  • Y U NO BLINK!

  • In your video you used two different Brand cards ,one XFX , One Asus , WHY, How can a person make a comparson on using two XFX cards when one is a Asus ?? I wanted to see a review on two XFX HD6870 2GB Cards , Because thats what I thinking of buying. Do another review But do it right , apples to apples , Not apples to Oranges.

  • It looks like this guy is yelling at us... and looks very upset.

  • wat about 1 card ? still good ? lol my mobo cant have 2 :(

  • Is this crossfire solution better than the 7770 crossfire?

  • he never blink xD

  • @xander2290 he was IN THE ZONE!

  • hello i have a question i actually have an amd 6870 and i would like to go crossfire but many people told me that it has very bad micro stuttering .so i would like to know our experiences with crossfire.Sorry for bad englith

  • @popops3 i know a guy who runs two xfx 6870's i can ask him

  • What should I get ? Two 6950 or one 6970 ? Both from XFX, the 6970 as the xxx edition.

  • Hi Elric

I'm in kind of a predicament... i shall now explain

I'm setting up a gamming pc and i'm not shure if i should acquire a bulldozer fx 8150 with watercooling or a i5 or something like that... but that's not all

I don't know if i should buy 2 saphire radeon hd6850 2GB and crossfire them, or if i should use one HD6850 2gb in crossfire with a saphire hd6870 1gb, or if should just use 2 hd6870's... And wouldn't mixing up different cards affect the overall performance? thx and congrats!

  • @crostas92 And by the way, in portugal the price diference between the 2gb hd 6850 and the 1gb 6870 is about 20 euros...some people say that much amount of memory will never be fully used, others say it pays out to have that amount of memory, so this leads me to believe that crossfireing the two of them would be for the best but that doubt about compatibility issues still remains... perhaps u could make a video for this

thx for reading and congrats on this great project of yours ;D

  • @crostas92 i suggest you go with an intel i5 2500k along with a single 6950 and a mobo like the asus p8 z68 gen 3 along with a good powerful psu something around 800watts and a good pc case such as the corsair 500r

  • thank for tips on the 6850 crossfire

  • Y U KNO LYK BLEENK ?

  • will the i3 2120 @3.3 bottleneck a CF HD6850? :S

  • crossfire 6850 is beast, to bad some of my favorite games wont support it so im getting a 6950 2gb!

  • @nukeclears how to do you know what games dont support it?

  • BLINNKKKKKK Every video i've seen by these people, he doesn't F******* BLINK

  • high Elric is high! ... blink dammit! FUCKING BLINK! XD

  • Will the Phenom II x4 960T @ 3.9Ghz bottleneck a CS HD6850?

  • @WertzOne maybe but i doubt it, im sure it will be just fine

  • @WertzOne No. My 960T barely gets to 40-50% usage with a single 6850.

  • I want to find a package deal for 2 cards in one buy

  • @nipp12v yepp

  • is it possible to overclock crossfire?

  • This is exactly the kind of review for this chipset I was looking for.

    Thank you SO much.

  • new drivers will give you 47fps in uniengine at 1920 by 1200

  • @helloimclaudio Ok how about an fx-8150? Its got like 8 not full cores, iam kind of uneasy of buyin this psu. But 600 watts is enough right?

  • Can ya show..how to wire them in CrossFire mode?.... cause i do plan on using 4 Graphics cards....and need to see how to wire them together...thanks

  • @ChevySoloX hi, I've been looking into this, have you found any information/instructions towards connecting three or more??

  • @ieatpeephole well somebody told me that... some cards have 2 crossfire connectors you have to purchase the right kind of card for that then you daisy chain the connectors if you only use 2 with cards that have multiple crossfire bridges you link both bridges together..and thats pretty much it...

  • @ChevySoloX Damn... I've been looking at cards rampantly to find ones that specify the number of connectors but no luck so far :(

I've noticed (perhaps incorrectly) that the sapphire brand ones don't seem to.

Can you give me a shout if you hear anything?

