  • @Awol0313 2 years! Long time. But there was a film like this that I always liked with Jimmy McNichol (Kristy's bro) joining a cult and his family trying to get him out of it. It was called "Blinded by the Light" from around 1980. I remember watching it several times in the 80s and maybe early 90s. Always liked it. would LOVE to see it again. anyway, is that it?

  • @vainhunter The movie is released on DVD but unforuntatly it's poor quality and cut.

  • @vainhunter you want to see the original 2 part 4 hour film, that one is based more on words and times of the actural facts and death tapes/

Jonestown: The Life and Death of Peoples Temple

its called and its a very powerfull film, if you read up on wiki, deathtapes from transcript, tim stoen, the mayer of san dransico and the ellections and Leo Ryan. Aswell please read the San Diego State University studies made. Remember film are never objective and most of the time been romanticised

  • is this a good movie? i have not seen it.. i have only heard the song "Guyana Cult Of The Damned" by Manowar and have been interested in it, but no video shop has this movie

  • Yes Amohanga1, this is a movie (based on a true story).

I have heard good comments about it, but I have not seen this film either.

I have tried to get it, but I only found this triller.

  • @arturianogo Yes, I want to see this movie, too. I'm particularly fascinated with Jonestown & the PT, & the DVD looks very appealing to me, from what I've heard people say about it.

  • it used to be on hbo all the time in the old days. its bad/good. i mean its funny and exploitative. its available on netflix, but they changed the title to "guyana crime of the century"

  • @capacola262743 Available on Netflix? This I gotta see! *rushes off to do so*

  • Well, it doesn't totally mesh with the facts- if you see it, you'll know what I mean...specifically around the fate of Sharon Amos. HOWEVER...it is a decent film, and the first time I saw it, it kind of scared the crap out of me!

The evil that men do with they have a calling and feel like they have a right to lead others!

  • @andell1 You are absolutely right. I agree with you wholeheartedly. *nods head*
