Something that is special about Baligh's music is that it gives you goose pumps. His music makes you drift away to another dimension. So if you have a conversation, or you are planning on reading a book while listening to Baligh, then good luck, he'll get you very occupied for as long as he is playing. He was drastically different than all other Arabian musicians in his era. Not only was he a good musician, he was also extremely productive. Thanks for sharing, Oudproff.

Thanks spartason for sharing those thoughts with us about Baligh Hamdi. Although there were other unique musicians at his times, I think Baligh left a long lasting mark of versatility, composing to Om Kalthoum, Warda, Samira Saeed and others too. He also sang, and played the oud wonderfully. So yes, he was unique indeed.
