed skin to its normal color but will continue to eat away at the scar. I just started using this and did notice a reduction in the size of my keloid.

Hey Bro watching your videos was inspiring to me as I suffer from keloid skin as well and have been seaching for successful treatments. What I have recently discovered is that there are several ways to treat them. A natural remedy you can try is applying apple cider mixed with vinegar on a cotton ball to it over night. If it irritates your skin you can dab the solution on it 3-5 times during the day. A scab will eventually form that would exfoliate off in the shower.

i only have one keloid. my doctor suggested rubbing cocoa butter on it. i bought a stick of pure cocoa butter and rubbed it on the keloid for awhile, and i think it flattened it out a bit. mind you, i started using the cocoa butter probably 5 years after the keloid formed. maybe if you start using it right away on the ones on your back, the wont get as big. love your videos, and your confidence. good luck man!

Great video !!! I have the same issue that you have with keloids on my cheeks. I took the shots then the surgery then the surgery + radiation. But lately i have been used Cordran tape which is working great for me. Kinda wish I would have done the Cordran tape and shots to reduce/remove my keloids. Then maybe the radiation treatment. Then surgery was expensive and didn't work well for me at all. Bro I really want to highlight the cordan tape in combination with what ever else you do.

But now I got one on the back of my head cause I recently had a cyst removed. I got keloids on back-on my shoulder to be exactly- and I suggest you´ll see a doctor as soon you discover some- a good doctor will tell you what might could help and espacially which treatment wont help...
maybe try to get some silicone-based gel- I dont know if you can get it in the U.S.

I actually have keloids in the same place as you on my face on both sides, i guess they grew from razor bumps, but i also did the shot injections and they did not help any (Which hurt really bad). Im so lost i dont know wut to do my dermatologist said i shouldnt cut them becuz they will just grow back bigger. So the next step i might try is garlic oil on the face they say that might work. If you find out anything new please let me know n ill do the same if something works for me!

i notice that they got smaller too.you should really try tea tree oil on the new ones. i heard that it is easy to get rid of new keloids fast.

Keloids usually don't just show up at of nowhere. You might want to get the ones on your back checked out.

@pyeclam Your right, i had alot of cuts and scratches on my back in the past...so im guessing the scars might have keloided from that....but i'll get it checked out next time i seek professional help.
