this phone feels rock solid, and is very well designed! hatsoff nokia on the hardware. on the software side, Nokia has to buckle up and do some much needed work. android is the biggest competitor and they have some really cool stuff

@selayg90 my friend has e 75 it's pretty cool device to use but you have to flip everytime u need to use the qwerty keyboard if u don't have a problem with that then get it ... and another thing the e75 has only a 3.2 megapixel camera while the e72 has a 5 MEGAPIXEL one ,, So it's ur choice if you don't use the camera so much then get the e75 it's a pretty decent phone XD

already have the E72 & I am delighted w/ its features but I'm very upset with its quality. just bought the phone 3 days ago & I noticed some defects already (sometimes the indicator light indicates that you have a new message even if there's none, sometimes some keys are not functioning correctly, it hangs/lag seldomly and you must press the power botton too long just to turn on the phone). It SUCKS because it is a brandnew 3 day old phone and that flaws are happening alredy. anybody frm NOKIA?

@0501701 No it doesn't - this phone has a 600mhz processor so it's actually quite jiffy when loading software. The only let down is that it runs on Symbian tends to be quite buggy.

the optical pad will defintiely be better in the browser and looking at documents..but seems pretty useless in navigating menues. ijust pressing the arrow buttons seems more practical than having to gauge how fast to swipe your thumb just to move down one space.

the e71 is amazing though. this could easily be the exact same phone, just with an updated body and a faster UI and i would be happy.

There is only one E71 on the market. Though there is the E63 (I believe) which is a kind of a E71 light. The E71 is a lot slimmer than the E63, but the E63 also came with a 3,5mm jack and was more directed towards younger people as a 'social networking' phone. The E71 was therefor more of a smartphone than the E63. The E72 is the new E71.

Michael, I'm very surprised you didn't say its design is a combo of the E63 and E71, because that's really what it is, I think. The hard lines at the top were also present on the E71 too. I also think that the optical mouse really shines inside the web browser given that seems to be the one place its really needed. Does the keypad feel any bigger compared to the E71?