  • @ieatpeephole Yea ill tell ya if i find anything else out..on the cards....

  • @ieatpeephole you dont need multiple crossfire bridges linking graphics cards. you can get by with one. and by get by i mean you can.

  • @fataxe1 thanks man :)

  • Is a Corsair CX600 Watt PSU good enough for just one video card and 5 fans?

  • Comment removed

  • @PSNChiko Yeah, i have a OCZ ZS 650w running 3 fans and one 6850, and i have plenty of head room, i can even add a 2nd 6850 with my power supply. Fans take very little wattage, less than 10w each, porbably like 8w if they are big fans with led's each.

  • @PSNChiko yup

  • i want your job

  • @MrDavidHarper Stupid little english ^^

  • @MrDavidHarper Don't we all.....

  • awesome

  • Comment removed

  • He's a shifter..lol

  • Is a 430w psu enough for one 6850?

  • @xDoofalicious If you're not overclocking anything, you should be fine. For those who tell you it won't be enough, you can argue that your system isn't going to be under 100% load 24/7.

  • always kickass metal bands in the background. LUV IT

  • 6850 CF or 6950(2gb)?

  • @EEEEwout depends 6850cf if you already have one 6850 but then you're done you can't upgrade after 2 and yes 6850CF has higher fps then 6950, and 6970, but with 6950 you can flash to 6970, so if you want a 6950 means that you might upgrade later to crossfire, or 6850 if you're never gonna upgrade again, but if u cf 6950 you can like cf 2 6970 if u flash both so its definitely worth it to get 6950, but you want highest fps you can get right away go 6850 CF

  • @EEEEwout Crossfire is better than a gtx 570, so yes, get the 6850 crossfire, they beat ass

  • @ElementalDearth Crossfire 6850 is at the leased on par with the GTX 580 and at the most a bit better than GTX 580.

  • @EEEEwout Dont attempt to flash the 6950, usually doesnt work out very well. Just get the 6850's, great performance

  • @EEEEwout If you're from North America, NCIX has Powercolor and XFX 6850 cards for $120/each before tax.

  • Can someone help me ??? I have the Radeon hd 6870 crossfire, but its like if only one of the cards is working?? the working one is at like 60 degrees celsius and the other one is at "idle" 30 degrees celsius!! heeelp! """ Am using 2 screens in separate cards""" Sry for my bad english! HELP!

  • Well this is intersting, we seen a Graph Chart, did anybody actually see the actually working ? hear it run ?? how loud the unit is !!! I have, I have 1, and its going back to the retailer tomorrow, its junk ! fancy packaging, fancy graphics, lotta show & tell, but I've yet too see any of these Reviewers fire one up and actually use it or let us hear it, must be a reason for that huh ?

  • @JetRanger0007 alot of us done care about how loud it is tbh. Seems like u have a pet peeve about noise. I have 1 but i have the AsusEAH6850. Might want to look into that one.

  • XFX ATI 6950 2 GB VS ASUS ATI 6950 2 GB ....

  • in your benchmarks, was that with single screen?

  • will a seasonic 500w be anought for crossfire?

cpu will be or q9400 or ill upgrade to phenom II 955.

    3 fans installed

    dvd rom.

    500GB WD HARDRIVE

will i need to upgrade my PSU?

  • @TaiopS yea i actually have the rig and mine actually broke own from a 650W processor, the Antec Earth watts (purple box) so one 6850 requires 500w so u definitely need an upgrade, to a 650 enthusiast power supply, or 750w power supply for anything because 600 is enough to power 2 6850 but not everything else so it doesn't work.

so i got a TX850M Corsair and now it runs perfectly.

  • His head. It reminds me of newegg.... Its fucking awesome!

  • Im getting the same thing by Christmas but with double XFX HD6850 with 2 fans. Thanks for the vid. Helps me to setup:)

  • umm i am the nobiest of them all so can i ask do you need two pcie slots to use both gfx cards?

  • @pagiethecodplayer yes you would need to have two pcie connectors to connect two cads

  • Be mi new DAD :D

  • How about both of these compared to a single Asus 6970?

