Compared to my Bugeye Rib Case box. . I have much less end play going on. . just a very small amount. I would say less than half of yours. My guess on it anyway that best to re-do the bearings since you have it all apart. . being on the safe side type of thing. Hopefully some others will join in and give you some good advice.
