I agree. His markings specifically say (in French of course), "straight forward with absolutely no rubato." The French impressionist composers generally put very specific interpretative instructions in their scores, so it's best to use a dictionary to check them if you can't read French. Still beautiful playing nonetheless.
poulenc would not be happy with those rubatos!!