  • Comment removed

  • i wanna staring contest against u :O

  • Do you have glass eyes?

  • blink damn you!

  • @kramer145 lol

  • @kramer145 He have gamer sindrom he was playing so much and so hard and concentrate so well taht his lost that basic reflex and hi can't blink :)

  • imagine two 6950 2 gigabytes edition in crossfire! Wow!

  • @sungmachine Thats what most people use and it destroys anything

  • i dare ya to blink!

  • if you got 2 6850's and you put em in crossfire , does that mean you get 1 13700 ?

  • will this be able to play battlefield 3?

  • @jj2997 crossfire maxed, single card will probably run high

  • @legoman3342 A single HD6870 can run BF3 at ultra with 55fps at 1080 :)

  • @GamerSpaceHD yeah after i made this comment i kept my research and then i realized shit i was wrong lol

  • will an antec truepower quattro 850w run a crossfire of 2 6850's

  • will it work with intel

  • wath psu i need for 2 hd 6850??

  • @12345samaniegos min 550W

  • @12345samaniegos I've got 2 xfx 6850 black editions with a xfx 650 watt psu works just fine. They don't consume that much power.

  • @AnticRecovery hi man, I wanna install CF on mu pc, I have an xfx HD 6870 right now and wanna buy one more, I want to ask you what more do I need beside the two GPUs to install crossfire?....I got a 700 watt psu.

  • @Julgun24 Hey, If you have a crossfire motherboard and crossfire bridge connector your good to go man. Your psu should be ok too as long as you have enough 6pin power connectors or molex to 6pin adaptors. Your gonna luv the performance increase you will get with those two cards. Now Im on the Battlefield 3 beta and they added some ultra settings to it and its still smooth. Good Luck!

  • @AnticRecovery So if I have a 650W PSU powercooler it will work fine?

  • @megadog103 Yeah I've had no problems at all with my xfx 650watt 80% efficiency.

  • @AnticRecovery thanks for the info i got one black edition imma get second one soon btw i got 675 watt psu

  • @levski221 Nice! you'll be very happy with the performance gain.

  • @AnticRecovery

    How much microstutter is there?

  • @Edge0fPain Absolutely None! Battlefield 3 plays on ultra in 1080p avg 60-70fps smooth as hell. Mw3 maxed no problem ...not that it should be. Crysis 2 with the dx11 pack no problem too with crossfire. Also Previous owner of 2 9800 gx2's and I remember the microstutter at first on crysis.

  • @AnticRecovery

Excellent! That's just what I wanted to hear :)

one final question, when overclocking in Crossfire is it best to have both cards at the same clock speeds?

  • @Edge0fPain Yes, Let say you bought one card factory overclocked and the other at stock speed, they will both default to stock speed automatically. You can just overclock the slower one to the same speed though too. Hope that Helps

  • @AnticRecovery

    OK, thanks

  • @AnticRecovery ehh.. how woulda 600 watt work? i already have 1 6850 but i wanna get another...

  • @WoWkiddymage As long as its a fairly new high quality power supply u should be ok.

  • @AnticRecovery ITS A CORSAIR GS 600?

  • @WoWkiddymage Yep...I think you'll be fine depending on how fully loaded your pc is. But thats a great power supply.

  • @AnticRecovery i would need to upgrade for an oced i5 2500k huh? and if i so what PSU would you recommend? forthat about 16 gb 1600mhz ram and the two 6850s?

  • @WoWkiddymage I personally think youll be ok with that setup. :)

  • @AnticRecovery how much is needed for 2x 6870s?

  • @mrbest20 A good 750 watt would be a safe bet

  • Hey is a Seasonic 620W,a pair of these 6850's crossfire,AMD Phenom 2 965 3.4Ghz 64Bit Quad Core AM2+/AM3 Black Edition Tray,Corsair 4GB Single Stick DDR3-1333 will go on games like Crysis 2,BFBC2,MW3,BF3,Metro 2033?

