Thank you so much, finally a medical professional who knows what's going on! I'm showing my family and friends all of these so they can understand. I'm 1 month into 2-3 year withdrawal from paxil after 10 years stuck on it. It is totally evil buisness. Don't believe the pharma psych hype! You will most likely regret it.
It's very interesting how, when a patient enters a a psychiatrist's or psychologist's office and describes his or her symptoms, he or she is taken very seriously as perfectly able to describe their symptoms accurately, and the prescribed treatment is made on the basis of the persons self description.
But once they are "in therapy" nothing they say is taken seriously ever again and every report they make is viewed as distorted by the diagnosis of psychosis or neurosis put on them.
@SilverRedIndigo Word. Why would any "sane" person use the self report of a "mentally Ill" person on which to base their diagnoses? That doesn't sound like a very sound methodology. But then again, there is a no real science behind psychiatry/psychology. They''re like "Economists" - everything they spew as Absolute Truth is pure speculation and biased opinion. We're better off using diet, lifestyle, herbs & vitamins to feel better. Eliminate the root Cause, don't chase symptoms around with Dope.
The Pharmaceutical companies should be shut down, and charged with probably millions of different damaging cases.

@rpower10 You were stupid enough to stay on it for 10 years... try doing some research about shit you're putting into your body next time.

That is just one of the problems—the 'drug industry' wants
to control what the patient takes. No money to make when
the patient is well.
