Harry Patch, died yesterday he was the last living Veteran to have endured the slaughter of Paschendale. He never spoke of it for 80 years. He is now immortalised through his story and poems of that experience in his young days, enduring the horrors of WW1. Harry passed away aged 111, rest easy soldier

This song by Alan Brydon who performs with his band called Soarsa. It is NOT an anti war song. It is to remember the Scottish Soldiers who died during WW1 in Flanders. The commemoration and unveiling of the new Scottish memorial monument was in August 2007. How do I know this?. I was a fundraiser for the Scottish Monument and I was in Flandersn for the unveiling and dedication to fallen Scots
