Violence in the betting industry

Its getting ridiculous, i work in a town centre betting shop and am often single manning all evening till 9:30pm. Including an evening recently a day after a serious assault on another betting shop worker not far from my shop.

My son works in a betting shop, he used to love it a few years back, especially Saturdays with the buzz of the football.

But then came along Sunday opening every sunday, then not long after that, evening racing. I cant believe that a cash environment such as a betting shop is open from 9am until 9.30pm!!!!

Doubt you would catch any bank open until 6pm let alone 9.30 and single manning? Whats that all about.

Greedy bookmakers taking liberties- that what its all about.

Good to see Community working on this. As your guy said, it's not the staff who gain from the huge losses people make. It's unfair they should be put at the sharp end of it.
