Is there a way to render the entire view, or to select manually the render area?

    I mean, the blue rectangle.

  • this looks amazing. Thank you very much

  • I don't have the "Plugins" button in Sketchup. Can someone please tell me what to do?

  • Very helpful, thank you so much.

  • Hey thanks heaps, helped me a lot with my renderings in Kerkythea

  • Now I have a very bad processor so i´m going to buy a much better computer, but i dont have a clear idea of what kind of processor it might be and that things... do you know exactly what caractheristics may have the pc to work 100%

I will thank any help, really.

  • @Nejisasan huh... try i7 8Gb RAM 64bit OS + echo boost Kerkythea - however, Kerky will get the job done on just about any PC, it's just a matter of speed. ;)

  • Nice freeware and nice demonstration! Do u think Kerkythea the best free renderer? Any free rendered that requires no export?

  • the best

  • when I import my sketchup file to kerkythea all the colours dissapear:( Any ideas? :)

  • @sjogge123

(1.) Make sure that your faces are correct (say, the real "face" not the "back" part which is usually darker or something bluish before applying a material)... if it isn't, right click on the face and select "reverse face".

(2.) Make sure nothing is selected before exporting, because if you select something like the window of your house model, Kerkythea will only export that entity.

(3.) If there is still no color or material in Kerkythea... press View -> Adjust -> Solid Rendering.

  • what was the reverse face plugin you used

  • @VannHerrenDesigns there is no plugin you just right click on the face and click reverse face

  • Thank you so much for tutorial :D,, its so very needed. can you make tutor part render by artlantis studio? Thanks

  • thanks! this helped alot! =)

  • I only use one surface for glass. Its easier that way. The kerkythea "thin glass"material is all I ever use

  • great tut. thumbs up

  • Did you use 2 surfaces for the glass of window for getting a nice and realistic window render? The modell looks amazing! Thank you for the tutorial.

  • i trying to learn sketchup and kerkythea, this will help so much.

my university (TU Delft) wants me to learn Autodesk Maya. i know how to use that, but i reallly dont like that programme, i rather use sketchup and kerkythea.

Nobody in the industry uses Maya because its so expensive, so why should we?

thanks alex for showing us how to use it properly

  • thanks for the tutorial, i really appreciated ;)