  • @AosaBid only one 6850 will max thoose games two 6850 will make it go crazy smooth

  • @Kharllang Really?

I can run with a pair of 6850's Metro 2033 on the highest settings? And BF3 on ultra? That would rock my socks.thanks for helping me out looks like I know what I would be getting...

  • @AosaBid The 6850 is the recommended GPU for BF3, the E3 demo was running on a GTX 580. CF 6850s should be fine hough as they're about equal to a 580. Also if you're referring to the Seasonic M12II-620w then yes, that thing can even run CF 6950s.

  • @Polymerabbit Oh wow thanks.

So 2 6850s can run battlefield 3 on ultra settings right?

    AWESOME!

How long do you think an amd phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz and 6850s will survive to the point they can barely run games on lowest settings?Because well my computer is in half a year 6 years old and it kinda ran all games on lowest settings until about 3 months ago...

  • @AosaBid The GPUs should last you at least 4 years before that point, it all depends on how powerful the next gen of consoles are really. The Phenom II, well its already an old processor - great value, but it won't last as long as the GPUs. If your budget allows it get the 2500K, even ditch the second 6850 for it. Its cheaper to add a second GPU down the track than it is to upgrade CPU + MoBo.

1 6850 will still get you good frames in BF3, but with 2 you'd probably never dip below 60fps.

  • @AosaBid Yes, a single 6850 would kill most of those games except for bf3 and metro 2033. If you're crossfiring get atleast 650w though.

  • @ElementalDearth Kinda late...I save more money and got a better rig containing:I5 2500K,GTX560 TI which I will add another one in like a few months,8 GB ram and a seasonic 750W.

I hope this rig will last me for like 3-4 years of running games on high-meduim+.

  • @ElementalDearth Hrm, I dunno. I was playing ultra settings on the beta with an AMD Radeon 6850 (single) and it ran quite well. The only time I had issues was during high-scale battles with lots of gunfire. This was on a server with 64 people, jets in the air, helicopters in the air, etc. I was getting about 40 fps. I am estimating to get at least 60 fps with 2x amd radeon 6850 under heavy player activity at ultra.

  • @AosaBid You'll wanna get two. One will not max out crysis 2 with the dx11 upgrade and Metro 2033. At the first parts of game it will then they get more intense. The other games should be fine. My system specs are Phenom II x4 @3.5ghz, 16gbs gskill sniper ram 1600mhz, 2 xfx 6850 Black editions in crossfire x, x-fi Fatality card and a Killer 2100 nic card

  • I'm having a Cooler Master Silent Pro M600 600W. I want to upgrade my PC to AMD Phenom X6 1100 and crossfire HD6850. I don't know if my PSU can handle 2 HD 6850s or not. Please answer me guys. Thanks a lot !

  • how much Watts you need at PSU for crossfire hd 6850 ?

  • @MegaGamerRO about 500 watt should keep that up.

    140 watt x2 (6850)

around 140-150watt on motherboard+cpu+Ram (unless you have it overclocked)

500 will keep it up, but I suggest a cable managed PSU on 600+, with suport for multiple graphic cards.

  • i read somewhere on one of the forms that ATI cards run smoother and better with AMD and that Nvidea works better and smoother with intel and that when you switch the line up your not getting the full performance is that true

  • @nanashi1o3 no that isnt true amd and nvidia run good and intel and ati (amd) too

  • @johannes19969 ah alright thank you i was just wondering

  • hey im planning to build a pc with these specs to play BF3 on highest settings.

    AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0ghz

    Sapphire 6870 1gb

    8gb ram

    650w PSU

Will these specs run BF3 on the highest settings? FPS estimates?

  • @lourke123 well it is kinda hard to give you answers because BF3 is not out yet and you don't say anything about what resolution you will run at but i think that you will get between 30-40 fps at 1920x1080 at highest settings but it is only a guess and if it was my pc i would go for the AMD Phenom II X4 955 instead of the Athlon but it's your choice

  • @MacTravisGaming ohh ok. I might just get the phenom II X4 840 3.2ghz with a 20" screen. Will this do better?

