Flat engines and boxer engines have two banks of horizontal cylinders, such as bmw bikes, aircooled vw, porsche and subaru. The difference is the crank pin configuration, a boxer engine throws two opposing pistons out at the same where as a flat engines crank will throw the pistons out in a different configuration to a boxer, depending on the design and firing order for smoother power delivery.

Actually "Boxer" has everything to do with how the cylinders are arranged. They are a flat 4 or 6 cylinder motor, and they are aligned horizontally, not in an inline pattern, and not in a V.

What good is a topmount intercooler if its not getting air flow? Not is it just sitting on top of the engine in a dome shape engine bay, its not going to get any cool air back there. Cool car, cool concept, but you have to do a front mount with this car.

@solhays85 Actually, it does get airflow. See the airscoops in the rear windows? The firewall behind the back seat is missing, so logically air would flow through and out the back of the car. It sure would be noisy though, and smelly when you're stopped, lol. But that won't matter much if its only a show car or used for racing.
