Ok, heres my question:

"Ask away" is a phrasal verb, can you tell me what "away" makes to the verb? i mean the meaning, for example speak up means speak lourder, "up" is to increase, but then ask away? lol

Haven't you ever heard of the phrase "ask away"? So, my answer is don't spend your day analyzing american phrases because you won't figure it out. An English colloquialism is to add "away" to certain verbs as a type of imperative command.

"Ask away" means to "Ask your question."
