  • The Iraq war has cost $1.09 trillion so far, the health care plan may cost the same but will save rather than end lives.

Job losses were rising dramatically under Bush, this trend has reversed under Obama despite the recession.

Obama will end Bush's massive tax cuts for the ultra-rich (>200k), which had no stimulating effect on the economy (models show cuts for the middle class much more economically stimulating). This will save $700 billlion over 10 years.

    Obama bad for the economy?

    No

  • @deadbabytv Oh please, on the contrary, quality health care is going for a nose dive, you obviously haven't read the bill. Truth is, even before the bill, everyone who needed care got it.

That trend has not reversed, and don't forget about Congress. The economy hummed along fine until Dems took Congress in 2006. Nice try.

If he cuts the Bush cuts, the economy will tank. You must be a public employee.

  • You see the new Bean ad???? She's trying to paint Walsh as radical. Using the same strategy as Dan Seals. I swear I'll have to move to DuPage County if Dan Seals wins my congressional seat.

  • Pro-Life all the way man 100%!!!!

  • Amen.

  • Joe, don't forget the military is also bankrupting us. I'm seeing Republicans promising to fund and expand the wars. Instead of putting our troops in harms way for no good reason, I hope you have the sense not to follow in our cowardly politician's war mongering path. If you can promise to vote against our global military empire and bring our troops home to actually defend this country you will have my vote.

  • @limitedgovt999 I can't say I disagree with you except on one point, we do not have a global military empire. Yes we have bases stationed around the world at the request of the countries we are in, and most of those are strategic in nature, it is NOT a military empire.

Regarding Afghanistan and Iraq it's time to bring our troops home. The nations will have to stand or fall on their own.

  • @weneedmccain Yes, at the request of the governments, not the people of those nations.

  • @narutofan1108

Yes, exactly, the people of those countries don't want us there but the politicians who are paid off sure do.

Just like we don't want Obamacare but hey look, we got it, good and hard.

  • @limitedgovt999 It's a shame that seemingly intelligent people don't seem to understand that "defending this country" requires more than stationing all our military assets on our borders and waiting for an invasion to occur....

  • @marklross2 Having those stations increase the chance of an invasion in the first place, or at least a form of blowback.

  • @narutofan1108 You are wrong...those stations themselves would be the target of terrorists attack directly, long before an organized invasion of the U.S. could be launched...

  • @marklross2 Yes, they have been in the past, but it eventually comes back to us. I didn't say that an actually nation invading the U.S. is likely, but it can happen in an extreme case.

  • @marklross2

You are attempting to justify our corrupt and incompetent govt having 900+ bases in over 130 countries at a cost of roughly $1 Trillion per year? That's what I call military socialism and one massive redistribution of wealth. Do you notice an inconsistency among many conservatives who claim govt is utterly incompetent but yet they praise and glorify a branch of govt called the military?

It's a shame that some people don't understand that a bankrupt country can not defend itself.

  • @limitedgovt999 And yet what's the use of having ANYTHING if you can't defend yourself?

  • @marklross2

Proper defense does not need to cost $1 Trillion per year and have our military spread all throughout the world. Nor does defense require secret CIA operations that cause blowback and breeds terrorists.

At the rate our military and wars are expanding none of us will have anything left to defend. We'll work all year just to support the military. Then we will finally have full on socialism since we won't even be able to protect ourselves from our own govt.

  • @limitedgovt999 I'm glad you know what the defense of our nation requires. Where did you get your expert experience?

  • @marklross2

Using your logic only people that have been hit by cars would know to look both ways before crossing. Doesn't take an expert to figure it out.

Common sense would tell you that a country that makes up 5% of the worlds population shouldn't account for over 50% of worldwide military spending -particularly when that country owes the largest amount of money ever known to humankind.

Where did you get your experience?

  • @limitedgovt999 yeah - compare national defense to crossing thee street - well I guess that's all we need to know about your intellect...

  • @marklross2

Someone that actually had valid arguments should have shot holes into my arguments. The fact that you have failed to do so and proceeded to end with an insult is quite telling.

