Pretty creative matrix man, I love talking old school NBA. Hardly anyone around that truly understands it, or takes it into account. Have you listed Franchise teams for the top 10-15 teams? Keep up the good work man, I like how scientifically you approach this subject, not many people do.
Best basketball player ever: Hakeem the Dream Olajuwon, simply because he is the most skilled defensive and offensive player of all time, you don't get better than that.
You have to see that some players are carried by the media (Kobe was already in the 2nd NBA team and in the All-star and defense team of the year averagin no more than 20 Pts)and guys like Kirilenko that averaged 3stls and 3blks per game led the league in blks and making several game with 10 blocks and 7 steals didnt get the defensive player of the year or the defensive team....
Good method but (all-star selections are made not to get the best players but the ones who make more showtime) Vcarter is not good but he was there all the time Injured players like GHILL /IVERSON were there all the time, YAO MING suprises and TURKOGLU orlando star and go to guy didnt made it (Rlewis made it??)...
MVP All-Star games its a fun game nobody or almost nobody is playing for real...
Dr J and RBarry are still better than LJAMES, they were MVP contenders every single season, they played their best years in the ABA...But during their time they were like LJAMES and KOBE are today...
the all time assists leader for a forward...the career leader for steals in the playoffs...a finalists for the 50 greatest players of all time list...the most dominant perimeter defender in NBA history ...a top five player of his era...a player, who according to Phil Jackson, had the highest basketball IQ of any player he ever coached...one of the most complete, all around players in the history of the game... that's "WHO" Scottie Pippen was... lagosdre, do your research before you pop off...
All time leader for a forward in assists????SO that only means that he played more seasons this days guys like KOBE and LJAmes are getting up on the charts cause the started their carrers with 18 years old (more seasons more stats) ThAT doesnt mean he was the best passer (bird averaged a lot more assists than Pippen)...
Rick barry led the league in assist aswell...He was a 90% Ft shooter led the league in PTS and went tho the finals then moved to the ABA..he averaged several time more than 30 Pts he an the DR are HOF and are also on the 50 best players list ...IQ?PHil never coach this guys...all time leader that just means that he played more games cause Bird averaged a lot more assist than Pippen...
as great a pure scorer as Barry was, he wasn't the all around player that Pippen was...you keep harping on the offensive stats and the fact that Barry and DR J played in the ABA... the latter was a choice by both DR J and Barry...they where both willing to play in a lesser league for more money...that was their choice and subsequently sabotaged their own stats...too bad greed got in the way...but again, Pippen's legacy gets overshadowed because everyone was so busy worshiping MJ...
I probably wont have time to watch all 4 parts today but i bet you didnt add 2 more NBA MVP's and an NBA finals MVP to Wilt.
Let me explain,Wilt didnt get an NBA MVP award in the 62' and 63' season when he got 50ppg and 45ppg and that in my opinion is apsurd and should be counted as his acievments.
In those times players voted who will win the nba mvp award, thats probably why he didnt got it.
NBA finals mvp should also be counted from 67' couse it didnt existed and if it did Wilt would got it.
Yeah man i know my ranking system isn't perfect so it needs some tweaks. I personally think Wilt is top 3 micheal jabar than wilt, then magic then russell then Shaq then bird then olajuwon, then kobe then oscar then west. Those are the top 11 for me in that order.

If Kobe Bryant had a 50 ppg scoring in a season today they would imediately give the nba mvp award to him for example.

Well then we agree,as i said in my previous post Wilt should be on anyones top 3 list. Some would even rank Wilt 1st ,i rank him 2nd.

It just depends how a person looks on someones greatness.
Yes your system isnt perfect but its also not a bad idea. 5 stars for the effort.

You should spread this system on twitter. You would also get more people that would subscribe to you from there as well.