  • @lourke123 if you have to choose between the Athlon 640 and Phenom 840 then just go with the Athlon since the performance increase is so little regarding the screen everything is fine

  • @lourke123 more than likly i have pretty much that exact setup jsut i have a 965 black edition. and im blowing thourgh games like no other usually like 80fps+ in BFBC2

  • @IgotGreens101 Well, i kind of changed my specs a lil bit. Tell me what you think.

    965 Black Edition

    Sapphire 6950 1gb

    4gb

    600w

  • Respond to this video... 4gb Ram

  • @lourke123 are you saying same setup just 4gbs of ram......?????????? kind of confusing when you just say "respong to this video....4gbs of ram" like what does that even mean? .....if so then you not be able to run max

  • @IgotGreens101 I have the same setup as you and I get 120fps stable on bfbc2!

  • @lourke123 dude with that cpu you wont go that far ..i expect 15-20 fps at max settings at 1080p

  • hey all :) this maybe a silly thing to ask but can i use 2x ATI Radeon 6850 1028MB GDDR5 in crossfire ? with a 800w psu ?

  • @Amy01223 yes you can easily use a 800w psu for 2 6850

  • Does Crossfire require two of the same cards or can you use a two different ones?

  • @Pvivid the cards has to have the same gpu so a 6850 will only work in crossfire with another 6850 and so on

  • i' ve got i5 2500k @4.8GHZ + 2x 6850 and my psu is XFX XXX 650W

  • Fuck fear drink beer.

  • In the box it says crossfire ready but i need to know for sure Cuz In bestbuy web page there is a report that it says that it cant crossfire

  • I need help i have a Visiontek - ATI Radeon 5670 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card and i need to know if i can crossfire it becuase it has 2 plugs but i dont know if there for crossfire and if they are which do i use

  • The men who never blinks

  • @xXDJTIMTOMXx you can see he gets teary towards the end of the vid haha

  • @xXDJTIMTOMXx you know hes not lying then :P

  • Would overclocking these be safe? Or would it be just too hot..

  • how does crssfire work is it just a case of putting two of the exact same cards in a pc?? thx in advance

  • If i use a AMD Phenom 2 X6, will running these cards Crossfire be bottlenecking at all?

  • @Urmomzface It shouldn't, no.

  • i have one 6850 8gigs ram and an intel i5 750 running on 350w...

  • @jonas9009 Yeah, it'll run on idle but remember that when you put load on components, they consume more power. You may find that you are actually damaging your components by doing that, especially if the power supply isn't of good quality.

  • will my 600W CoolerMaster PSU handle HD6850 crossfire ???

  • @trinious2511 yes.

  • @L0ll13M1X : thanks mang

  • @trinious2511 yes

  • If it takes 600W you need a 700-750W continuous... The over head removes the jitter and static from the wall and makes your computer last longer...

  • I'm In Love with 6850 now :D

  • HELP ME. can anyone HELP me??

should i buy dual GTX 570 sli or dual HD 6970 cf

    and WHY?

  • @kulpreetg Dual 6870 cause its cheaper and handle everythin u throw at it.. i've used geforce and crashed every time.. went to amd and the heavens smiled at me.. they said.. good job son.. good job.. to me 6970 is overkill and costly .... dual 6870 crossfire and ur good to go.. :)

  • @kulpreetg buy 2 guns.

  • @cribblebibble lol. that's the best advice i've gotten so far, why didn't i think of that before

  • So whats better now that 6790's are out?

  • Got 2 powercolors for 300$

  • Love your vids MAN :)

  • With 500W PSU I will be able to do a CrossFire of 6850?

  • @SCPGabriel no, newegg has a calculator on their website thats pretty usefull. Check it out on neweggs website under power supplies.

  • ITS A WINNING COMBINATION :D bet yia charlie sheen saw this video and thought he would steal his expression :D

  • i got two of these bad boys

  • how big of a PSU u need for 2 x 6850s??

  • @johnb32xq about 700 watt
