  • This is great!! I've heard another blues harmonica artist on the underground. Leicester square just before christmas, it was awesome!

  • @muteharp90

    Hi Marco,

    Thanks for your comments!

The distortion is directly from the amp that is described in the text box to the video.

    Hakan

  • I would've had to stop to sing.

Barks out, ♪Life's down the tube, gonna catch that crowded train. Goin' home again.♪

  • Hakan has that kind of rock attitude to blues that nobody else in the net. People play either blues or rock. Hakan plays heavy, hard, bluesy and rocky. Bravo maestro.

  • I've never seen one harmonica playing musician on the streets here in Australia. Not one. If you had been playing in the streets, I would've stopped and commended you on how absolutely great you sound.

    Fucking. Awesome.

  • Thank you!

  • Dude, you really got cool ideas about playing locations !!!

    I'm really like it

  • Most time when i am out on the streets i wear headphones but if i see a street musican i put them down to show my respect for the art an to hear what they do ,... ohh man you fucking rock ,... i cant tell it with words,...

ps: sorry for my bad english ,...

  • Thanks for your comments! I didn´t expect people to like this distorted rock/blues soundbut it was fun to try.

  • My question is: Cant the people hear the music?

So what i mean is , this is not a Video where you laid the music under it after recording?

I would never be able to go ahead when someone plays soo nice funky music in the streets or subway,... i dont understand this,... they all go like there is nothing,...

  • Of course they can hear the music, it´s recorded live. I was a tourist and this is in the middle of the week so they were going home from work. You know, it´s another tempo in the weekends.

  • Today I bought my first harmonica hohner blues harp in c. I trying play on it, i have abs for simple song but everything sounds really crap. Beginnings always looks crap or am i crap ?

  • Yes beginning is always crap!! But if you really love your harmonica you will learn

  • should have installed camera to film their backs +) I bet they turned their head in the end

  • ahh man how come i'm never lucky enough to come across a harmonica street performer when i'm using the tube.. :(

i hav been thinking of giving it a go myself actually

  • Go ahead and try! Actually my playing was probably a little illegal. I talked to a musician and he said they had to play auditions and get approved before they got their plastic cards that showed they where allowed to play.

  • o my i never knew tht..

thts sorta ridiculous/ off putting. i may give it a go 'illegally' in the near future tho, give the stone fox chase lick a go :)

  • Great stuff mate. Really enjoyed that.

  • good to hear, thanks!

  • very cool!!! 5*

    Greetings

    Konstantin

  • HI Hakan,

    Excellent as always !

I like a lot the sound in the subway corridors.

THanks a lot for sharing with us.

    STeph.

  • Hi Steph,

    Thank you!

    Hakan

  • Hi Hakan great playing again, great sound you got down there...you should try and get over for the NHL harmonica festival in bristol at the end of october

  • Thanks, i will read more about the NHL!

    Hakan

  • cool!

  • On the road again - excelllent - are you visting the UK. where did you get the backing for your ipod - welcome to the UK

  • Thanks. I visited London for two nights, really like London and I hadn´t been there since 2007. I created the backing track in my BOSS BR-1600CD recording equipment.

  • is it easy to create tracks with a Boss studio? or is it very complicated. i love the footage of the London underground & your version of on the road again

  • It´s a function called "EZ Compose" with preset patterns for bass and drums, so it´s easy to create some simple backing tracks. I don´t know if it´s the most cost-effective tool to make backing tracks. You can read more about it in the info box (see link). I tried it in the store before I bought it, that´s a good thing to do.

  • Hi Hakan Where You Playing In London Or Was It You Dubbing On The Road Again Or Roadhouse Blues With The Video? Grate Playing Anyway.

  • Thank you!

I was playing there and I put my camera very close to my small roland microcube amp to have a good sound. I also used bass& drum backing track from my ipod connected to the microcube. It wasn´t possible to have myself in the video for practical reasons

  • I Wish I Was There Hakan Maybe Next Time. I'll Bring My Gob Iron Or Keyboard And Join You. LOL

Grate Playing Again. Hope You Enjoyed London.
