HOW did you make it WASD?

I've been trying to do the same with a Platformer as the character type but he only moves like an inch.

you can change the button setup if you highlight the application in the workspace and look in the properties tab

Eh, Rpg maker VX uses the same sprites and in general can be used to make the same game. Not to mention VX can be free if your not a dumb noob.