I'll end with this thought; we are supposed to live in the "home of the brave" but yet many conservatives require a global military empire to keep them feeling all warm and safe. Maybe that line is due for an update.

  • @limitedgovt999 If you think comparing national defense to "crossing the street" is valid - why waste my time? What you selfishly fail to see is that much of our overseas deployments keep other people safe....a cause worth its cost.

  • @marklross2

Please tell me where in the constitution it gives the Federal govt power to steal my money to keep foreigners "safe"?

Of course we don't keep any foreigners safe, we simply occupy their sovereign land, support dictators that oppress their people and enforce embargos that end up killing thousands which results in terrorist attacks against us. Not sure how that equates to keeping them safe

  • @limitedgovt999 Congress has the authorization "To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations."

When a genocide or other "offense against the Law of Nations" as defined by congress occurs in another country, we send in the military to punish those responsible, and as a result keep "foreigners" safe. I feel sorry for people like you who need government to tell you when something is just the right thing to do....

  • @marklross2

If you want to go help some other country where a genocide is taking place, you go right on ahead. Rally some like-minded people, raise some funds and go over there and risk your own lives. But to expect that the people of the United States should fund and risk American lives to protect foreigners is absolutely outrageous.

  • @limitedgovt999 It is outrageous...thank goodness MOST Americans aren't selfish like you, and know when it is he right thing to do. And thank goodness that thew brave men, women, and homosexuals who serve in our military agree....

  • @marklross2

How selfish of me to be concerned about all the innocent Afghani and Iraqi women and children who have been killed by U.S. soliders. How thoughtless of me to want to end the senseless wars displacing and destroying millions of peoples lives.

Do you think that govt is a charity or a keeper of the peace? Govt is coercion and force, a cold hearted oppressor of humanity. The only thing it is good at is destruction and murder.

  • @limitedgovt999 I reject your unfounded claims about all the innocent Afghani and Iraqi women and children who have been killed by U.S. soldiers. You are just parroting the line fed to you by the opposition. You have become their useful idiot. More innocent Afghani and Iraqi women and children who have been killed by suicide bombers than anything else. Why do you hate your own country so? Are you sick? You must be sick....

  • @marklross2

Have you ever heard of "collateral damage"?

I'm definitely sick -sick of our out of control govt and military empire and sick of arguing with people that are living in alternate realities where the military is full of compassionate angels. This compassionate military ideology of yours is at complete odds with all of history.

You are simply another sad case of jingoism, naivete and a perfect example of the failure of American schools to produce critical thinkers.

  • @limitedgovt999 Believe anything your obvious, left wing, propagandist re-education curriculum has convinced you to be true. Your acceptance of exaggerated collateral damage figures as published by Al Jazeera or Pravda is sad evidence of your gullibility. You are just another sad case of brainwashed, Ameria-hater mentality who could find fault in the liberation of France from Nazi germany in WWII. Your warped view of the world so inculcated into your twisted mind by the liberal academia...

  • @marklross2

If you actually believe what the U.S. govt, military or mainstream media tells you then all of my previous comments have just been reaffirmed.

Continuing your blind faith of a supposedly compassionate govt is going to result in disaster once this country is completely bankrupt and at the mercy of foreigners. Who is the America hater, the one trying to right everything that is wrong with the country or the one who promotes reckless spending and military expansion?

  • @limitedgovt999 The mainstream media tells me what you claim - the U.S. is a military bully. Fuck that - I pay attention to the reports I see from the peoples we have liberated. They are all over the internet despite the blatant attempts by the mainstream media and people like you to silence their testimony. You are an ass. I don't support reckless spending. The military budget is not what has bankrupt the country. All the other reckless spending Øbama has done is to blame.

  • @limitedgovt999 Oh there is great waste in the military as well, remember the $2500 toilet? The $800 hammer? Great waste. However, we have the greatest fighting force in the world because of our men and women in uniform. In that respect only, are conservatives proud of their military.

We are there at the request of those nations.
