  • I love everything. I like underground and mainstream. But all my friends do is talk about Skrillex -_- Seriously....he is ok and all but there is more. That is ALL they listen to. Pisses me off

  • Dallas rave seen is here bro! Afterlife is a joke!!! Insomina,Lizard lounge,Ph,Privado....Etc Try one!

  • @LightShowStar Those locations are more "club" based. They do play dance music, but this video is more towards building the rave scene, than just places that blast edm.

  • great video trancerckr :)

  • Parties were successful in the 90s because people weren't telling each other about it on Facebook.

In the Mid90s, raves were discreet, small, never more than 100 people in attendance, and always off in the middle of nowhere. (Too young to be a 90s raver, quoting my hubby next to me)

There's just too many of us now. And raves have gained horrible publicity with the overdose horror stories the media has played up.

But dude, this video is super win. Mad props. ::Brofist::

  • 7:30 was great lol

I'd love it if you got a real rave going again. I don't wanna go to Lizard Lounge or Zouk, because I know it's going to be nothing but tools and people who are going to judge you. Even the deadmau5 concert was kind of reserved because there were people there who only knew like two of the songs and stood there awkwardly.

  • You deserve a fucking medal. Afterlife was my second home, and now that edm has gone mainstream, even that had hat its impact on afterlife. now that its gone, we've lost the only link to the scene we had left in dallas. RIP.

  • Dude u deserve a fuckin medal! I agree with everything u jus said and I want in cuz ur rite we need 2 bring it back and how good it use 2 b. I have sum mixes I would love 2 spin and I kno sum other local djs that would want in as well.

  • also, this guy right here is my husband. We met because of afterlife. Another reason it is so special. He was shattered when Afterlife shut down...it was the only place we were at peace. once again, RIP Afterlife. You will be forever be in our hearts.

  • hell yes trance. I really couldn't have said it better myself!

  • Right on man as a founding raver of afterlife as one who got it started let the kids go kill the scene at the lizard lounge and let the true ravers move on with the scene the way we know how! There are always ways to have our scene!

  • Dude I totally agree with you because I live in Dallas also and the rave seen is dying dramatically. It was a lot better last year before all this LMFAO shit started playing on the radio -__-;

  • Took the words out of my mouth :)

  • Krunk Mob.

  • I couldn't believe how "mainstream" electronic music is becoming and I couldn't agree with you more. Houston is loosing the true nature of the scene too. Everywhere now its all a huge commercial production, even some places are advertising them on TV?? What is that??? That is NOT what this was suppose to be about. My first party was in a tiny little warehouse that a hundred people were crammed into dancing and sweating until the sun came up. What happened to that? What happened to the scene

  • i couldnt agree with you more!!!! unfortunatley in my opinion the scene cant and will never be the same as it once was.... :/ parties will get shutdown no matter where ya have em due to all the bad publicity it has recieved..... only option is to take the scene back to the desert!!!!

  • Houston's scene is SHIT...take it from a 15 year vet of the bullshit here in H-town...don't know who you have talked to, but this place is so far in the shitter it is becoming ridiculous...If you like Dubshit, then we got you covered...Trance, House and all the REAL originals are forgotten...

  • Everything you just said here is totally right. Don't let the scene die, make it better than it is right now. Screw all the mainstream "raver kids" who are only in it because of the radio, and whatnot. Make raving about what it should be about. Having a good time, listening to bad ass music, and making friends. Not just sit in your butt and not do anything about it.

  • I agree so much. Most people only know any of the music, and shuffle because of the stuff on the radio. You can thank LMFAO for the shuffling thing...

  • I totally agree I said something close to this in a video not to long ago. You have to be the change you want to see. :) We need more people like you in the scene <3

  • This pretty well sums up a lot of what I've been thinking about lately.

Honestly, a huge part of the reason I moved to Dallas (other than UTD) was to get further involved in the rave scene.

I love what I found when I first discovered it.

    It was amazing.

But now, as you've said, it's full of all this Top 40 shit and all these people who think they know what the scene is about because they know who Skrillex or LMFAO is.

    I support this entirely.

    "Holy shit, little dog."

  • @lhpxiii yup nothing against skrillex himself my friends have met him hes apparently super nice, but what his music has done to the scene makes me sad phrases like " dubstep is a type of techno" or "duuude skrillex is the best, cuz he makes dubstep, good dubstep not that crap with no drop" makes me wanna jump off a bridge into a shallow pond... filled with alligators

  • agree 100%, only thing i would say is that asking how to thow an illegal party may have been a bit much but still over all amazing video

  • @xbadkaraokex Agreed. I posted this on a site, and told people if I need to remove this video I will. It was just faster to upload this onto YT
