Supposably there are two kinds of ganguro...

One is an based off an over exaggeration of a California girl and on is based of of a panda. An example of the panda , i think, is at 3:42

Gyaru means bad girl, and is a general term for the modern japanese girl that doens't want to conform to the strict japanese culture. And from that comes the sub-styles of ganguro, mamba, hime, yamamba and bamba (I think that's what it is called.) Yamamba is the most extream form of gyaru, its the extreamly dark skin and the over the top makeup like the panda look with a eyes, the white lips and the white streak down the nose.
