@jfluter Thank you! You know, there are a bunch of adult skaters at my rink(s) now working on figures and we even have a figures competition here in Portland on occasion. You should ask your coach about figures - if your coach is too young to have done figures.... then ask another coach! Thank you for looking.
@gradycat I will have to do that, although I think all of the skating coaches at my rink are quite a bit younger than me (early 20s), they may be able to find some additional resources. Thanks!
As far as testing and competing go - yes - mostly. But you can still take the tests and there are some competitions so some of us are still doing them - a GREAT warmup and good for learning the details of the basics.
Nice! As an adult skater (Freestyle 1), I'd love to work on these!
